Frances Reid, the beloved star of "Days of Our Lives" since its inception in 1965, has passed away. Ms. Reid died on February 3, 2010 in California at the age of 95. Known to millions of fans throughout the world as Salem's favorite grandmother, Alice Horton, Reid was the last remaining original castmember of "Days." Thanks so much Jason. You brought tears to my eyes and wonderful memories. Boy I am going to miss Alice/Frances. Even though we did not see her on the show it was a comfort to know that she was around in Salem.

Ohhhh!! I am so sad!!! Although I did not know her, she seemed like a wonderful lady. Especially if she was anything like Alice!!

I truly hope Days gives her the respect and acknowledge that she deserves... She has touched so many lives through all these years. I didn't know her personally but did feel like I knew her as I grew up as Grandma Alice.

Her family and friends will be in my thoughts and prayers...

So sad. I, too, hope that Days pays proper tribute. Truly the end of an era.
