Horton Family Tree

Soap Opera Digest’s August 18, 2009 issue answered a letter to the editor about the complicated Horton family tree. Here is the essence.


Children

Tom and Alice had five children: Tommy, Addie, Mickey, Bill, and Marie.


Grandchildren

Tommy has a daughter with Kitty Horton -- Sandy.

Addie (who died in 1974) had two children with Ben Olson -- Julie and Steve. She had Hope with Doug Williams, which makes Julie both Hope’s half sister and stepmother.

Mickey and Maggie are legal guardians of Melissa Anderson. They also had a foster child named Janice who was killed by the Riverfront Knifer in 1988. They also had Sarah Horton who is the biological daughter of Maggie and Dr. Neil Curtis, the product of a surrogacy program at University Hospital.

Bill had two children with Laura -- Mike and Jennifer, and a son with Kate -- Lucas.

Marie had a daughter with Alex Marshall -- Jessica Fallon.


Great Grandchildren

Steve Olson had a son named Spencer.

Julie Olson has a son with her late husband David Banning -- David.

Hope and Bo have Shawn-Douglas and Ciara. They also had Zack, who died in 2006.

Melissa’s son is Nathan, who recently came to town to live with Maggie.

Mike has a son with Robin Jacobs -- Jeremy.

Jennifer and Jack Deveraux have Abigail and Jack Jr.

Lucas has two children with Sami Brady -- Will and Allie.

Jessica has a son with Joshua Fallon -- Nick.


Great-Great Grandchildren

Scotty Banning, whose parents are David Banning and Trish Clayton.

Claire Brady, whose parents are Shawn D. Brady and Belle Black.

Also, the biological father of Julie's son was David Martin (Julie & David weren't married). His adoptive father, and later Julie's husband, was Scott Banning (not David Banning).
