Episode #11,258 Taped 11/30 Director – Albert Alarr

Boy, bad news and good news. Lost power during the wee hours, but the good news is it happened after I got the show. However, just too many things going on, and the 30 second scenes make it all sort of difficult to follow. But….Sami comes out into her living room, picking up a couple sweatshirts laying on the sofa, flashing back to her argument with Rafe. He comes in the door, no more news about Sydney, he is sorry. She apologizes for what she said to him earlier, she didn’t mean it. But Rafe says it was the truth, he is not in the equation, EJ & Sami are the parents and make the decisions, has nothing to do with him. She denies that, he tells her she doesn’t trust him, she denies that, saying she trusts him with her life, her children’s lives, but Rafe is rather resigned to not being a part of it all. In the midst of this, Gabi arrives, needing to talk to Rafe. Sami goes into another room, Gabi tells Rafe of Arianna being attacked and going back to prison, Rafe leaves with her. Sami comes out to the empty room, appears ticked off, grabs her things and leaves.

Down at the cop shop, Brady is raising cain over Arianna being sent back to prison, Roman can do nothing, Arianna understands, learns she is going to Statesville, where Nicole is incarcerated. She tells Brady now both his girlfriends will be in the same prison. Rafe has arrived, decides he will not let this happen, gets hold of Tim, and asks him to talk to the “man in charge”, after all, Arianna put her own life in danger, gave them Troy, had no backup, etc. Tim thinks the guy he has to talk to is a mean, vindictive SOB and will love it. Later, Arianna is cuffed, crying, saying goodbye to Gabi and Brady, when Roman comes in, saying to get the cuffs off, A DEA agent called, she is off the hook. Arianna asks how this happened, Roman tells her he figures Rafe happened.

Vivian is in Maggie’s kitchen with Melanie, who leaves the room, Vivian gets a call from Gus, telling her the birthdate on Carly’s child match Melanie’s. Vivian is astonished, Melanie returns, Viv pretends her call was a surprise for Melanie, talks of her necklace being loose, goes behind her, hands around her throat, but thinks better of it. She is acting rather weird, finally leaves. Later Maggie is there, talking to Melanie who tells her of Vivian’s visit and all the questions about her personal life. Maggie tells her of Kate’s visit, same thing. Both women are pretending to be offering condolences but want to talk of Melanie, who thinks both are trying to be on Philip’s good side. Melanie says not to worry about Kate, cause she will always think about chloe in that hospital bed when Kate is around. Maggie goes upstairs to rest, looks tired, and Philip arrives. He was going to take Melanie out for something to eat, but she doesn’t want to leave Maggie, They end up with leftovers from the frig, as she tells him of Viv’s visit. Philip is surprised, he told Vivian to lay off. Melanie doesn’t understand why Viv wants to know so much about her family, background, etc.

Earlier, Philip came to talk to Victor about Vivian, asking him if he is in love with her. Victor nearly chokes on that, worrying Philip, but he is laughing so hard at the idea. Phil doesn’t like the idea of Vic & Viv joining him on his honeymoon, Victor assures him they will not….telling Philip he is getting married and to lighten up. LOL. Meanwhile, Viv meets Gus on the docks, receiving the report that shows the birth certificate, confirming Melanie is Carly’s daughter. After Philip is gone, Vivian returns, showing Victor the report from Gus. Victor is rather surprised, warns Vivian about what happened to Kate. She is puzzled, he reminds her that she hurt his godson, and she was banished forever, and if Vivian hurts his son…..well, she gets the idea. She talks about what a pleasure it would have been to tell Carly she killed her daughter, can’t she tell her anyway, just making it up. Victor forbids that, then asks if she remembers how her burying Carly turned out. She rather delights in remembering how she felt when she did that. She ponders as she realizes she is going to have to rethink everything now. Melanie tho is just a pawn in this game, and pawns are meant to be sacrificed.

Carly is asleep on the sofa, dreaming of having told Melanie she is her mother, of Melanie & Philip coming over for BBQ party. Philip goes to help Bo with the steaks, she & Melanie exhange some rather shy conversation, when suddenly, Melanie’s face changes, she falls to the floor, Vivian stands in the doorway, gun in hand, telling Carly that payback is a b*****. Carly wakes up to knocking on the door, it is Justin, who has come to more or less tell Carly off for what she is doing to Bo & Hope’s marriage. Carly insists Hope is responsible, but Justin figures different. They go back and forth, how Carly moved right into Bo’s house, making herself at home, how Bo leaves for a grieving Hope, and with the family gathered, Carly shows up there. She tries to make excuses, Justin will have none of it, calls her a mistress at one point, says that she is always talking of how horrible Lawrence was in their life together, maybe he was horrible because of her. Slaaapppp, she gives him a resounding one. He comments that she seems to have kept in shape. She tries to turn things around, accusing Justin of waiting coiled up, ready to spring to console Hope at the first opportunity. Justin doesn’t let her get away with it, reminding her that if he did have any feelings towards Hope, he hasn’t acted on them…..again calling her on her coming to town with the express intent of getting Bo. She finally gets him to leave, with another “vow to protect her daughter” after she shuts the door.

Stefano fingers the medicine bottle, telling EJ this is for an infant, and accusing him of knowing where Sydney is. EJ neither admits or denies, does his usual evasive tactics, Stefano talks of trusting him, of the family closing ranks, EJ throws back how Stefano closed ranks with Nicole against him. EJ claims the medicine is for Johnny, Stefano doesn’t believe him since it is for an infant, EJ claims Johnny was under a lot of stress (??) and so they have been using this for him. Sami arrives, wanting to know what is going on, then confirms the medicine is for Johnny, who nearly choked swallowing a pill last week, so she has been giving him his medicine in a dropper ever since. Stefano leaves the room, Sami says she just did not want to be alone, EJ is sympathetic, they have no more news about Sydney, maybe they should have told Rafe sooner. No, says Sami, we did the right thing…as soon as the FBI got involved, everything went wrong. She worries now they will never hear from the kidnappers again. He assures her they will, his arm is around her, rubbing her shoulder…as Stefano appears in the doorway, observing and wondering to himself what EJ is up to now.

EJ is the snake of snakes. Poor Rafe, as if he does not have enough to deal with he has to make sure his sister stays out of prison.

Love that Justin told Carly off. Someone had to.

Thanks for the write up.
I get so mad at this show sometimes & the writing. I have to continually tell myself, this is just a show, these are just characters, not real people. Grrrrr!!
Makes me wonder why I still watch!
So many of these characters tick me off!!
OK...remind me everyone...This is just a show!!

Ohhh so the dropper and med bottle were not Sydney's after all. Looks like Stefano is figuring it out. So glad that Arianna does not have to go to jail. I really like her and she did live up to her end of the bargain. Thanks so much for the write up Looking forward to seeing it later.

Oh, that's just stupid. There are plenty of liquid medicines for young children. In fact, the over the counter stuff is either liquid or chewable, no pills to swallow. My youngest is 7, and all the over the counter stuff for her age group is liquid or chewable. As a plot device, this one is incredibly thin.

Had a thought on the meds--Did EJ just go refill one of Johnny's older ones so no one would ask questions??? A lot of doctors will refill ones over the phome with out needing to see the child... So that would be why Sami did not lie about it.. -orrigionally it was Johnny's meds..
