Feelings About Nathan

It's obvious which camp I’m in, but I know there are people here who like Nathan.

I believe the writers think they are writing him as a sweet and sincere guy. I doubt whether they realize that they’ve created a cad and a playboy who is immature and afraid to commit, someone who prefers to keep his options open, regardless of who he hurts or lies to in the process.

I remember him telling Stephanie, “I did a lot of thinking while I was in jail. I’m changing my life and it starts with you.” What a line! And he’s got a million of ‘em. Just the fact that Carly thinks well of him is enough to make me question his character.

Meanwhile, I haven’t seen him make any commitment to Stephanie beyond asking her to romp with him in the snow. They are keeping their relationship a secret and he takes every chance he gets to be snarky toward Melanie. Lest we forget that he broke up with her while she was trying to be honest with him.

That’s my opinion. What’s yours? Do you like him more? Less? The same as before?

I guess I basically "like" Nathan (I picked 'same as before').......but the whole Melanie/Nathan/Stephanie/Phillip SL is kind of exasperating!!! It's SOOOOOOOO high school! Maybe even JUNIOR high! LOL

I liked Nathan until he denied that he was on a date with Mel and flirted with Stephanie during said date. So I guess I liked him for about 2 weeks. lol Then again I didn't like that he jumped to the conclusion that it was Melanie's fault that Nick was in prison. So maybe I never really liked him.


Let me add that his outward persona (The next generation of polite Horton doctor who really looked up to Tom's legacy) isn't who he is in his personal life at all.

I stopped like him as much when just the other day when he had the chance to tell Melanie that it was her he loved and didn't. He is lying to Stephanie that it is her that he wants and is making her keep the relationship secert.

I like Nathan the same as I did before. I loved the fact that he brought out the good in Melanie and showed her that she really could overcome her past and be the better and bigger person.

what I don't like is how he keeps flopping on his feelings. It's obvious that he loves Melanie, but it was his decision to break up, not hers. She was honest about her feelings for Phillip with him, but he can't extend the same courtesy when the shoe is on the other foot. so I'm still middle of the road with Nathan. I like him one minute and hate him the next. I have to add, that I HATE him with Stephanie. Maybe its' just Stephanie that I dont' like, but that's another topic..............

Ditto! (oh except that now I really don't like Nathan or Stephanie...but then again...I haven't liked Stephanie since she let Owen get away....should have left her locked up in the vault!)

i voted that i like nathan more than before but it comes with a caveat. i only like him as a love interest for melanie but if he's with stephanie....gag!
