Default 1984 Days

There seems to be alot of resources here for Days of Our Lives. With that in mind, does anyone know where exactly "The Island" story of 1984 was filmed?

Synopis....It was fall 1984 and Anna Dimera, Tony Dimera, Eugene Bradford and Calliope Jones were going to Eugene's family estate on Haiti in order to do a photo shoot for Anna Dimera Designs (Calliope was actually the designer). Roman Brady was going with them to meet with an ISA contact, however it was a trick to get Roman to Stephano Dimera's island in the caribbean.

Tony Dimera's mother Daphne also is on the plane and she unknowingly has a prism that Stephano wants. Andre Dimera also wants the prism and hijacks the plane, giving the pilot of a heart attack, causing the plane to crash.

Roman and Marlena's newborn son is taken to the hospital with health issues so Bo decides to take Roman's place on the plane. In the meantime Hope Williams was forced to marry Larry Welch and pretending to be pregnant. On the morning of the bon voyage party Hope's bodyguard realizes she is not pregnant and tries to rape her. Larry stops the rape but is furious to find out Hope has been lying about being pregnant. They fight and Hope knocks Larry down a flight of stairs and he is unconscious. She runs to the airport and finds out that Bo is on the plane, so she runs onto the runway and gets on the plane.

So now Daphne, Tony and Anna Dimera, Eugene Bradford, Calliope Jones, Bo and Hope, Liz Curtis and Carlos are all alive when they crash on the island. Unaware that Andre is there, Anna mistakes him for Tony, meanwhile Tony is rescued on the other side of the island and does not know that the others survived.

AFter a while on the island, Daphne Dimera dies and Roman and Stephano both find the survivors at the same time, the only thing Stephano wants is the prism. Tony ends up killing andre, stephano gets the prism. And one of the most popular moments of daytime tV, Roman is killed when Stephano shoots him and he falls from the cliff on the island as Bo and Hope watch unable to help. Bo pushes hope away blaming her for Romans' death because he would have been able to help Roman if he was not busy rescuing Hope from Stephano's yacht.

I was only 14 at the time and it was thanksgiving break, I will NEVER forget that storyline, imo one of the BEST ever written on daytime tv.

So again I ask does anyone know where the island story was filmed?

Hi Guys,

No idea where it was filmed but below is the YOUTUBE link to the channel that has playlists of most of that storyline posted - I agree - one of the best storylines on a soap ever. Credit goes to MadelineHawaii's YOUTUBE Channel:

Part 2 (The Island Scenes):

Part 1 (The First Prism):

Part 3 (After the Island up til the famous "Ice Show"

Best to watch them in order for consistency, and the channel even has the Ice Show etc that followed the Prism Storyline.....

Enjoy

Love watching some old 1984 clips of Bope for the first time. My parents watched back then but I was too young. I was only 3 years old. I missed all of Bope's early stuff as I didn't start watching til around 1987-1988. Bo and Hope were so cute back then with their love/hate relationship. So many great storylines! So much excitement and passion! Wish they could write some better storyline for them now. It's a shame to see what they have come to. Still loving them though! Never giving up on them. NEVER!
