Thumbs up Days Renewed for 2010-2011 Season
Just read on a number of different twitter sites that NBC renewed Days of our Lives through the 2010 - 2011 season...

Great news soap fans! NBC has renewed Days of our Lives through 2011, according to The Live Feed.

“‘Days of our Lives’ continues to be a favorite of the daytime audience and we are thrilled to keep it going through its 45th season,” said Marc Graboff, chairman, NBC Entertainment. “‘Days’ has shown year-to-year increases in key female demographics and remains both relevant and fresh creatively.”

Just wished they had renewed it for more than one year... but it gives this soap fan a sign of relief that at least we don't have to worry about this again for a while!

NBC today announced that "Days of our Lives" has been picked up through 2010-11.

"'Days of our Lives' continues to be a favorite of the daytime audience and we are thrilled to keep it going through its 45th season," said Marc Graboff, chairman, NBC Entertainment and Universal Media Studios.

Bruce Evans, senior vice president, Drama Programming, NBC Entertainment, added, "The producers, cast and crew have worked tirelessly to make 'Days' the ratings success it is today. Today's renewal is a true testament to all of their hard work. We could not be more delighted for them and for the multiple generations of fiercely loyal 'Days of our Lives' fans."

"Days of our Lives" airs weekdays on NBC.

This is regarding a new thread I posted regarding the same topic, but didn't list the site thoroughly. I would like to offer my apology to Poirot and fellow SS members:
I'm so sorry Poirot, in my excitement I didn't remember to say the news was on a sidebar site of Popeater. I should have posted the site name of the sidebar, not Popeater. I see they have updated some of the sidebar news and I couldn't remember what site actually posted it. Again, my apologies...

@Marifry......Tis fine......I WAS so excited to read your post, but when I could not find it anywhere......well, at least we know Days is definitely with us another 18 months. (It has to be Sept. of 2011)

Definitely, we need to celebrate.....

Though it's been rumored for weeks, it's finally official: NBC has announced that it has given the 44-year-old sudser a pickup that will keep it on the air through 2011.

LOL, everyone is so excited that a bunch of posts are popping up about it. Looks like Poirot has a lot of merging to do.
