Top Of the Morning!

As I prepare to leave for the day I am sporting my Shamrock scrubs. Erin Go Braugh. Wishing each of you a fun-filled St. Patrick's Day.

The Irish cookies are now boxed and labeled. My hubby's was made with his favorite Tullamore Dew (whiskey).:) He and his office mates should be very light hearted today.

Be sure to remember 'the wearin' of the green' today!

Good morning all, Mother Nature decided no green outdoors today, as it snowed a few inches over night, and it is very, very WHITE out there. Cloudy and overcast, but definitely looking like December. LOL Most of this weather pattern has moved south, but ....yep, they are saying we still can get some freezing rain. How fun atop the snow. Yep, stayin' in.

So, yep, corned beef today, despite being Friday in Lent. Bishop gave special dispensation so people can enjoy the day.

Happy St. Patty's Day, Noel and others to join. Currently riding the train to downtown and is starting out to be a nice morning. Parents arrived last night and had a visit then watched the movie Hidden Figures which was very good.

I love my parents, they're great people. Can you feel a big fat but coming on? But it's like we are in question period in the House of Commons or that we are on an investigation series like 20/20 when my mom comes to visit. It's like she is always fishing for information, verifying something that one of my sisters told her, in case our stories don't match, then we are hiding something. There's always a little tiny bit of hidden agenda to her questions before you get to what she is really asking.

Myself and my 3 sisters are always on our guard and careful to not let something slip in case one of us hasn't shared something with them yet. Hence, I thought it'd be a good idea to put a movie on so we could take a bit of a break from question after question after question after question.............after question. LOL!

Ok, that's my vent for the day. I love my parents. Ok, we ALL have had little irks when it comes to our parents. Who are you to JUDGE ME???!?!!?!! (Spoken in the voice of Dorothy Zbornak from Golden Girls, yes Poirot, that was for you!)

Hope everyone has a great day and a few toasts to my friends here.

May you die in bed at 95 years old, shot by a jealous husband or wife!

Here's to long life and merry one.
A quick death and an easy one.
A pretty girl and an honest one.
A cold beer, then another one.

There are many good reasons for drinking,
One has just entered my head.
If a man doesn't drink when he's living,
How in the hell can he drink when he's dead?

Good Morning,

We awoke to find snow on the ground as well as falling from the sky, however by the time I left the house it had turned to rain.

Although I'm not Irish, I am wearing green. Although, I never did take to liking corned beef and cabbage, so I'll probably be going out for fish tonight. I'm not Catholic either, just love fish. :)

Noel - enjoy the day and your cookies.

Poirot - be safe in the yucky weather. You got more snow than I did

Muzz - parents are funny that way, always knowing which buttons to push to drive us crazy. But I figure they installed the buttons so they know best how to find them. :rotfl: Love you poem.

Have a wonderful St Patrick's Day everyone!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day, the one day of the year we are all Irish.

According to Ancestry's DNA testing, I am 24% Irish, which was a surprise.

Muzz - have fun with your parents, even if you have to watch your words.

Noel - glad all the cookies were baked and ready. Baking in AZ is a challenge.

Have a great Friday.

I think I would rather try muskrat, than opossum, based upon their diet. :)

I accidentally tuned into the "Naked and Afraid" TV show the other day. The couple killed and ate a skunk. They must have been very hungry!

Top of the morning to all! I have my green on and haven't had to pinch anyone yet! My daughter is having us all over for Irish meat pies (those that can eat it). I will bring a chicken breast, LOL! She is funny. A vegetarian but always has something with meat. Her husband is the cook!! She is also having a scavenger hunt with a pot of gold at the end. This will be interesting!

Mild weather here. Overcast but 40's!

Noel - enjoy your cookies. Sounds like we should all visit your husband's workplace today!

Poirot - You're really holding on to winter this year! So sorry.

Muzz - my parents are gone but I do remember having to watch what one said or it could be blown way out! We always say, I will never do that to my kids and I sure hope I don't turn old like that!

JS - the Logo game sounds fun. I will have to watch for that one!

I can barely get chicken down, let alone opossum, muskrat, or skunk. Yuck!

Have a great day.

Shan: dinner and a scavenger hunt is great fun. Enjoy. The UK countries mean "meat" when they say meat pies. When I was served my first one I asked what kinda meat. They said 'bird" and I could hear a Magpie clawing outside. Since then I opt for another entree.

It's been a nice day. I may have to go back outside for just a little longer! Poirot, I'm starting to smell a hint of that low propane gas. Hopefully I won't have anymore low temperatures. I'd hate to spend over $200 for gas at this point!

I wore a bit of green today, just so I wouldn't get pinched. Shan would have loved that opportunity, lol!

Take care.

Hi everybody. I'm playing designated driver today. Oh Lordy, I can't stand being in a place full of drunk people.

Dropped friends off at one place then went to get my hair cut. Went back to pick them up, and took them to the second place where I had ginger ale because I wanted to listen to the bagpiper. Left the friends there, and I'm now sitting at the American Legion (2 doors down from the bar) having another ginger ale and popcorn. I told my friends to walk down when they're ready for dinner.

Another gloomy day here. I hope the sun comes back soon. My cherry tree has
more blooms out.

I went to the dentist this morning. They have new rules. The patient has to wear
something like sunglasses when getting your teeth clean. I don't know if you're
already wearing glasses if you have to wear a pair or not. The hygienist said it
was to prevent stuff going into your eyes. I always keep them closed at the dentist.

I cooked corned beef yesterday and ate some today. I might get a cabbage tomorrow
if I see a small one.

With all the rules out there today, I bet pinching someone not wearing green isn't
a good idea anymore.

rs, I'm sorry you have to be the driver for your drinking friends. At least, you know they
are safe. Just because it's St. Patrick's Day doesn't mean you go out and get drunk.

Muzzaman, enjoy your weekend with your family. Time goes by too quickly.

kt, when you buy propane, do you have to fill it up or only get what you need?

I hope everyone has a safe and good evening.
