Roman has come to visit with son, Eric, who has finally shaved off the beard. He is happy Eric is coming back to Salem, even though Eric makes sure he knows it is just a trial run.He comments that his mom succeeded in convincing him, whereas his dad could not. Jennifer bursts in, without knocking, apologizes if interrupting, is all smiles and happy Eric is coming back. Roman gives him the name of a realtor friend, Eric calls, gets a studio apt., everyone is happy. Jen brought papers for him to sign, Roman leaves, has thanked Jen for helping get Eric back. Eric signs the papers, which do give him an out in case he "feels the walls closing in" as Jen puts it. She begins babbling away about when they both came together, were in a bad place, how they felt, etc. Eric shuts her up with a big kiss.

Claire is pestering a reluctant Theo about having sex. He just did not think she wanted to do this so soon. Ciara comes in, came for some things, spending the night with her mom. This makes Claire very happy, Ciara is going to celebrate "Gramma" getting out of prison (yes, she did say that). Ciara goes to pack a few things, it is now made apparent Theo is not "ready", needs protection. Claire agrees, knows what happened with Joey & Jade. She is in 7th heaven, they will have the whole place to themselves. Theo goes to drugstore to get what he needs, Ciara comes out, hugs between the girls, glad they are both o.k. and still friends.

Ciara bumps into a nervous Theo, they do some awkward small talk, he leaves. She looks despondent, Julie arrives. (Love that Salem mid-March summer time weather, lol). She makes Ciara sit down, tell her what is bothering her, then suggests that if Ciara would feel wierd talking to Theo in person, she write him a letter, telling him how she feels, then give it him. That way she can be honest and still friends, etc. Ciara loves the idea, thanks gramma, runs off to do just that.

Ciara sits at a table in the square, writes the letter, reading it aloud so we know what it says. She screwed up when he told her how he felt, is sorry, knows he is with Claire now, just hopes they will always be friends. She decides, since Theo is out running errands, she will take it to the apt., leave it there for him.

Meanwhile, Claire has put up a bunch of tiny lights in the window, Theo returns with his little pharmacy bag, Is Claire really ready for this. Oh, is she ever, kissing, onto the sofa, she helps him take off his shirt, jumps on top of him. And in comes Ciara, (they don't see her) who sees them, spots the box of condoms, is embarrassed and then some.

Nicole & Brady are in their heavy coats, baseball caps (gee, weather sure is colder where they are, lol) fake passports, hoping they have no trouble crossing border into Canada. Brady says not to worry, just taking Holly to meet her gramma in Winnipeg. Holly cries, Nicole notes she is flushed, ears all red, she is sick. Nik panics, Brady calm, knows where they can take her.

and next they are in Dr. Lee's office, with him surprised to see them. Sorry, he won't treat Holly, is duty bound to report them to police. Brady talks hard and fast, reminding the doc how he allowed Chloe to steal Nicole & Daniel's baby, he owes her. Finally, Dr. Lee agrees to treat Holly, they all go in exam room. Later, he gives Nik medicine for Holly, leaves the room, will be back to check.

In the square, Chloe is thanking Eduardo for all he is doing to help find her baby. He is the only one who is doing so. She hugs him, Kate comes along, asking Eddie if he has all his inoculations. Chloe is talking of HER baby, Kate is appalled, it is Nicole's. Eddie remarks the court gave her to chloe. Kate is on a rant, talking of what Chloe did to Lucas, to Philip, she has a lot of nerve. Eduardo talks to Kate on the side, why is she being like this, siding with Nicole and all. Kate spits out that it is because it happened to her. A woman as delusional as Chloe stole Kate's embryo, had it implanted in herself. She has gone thru it all, then goes on about all the men Chloe has enlisted thru the years to be her white knight, to help her, all of whom suffered for it. And now she has Eddie, and why, because there is not another man she can ask, they have all been there, done that, been burned. Eddie wonders if she is jealous...far from it. But one thing I know now, you are not as smart as I thought you were, She leaves.

She goes to the Pub, orders a dry martini, bartender turns, it is Roman! Asks if she wants a twist, or olive, and what happened, she sounds like she really needs that drink. She evidently tells him all, Roman asks if she really faulted Eduardo as she described. You bet she did. Yep, that is what all men want to hear, that they are stupid, gullible and wrong. Roman thinks Eddie is a violent jerk, and a lot more, but Kate seems to go for that in a man. He goes on that if she is not willing to say goodbye.she has a lot of damage control to do now. He walks away, she wonders why the heck men have to be so sensitive.

Eddie gets a call from Dr. Lee, who tells him only to get over to his office right away. Eddie tells Chloe, and off they go.

Nicole & Brady are waiting for Dr. Lee to return to the exam room, Brady gets nervous, they should leave. He doesn't trust Lee. When Eddie & Chloe arrive, Dr. Lee takes them to the exam room, which is empty. They are gone. No, he did not call cops, Ed said he wanted to handle this himself. Eddie gets on his phone, figures they won't get far.

Nicole & Brady are in the alley, Nik thinks Brady is right, Dr. Lee could have called the cops. Brady says not to worry, we will call a doc when we get to Canada. Nope, Nicole will get a doctor, Brady has to stay here, think of Tate. If he stays with her, he could get arrested, and then Tate will have lost both parents. Brady is firm, he is not leaving her, not til he knows she & Holly are both safe, they are in this together. They rush off.

Note...no one is wearing green today on the show. LOL
Please tell me, when you see it, if there appeared to be a difference at times in Jennifer's makeup...her lipstick in particular.

Was so good to see Roman. And gosh Greg Vaughan (Eric) has let his hair grow a bit, and looks so good without the facial hair.

Meanwhile, Claire has put up a bunch of tiny lights in the window, Theo returns with his little pharmacy bag, Is Claire really ready for this. Oh, is she ever, kissing, onto the sofa, she helps him take off his shirt, jumps on top of him. And why in world would they "do it" on the couch, out in the open like that (instead of going to one of their bedrooms)?? Oh, I know. Da' plot, da' plot. That way, Ciara couldn't see them getting ready to "do the deed".

Thanks for the summary. Wow this was a great one! I just LOVED Kate ripping into Eduardo. I used to like him, but he sure has become a loser ever since he started groveling to Kate (of all people) and then helping Chloe, having this odd vendetta against Nicole despite never meeting her. It was also really good to see her interacting with Roman at the bar. Heck, it was good to see Roman at all! Still not digging Jennifer and Eric, but it was good to see Eric shaven and smiling a bit.

Another treat today was Brady using his brain by not trusting Dr. Lee. I'm getting sick and tired of Chloe. Just love that Brady is choosing to help Nicole even at the cost of his friendship with her.

The teens were just more filler. I'm not the biggest Julie fan, but surely there's a better way to give her more screen time than continuing to involve her in this crap?

The best part of the show was seeing Roman behind the bar. We all talked about
what he might do when he retired since Caroline hasn't been seen. We also made
comments about how the actor played another character that worked behind a
bar. I guess in Salem what goes around, comes around.

I'm wondering if Theo feels pressured by Claire in doing "it". He didn't seem
happy about it. And is it a of tradition in Salem people "do it" on a couch :)

Kate, Kate, Kate. Are you jealous of Chloe? She did take Daniel from you.

Should we be surprised Holly is sick since Brady left them on a park
bench the other day in the cold? What was Nicole thinking?

Nice to see Eric's face again.

I agree, Kat about Nicole and Holly being out in the cold the other day. Wasn't there at least a car or another motel room Nicole could have kept the baby in while Brady got money? These two are not thinking clearly and endangering that baby's health. No wonder she got sick.

Just love that Brady is choosing to help Nicole even at the cost of his friendship with her.
My biggest problem with this is Brady is neglecting his own son in order to help Nicole. If Brady ends up going to jail along with Nicole for assisting her in the kidnapping, Tate will be left without both of his parents now that Theresa is gone. Besides, Tate has been left in the Kiriakis mansion without protection from Deimos, who is upset with Brady as he is helping Nicole. Brady should have had Marlena take care of Tate while he was gone instead of Maggie, because Maggie or Victor at this time would not be any protection for Tate if Deimos enacted any sort of revenge.

I was also annoyed at Brady intimidating Dr. Lee into helping them. Brady was supposed to convince Nicole to come back to town and turn herself in. That was what he told Rafe and even Dr. Lee last week when he was trying to get him to tell him about his phone call with Nicole.

Loved seeing Roman at the pub tending bar. I liked him talking with Kate as well. It was a good use of history with Kate comparing her situation when Vivian stole her embryo and carried Philip to Chloe carrying Holly for Daniel and Nicole. The only difference was Chloe did not steal the embryo, she was carrying the baby with the intention to give it to Nicole, until Deimos came into the picture.

Chloe seems to use any excuse to keep Holly. She refers to "MY baby" from the start, then there was the nursing bit, and even 1st time in public restaurant. Something is off with Chloe, and I have a hunch it stems back to when she came to Salem last time, intending to get Daniel back for herself. This time, she has carried Daniel's child, and doesn't want to give her up, using any convenient excuse. Nicole broke it off with Deimos, Chloe became more determined.

As to Brady....Isn't Tate another case of an embryo being stolen, implanted in another woman, who did not want to give it up? Went to great lengths, didn't she?

Holly legally belongs to Chloe right now so she has every right to refer to her as "my baby". I'd like to know what exactly Nicole and Brady's intentions are? Run forever? That's not a life for Holly. They should have focused their energies on appealing the court decision instead. Now they really don't stand a chance.

It was nice to hear the use of history when Kate told Eduardo about when Vivian stole her embryo and carried Philip.

I was pleasantly surprised they played this beat. My only thought is Ryan Quan must have been responsible since it actually made sense. Nonetheless, I still don't have any sympathy for Kate.

I completely agree Jen. Tate should be with John and Marlena with Claire and Paul helping out. And Brady is an idiot if he thinks this will end well for any of them. Nicole and likely him will be arrested now and Chloe will get permanent custody of Holly. The only other solution I see here is to make Eric Holly's dad and give him full custody. Then he will be more likely to share her with Nicole out of guilt. This entire storyline is beyond stupid.

As for Claire, I think the lights on the curtains were a homage to a movie but I don't know which one. She mentioned it when Theo came in. Theo is definitely not ready for sex nor is Claire. I like that Claire is self aware even though she is acting like a spoiled brat. I really hate that both Julie and Hope have basically sided with Ciara in this. That's not realistic. They should both be torn about the potential this has to hurt Claire. Another really poorly set up story. They should have kept Shawn in Salem and had him and Belle in the middle of the 2 girls while Hope was in jail. They could have even taken sides. But this one sided stuff where Hope and Julie are only on Ciara's side is ridiculous. This would have been a great opportunity to show Hope in solo scenes with Claire too. I do t mind Claire and Marlena but in this case, Grandma Hope makes more sense.

I liked that they addressed pregnancy and protection too.

So Ciara's letter basically just reiterated that she has something to tell Theo but didn't actually tell him how she felt.

I was shocked when Dr. Lee called Eddie. I didn't see that coming.

I still enjoy seeing Kate and Roman together and am sad the show never gave them a 2nd chance. He is the only guy I can tolerate her with. And I wish the show would stop acting like Kate and Eduardo were some epic love story. They were not.

As usual, I loved everything with Eric. I'm convinced Ryan Quan is responsible for his writing because it's unlike anything else on the show right now.

I think the Kiriakis clan will somehow be able to stop Nicole (and certainly Brady) from being imprisoned and get her custody back. Victor may not like Nicole, but he hates Chloe more than anyone.

Vic blames Chloe for Brady's descent into drugs in Europe....Vic finally stepped in and kidnapped him to get him into rehab..........and when Chloe returned to Salem, she did not mention the break in at their apt, the broken stuff, debris, etc. She had no idea he was in rehab, but only said he was gone. Vic has never forgiven her.

Instead of Teen Ciara turning green around the gills at the sight of Claire and Theo, it might have made for a better scene if Theo's fumbling attempts to buy condoms at the local drug store had been interrupted by Abe. ("Hi, son, what are you buying today?) As it is, Teen Ciara is going to have to consult with Harold about the best way of decontaminating a love couch.

Salemites who fear that the end of the world is close had better take cover. Not only did the Salem Sourpuss smile, he also shaved, and got a kiss. This certainly means that the end is nigh.

Finally, even though it's only March, Brady should officially be awarded Salem's dolt-of-the-year award for 2017 for leaving Tater Tot and running off with Nicole to live the stressful life of a fugitive. He's probably counting on Kiriakis luck in which no matter what stupid thing a man in the family does, all is well in the end.
