I just really can't get interested in any of the teens right now. Don't care a thing about Joey, Jade, Claire or Tripp. We know Ciara is leaving so her relationship with Wyatt doesn't mean much. Theo is ok but he doesn't have much of a story going on. If we are supposed to be invested in the teens the writers sure need to do better with the storylines and have them interact with their families and get out of the apartment once in a while.:rolleyes:

Claire annoys the heck out of me whenever she is on, who decided to make John/Marlena and Bo/Hope's granddaughter, and Shawn/Belle's daughter so annoying? She's actually Sami Jr.

I liked the first Jade, but this Jade is so pointless, she can leave anytime.

I started to enjoy Tripp when he first came on, but I don't like the way he has turned on Steve so quickly.

Joey was ruined when he killed Ava last year, just like Hope was ruined when she killed Stefano. It's only a matter of time before Tripp finds out that Joey was the one who murdered her.

Ciara is leaving so no point in investing in her storyline.

Theo is alright, except he needs a better girlfriend than Claire.

I think it's a law that no SORAS'd teen can be a nice, well-adjusted individual. They have to be self-absorbed brats.

Theo appears to be in violation of that law (now; not when he was trying to be "super spy" about Valerie's past).

Claire is a spoiled brat! I hope that TPTB recast Ciara. Hope needs family! I wonder if they are planning on replacing Joey? Steve & Kayla should have both of their children in town. Theo has been manipulated by the evil incarnate of Sami (Claire).

I really can't get on board with any of the teens either. Tripp has some potential and maybe the fact that he has come on the scene so close to the start of the new writing team will save his character in the end. I like Theo best but even he is tarnished by the bratty Claire - who needs a good spanking if you ask me. Jade doesn't bother me as much as Claire, Joey and this Wyatt creep. And Ciara is a drag. I hope they do recast her because she really is a core character.

Ahh, the teens. While I do understand the teen years are difficult, as teens try to figure out where they fit in this world they were born into, it seems all of Salem teens are coming from horribly abusive foster care, where they have problems making connections with others and bonding issues.

It is so very odd, since for the most part, we saw these darlings growing up. They are being written as all the "bad" kids in every after school special ever aired. And it is not enjoyable.

Let's see. Claire's parents sailed the oceans with her for a couple years, before finally settling down in Maine, where both finished their education. Assume that Claire was home schooled on the high seas, but went to regular school once the family stayed on land.

Theo, raised in Salem by loving parents, tho he lost his mother when quite young

Ciara also raised in Salem, but about the same time Theo lost his mother, her dad quit his job, left town to go "find himself". Mid-life crisis, I guess. He did run into a couple adventures, eventually being taken hostage and held against his will.

Joey was raised in Salem until his parents went to Africa to do medical charity work, but Steve got bored and also had to go seeking adventures. Joey ran away from boarding school, Steve brought him back to Kayla in Salem, and decided to finally stay with his family.

Tripp was adopted, with a loving mother who died when he was quite young. His dad became an alcoholic, knocked him around, he left home, went on his own.

Jade has an abusive father, felt very mistreated, seemed streetwise, and big TROUBLE when she first met Joey. She now claims her mother wants nothing to do with her, although we heard when her mother called her, wanting to help, give her money, etc. and she refused.

Wyatt is a mystery.....obviously is being paid to date Ciara, but no idea if he is basically....a louse or maybe not so bad.

They actually do this with Steve, Kayla, Joey and now Tripp but it's the opposite effect. Too isolated. Steve and Kayla have no other story. Why no scenes with Joey and JJ? Or Joey and Abby or Joey and Adrienne? Why can't we see Tripp meet Adrienne?

Claire is a brat but a self-aware, insecure brat who is still redeemable. I cannot emphasize enough how big of a mistake it was to let Shawn and Belle go. They should have been in the middle of the Claire and Ciara stuff. Plenty of story for a detective and a lawyer whose parents are in Salem as well.

I like Theo. We see glimpses of him with Abe and Lani but even they are barely even on. I enjoy him with Chad too.

I hope Ron reverses the Tripp is Steve and Ava's kid stuff right after he reverses David Banning's death.

I think Joey should be on recurring right after its revealed that Ava isn't dead.

New teens are needed to fill in gaps but I'd also like them to be connected. Perhaps Valerie could have a teen daughter, Rafe could have a long lost kid with Emily, etc
