Good Morning,

Wow, I feel blessed to start this thread 2 days in a row.

It's still raining, but I'm back at work. I guess huge storms blew through the area overnight, but I didn't hear the thunder or hail. I must have been really tired to miss all that.

Hope you all have a fabulous day!

Hi all.......busy day for me, my daughters will be here today......3 trips to town this week, got a med I just do not want to take, as in order to take it, I have to stay away from all kinds of foods, and even my other meds are a problem, so the time spacing then becomes a problem as well.

Raining here, rained all night, will be doing so off and off all day. My girls who live in southern climes are not going to be happy with the 39° it is right now. LOL

Talk later.

Noel, I've been wondering why the power company, which is a for-profit business, has been sending me literature designed to shame me into using less electricity. I do have a hunch why.   I think that the stockholders should see to it that company managers are "made available, so that they can pursue other opportunities."

I think you are absolutely right AGuy!

Poirot: good move.

JS:

This is soooo weird!! I'm seeing little "marks" that at first I thought were bugs or dirt on my screen. Nope. They're actually on the Spectator.

There are two in the space between post #2 (JS) and post #3 (Noel).
Then two more in the space between post #7 (A Guy) and post #8 (JS).

Just adding to say that there is now one of those marks in the space where the thread date and title are. Weird, weird, weird.

Sorry RS but I don't see them. Wonder what they are? Moderators?

The easiest one to spot is in the space between the post "squares" above the A in Another in your post #3, Noel.

Two are in the space above JS's post #8 and below A. Guy's post #7. One mark is above the M in My, and the other is above the e in office (the first sentence of JS' post.)

Very strange. I see them when looking at Donuts on my work laptop, my cell phone, and my Kindle Fire. They're still there even when I refresh or leave the Spectator altogether. I don't see them on any other Spectators forum or thread.

Good afternoon everyone,

Beautiful day today--74F, a bit breezy, a few clouds in the air. It drizzled just a tad yesterday but nothing of consequence.

It's a good thing I didn't start the thread this morning---in the spirit of the date, I would've put "JJ's Special Donuts & Caffeine":rotfl:

Got a ton of work to do tonight after school, and tomorrow. But I'm feeling really good at the same time, as the end is near!!

Hope all of you have a nice day.

Squirrel, our power company's conservation notices compare my usage with the neighbors'. I do run the AC during the summer, but it's not set at unusually low temps. Then they want to do a home inspection to determine if new windows and/or insulation would be helpful. I think the insulation would be done by folks that I would rather not have in the house. Wait! I forgot, there is a second refrigerator.

There is a coal-fired power plant in the area that had been scheduled to close; may not happen now. Either way, I hope they leave the stacks, as they are excellent landmarks. :)

Good afternoon all.

Short post today.

Knee surgery went well. It lasted 20 minutes. I think it took longer to put in the IV, than the surgery.

Very drowsy as the IV provided medication wasn't working, so the oxycodone oral was started in recovery room. I'm going to nap now, and most of the day it appears.

Just wanted to check in.

The rain hasn't arrived yet. It's supposed to start now later tonight. Rain
and cooler temperatures Fri and Sat.

My newest neighbor is lucky it hasn't started yet. He bought a mower
yesterday and he had to put it together. He mowed part of the yard last
night. He just finished mowing now. They moved in early April and first
time they mowed. It took him a long time since it was thick.

rs, I'm glad your basement stayed dry. The new pump must be working great.

robin, I didn't realize your knee surgery was today. I'm glad it went well.

Poirot, enjoy your visit with your daughters.

Noel, try to stay cool this weekend. Maybe you can live in robin's office
to save money on the A/C :)

I hope everyone has a good rest of the day.

Red: wonderful 15 days to countdown with you!:)

Robin: oxycodon may keep you snoozing for a long while. Happy the procedure went smoothly and you are now pain free. Sure hope you are not too cold in recovery.

Kat: As soon as Robin is feeling better I will volunteer to live in her freezing office. Enjoy your evening.
