Could EJ be behind not only Will being with Susan, but also the happenings at Dimera? Maybe he had will revived and when Will’s memory was gone realized he had a problem and asked Susan to care for him? Also with Sami hooking up with Rafe, enter EJ again? If I recall, there was an actor they thought may be replacing James Scott in January. Just some thoughts.
 
I doubt it. There have been no plans to bring EJ back to life.

Ron Carlivati said Tyler Christopher will be playing a new character.

Also, the preview that was posted in the November preview thread shows that Susan is really Kristen in disguise. Plus, EJ wouldn't have kept all of this a secret from Sami. Nor would he have kept himself hidden from her during her two year scavenger hunt all around the world.
 
You're right, it doesn't specifically show that. But the inference is that Kristen is pretending to be Susan because she's shown in Will's Memphis bedroom, cackling evilly.

Then again, maybe it's just someone's dream or nightmare.

Good point. Would Abigail forget wedding bliss with Chad and start dreaming of her hot times with EJ at the Horton cabin and the athletic club shower? Would thoughts of erotic sensations with EJ rekindle thoughts of what might have been with Austin Reed, and Dr. Cameron "Officer Billy Club" Davis? Would Andre rush to Abigail's side to try to protect DiMera domestic tranquility from EJ's lust. In another attempt to sabotage Chad-Abigail, would Kate start making suggestive remarks to the former Ms. Perfect about EJ's vaunted "luv" powers? If Sami is still around, would she charge into the DiMansion and start screeching about how Abigail better keep her grubby paws off her "changed" EJ? Would Jenny sternly warn Abigail to keep to the straight-and-narrow and rant at EJ about staying away from her daughter? Best of all, let's keep all of this as idle speculation by keeping EJ out of Salem and off viewers' screens.

I'm right there with you, along with the MANY EJ fans. With Sami eventually leaving, I would love to see her send off by reuniting with EJ. I personally think James Scott (EJ) would return for a short stint to make this happen. Anything is possible at this point. I'll always believe he's alive, until it's proven otherwise.
