Aww, come on. Really, Phoenix?? 89 degrees is the temperature forecast for today? But it could go higher.. While I'm not a fan of anything below 60, I would enjoy our normal temps of high 70's now. Not the low 90's.

Have the "long" commute today. The entire 7 steps to the desk. School districts had a long weekend for Veterans Day so I'm sure there will be some amazing questions.

I'll make sure the windows are closed in a couple of hours and the A/C filter is clean.

Off to another week. 7 weeks left in the year, before 2018 hits us.

Good morning all.

Windy night and all day today. Winds are 30 to 40 mph with gusts to 60 mph. My yard will need some clean up. My garbage can is tipped over but at least it is still in my yard. I see debris on the front porch, but will have to wait until daylight to further assess what all has gone on.

Happy Monday!!

Morning all. Have a very long to-get-done list today. Another construction guy coming, this time to fix leaking plumbing and maybe install the additional motor for the shower fans.

We still have all the plumbing for the shower to get installed and the glass door to be put back on. Then I will get the guest bath painted. Does it ever end?

Then I am done till spring, except cleaning, of course.

The garden center is opens today for the holidays with all their fun stuff. May pop over there to see what is new.

Enjoy the day, all.

Another cloudy day here. It's supposed to get close to 60, but that won't
matter w/out sun out.

The first part of this week will be a busy one for me. So I may not pop in
like I usually do. Today, I'm having lunch with some of the Bible ladies
that have been coming to my house. Lunch will be late for me and it will
be at someone else's house.

Time to get to my Monday cleaning.

I hope everyone has the best day that they can.

Morning Everyone,

High temps in the 30's today. It was super cold Saturday, complete with snow showers most of the day. But we had a slight warm up on Sunday, which was enough to melt the snow, at least for now. The snow sure made the roads slippery for trying to get errands done though.

I've successfully purchased an almost 24 lb turkey for Thanksgiving, which is sitting all happy thawing in my basement refrigerator, the one that I store the extra gallon on milk in and hubby's giant jars of pickled stuff (eggs, cucumbers, asparagus, jalapenos, etc). I kid you not, we have a 3 gallon bucket of pickles, a gallon size jar of eggs and jalapenos, and a half gallon jar of pickled asparagus.

He finally finished the dilly beans. I told him to start clearing that stuff out so I can make room for all the stuff for Thanksgiving to be upstairs and move the stuff like ketchup, mustard, etc to the basement for a couple days.

Robin - hope work is peaceful today. I hope your weather mellows soon.

Lil0 - those winds sound messy and dangerous. I hope things improve for you soon.

TB - good luck with the construction projects.

kat - enjoy your lunch

JS - :rotfl:, sorry I can't help but laugh thinking of the Caroline Brady Pub Vest Collection.

Happy Monday!

JS - I used to love vests, had about 6, in all different prints and fabrics from flannel to suede. Most I've donated to St Vincent De Paul, which is a local thrift store that raises money for local Catholic charities. I kept one pink polar fleece vest that was a gift from my Grandma. I haven't worn it in years (mostly because it's too small, which is also the reason I donated the others), but when I see it I think of my Gram, so it stays in my closet.

Good Monday --

As Robin mentioned, it is freaking hot here again today. The next 10 days we are expecting 86-88F even on Thanksgiving Day. What the season?!?!?!?!

I should be getting ready to take down autumn/Thanksgiving decorations and begin the long process of decorating each room of the house. Then the outside and then the tree. With shorts, tees and flip flops I just cannot get in the mood. Oh, well, maybe turkey meal next Thursday will inspire me.

Robin: we must have the cleanest A/C filters in the USA. Who the heck else is still cleaning/replacing them this time of year?! Try not to sweat too much at work and I'll do the same at home.

Lil0: thanks for the wish for cooler weather here to replace extreme heat. Sure hope your weather stays even and you can enjoy autumn days.

TB: amidst renovations, a trip to the Christmas big box stores would be a fun treat. It should lift your spirits and relax your soul. Enjoy!

Kat: enjoy your lunch with the bible study ladies. Your day must be very busy if you miss time here. Sure hope it is a fun day.

JS: please keep on researching how to ship me cold, wet, preferable snow!, weather. Hugs for the effort!

Manda: late autumn snow - perfect! Well, driving isn't much fun but the view is gorgeous when that happens. Good luck with a husband completing a refrigerator cleaning if he is anything like my own. But then, Thanksgiving turkey is a good motivator for most of the guys.

Wishing everyone vest weather. Layering clothes is another thing I miss, it is fun, chic and warm in cold weather. Make it the best Monday you can today!

Hello everyone. I've been isolating lately. I get like that sometimes. Such is life for me.

The landlords had decided not to sell all this property, but now have some nibbles. They closed the fabric store next door and there apparently isn't enough money coming in. I can't blame them for wanting to retire, though it's going to be hard for me to find something else suitable if I'm given short notice. I have pets, like living outside the city limits, etc. I pray things will work out for all of us.

I had to order new external speakers for my computer. The old ones finally bit the dust. They were shipped on the day I ordered them (7th) and should have been here Friday, but the FedEx driver couldn't find my house. I figured the driver was new or on a new route, because I've had this problem before. I had to call FedEx and give directions to my house and a phone number. The driver still had to call today to find the right place, even with the detailed directions I gave, lol. I'll admit, I don't even understand the illogical, totally out of sequence numbering on the houses in the this area and I live here.

Take care.

KT: sometimes sheltering for a few days is relaxing, restorative and energizing. I hope your "isolating" is doing just that for your soul & body. Prayers ahead of time for a possible move for you and the best situation for your landlords. Now in rural Indiana we used to have to give very detailed instructions on finding our farm houses because they were off dirt/gravel tiny roads in the middle of nowhere. I often wonder now how UPS/Fedex find some of them! Glad your part finally arrived and hope your day is a good one.

Good afternoon everyone!

My temperatures are between manda/JS's and robin/Noel at a solid 50 degrees. I'm glad I can finally wear my boots.

I I had lunch at Chik Fil A with my mom, sister-in-law and niece then I walked over to Big Lots to look at Christmas decorations and came out with a Christmas tree. It's a 7 foot, pre-lit tree with faux snow and was only $105. Every other place we've looked at trees they've been $300+. We were going to borrow a tree from his parents but we would have had to buy lights for it. I sent him a picture of it and we agreed it was what we had been looking for. Tonight we're going to go back and look at decorations. I'm excited for our first Christmas in our own place.

JS, I've gotten to where I don't like a heavy coat unless I'm going to be outside for a long period of time. I prefer layering and lightweight jackets. Especially when I'm out shopping/running errands. I sweat terribly. One of the fun things I inherited from my dad. My poor niece is like it too.

Kt, hope you find answers about your living arrangements.

Lil0, hope you don't get blown away with that crazy wind.

Hope everyone has a wonderful afternoon!

Cold, rainy and very windy day here. Yesterday was sunny and 50 so we took a long walk. Today not so nice. I'm hoping for warmer weather tomorrow as were going to see Garth Brooks and I don't want to have to stand outside in this weather to go through security.

Have a great day.

kt, thanks for checking in. If your landlord sells their place, maybe they put will something
to let you stay as long as you need to.

Noel, tomorrow is the busiest day. School library, lunch at my friend's church
(she won't be there, but I know a lot of people who will be). Tomorrow evening
back at that church for circle meeting. Sorry to hear it's still warm there. I've
been playing Christmas music for over a week now.

shan, I hope you have nice weather tomorrow.

And good for the soul! I've been doing a lot of Bible studying, something I enjoy.

Wow, that's an expensive tree for my area. I can buy a live tree, to be planted later, for a lot less than that. That does depend on whether or not you have somewhere to plant a tree.

Kt, I can't have a live tree because I live in an apartment. It's a fire hazard. Plus I think live trees here are just as expensive as the artificial one I bought. And at least mine is reusable. We looked at a similar tree at Lowes last night and it was $298. I definitely would not have bought that.

Also, can we trade cost-of-living because mine is nuts :rotfl:

Red: great bargain on your tree! I have reluctantly paid more than that for a 5ft artificial tree. Here, live trees seldom live a week even if standing in a bath tub of water. Enjoy ornament shopping tonight and be sure to pick one special ornament together to remember 2017.

Shan: going to a Garth Brooks concert is such great fun so hope your weather tomorrow is clear and dry. Then I hope he sings your favorite song. Enjoy!

Kat: how great the weather inspires listening to Christmas music now. Hope your busy day tomorrow is wonderful!

Just so you know KT, in every state I have lived in, if you have signed a lease and the current owner sells, the new owners would be required to honor that lease until it ends, though do not have to renew unless they choose to do so.

Also, if you are currently on a lease and you have good relationship with landlord, they should let you get out of your lease when the owners say they are selling if you would rather make the move than deal with new landlord. The sale will not be immediate so thirty days notice would be appropriate.

Also in my current state (not sure about others), if you are on a month to month lease, you are only required to give (plus landlord is only required to give) seven days notice for move out so be wary about not having a year/multiple year lease signed when ownership is transferred.

Or if you would like to stay and move at a more opportune time, you could ask current landlord to let you sign a one or more year lease.

If rental laws are similar and you are on month to month, you could plan to move, get everything set (new place, move date, pack & move, transfer bills & mail, etc) and give seven days notice after you are out to just use those seven days to have the home cleaned and walk through done.

I would suggest checking the rental laws of your state to see if laws are similar in your state. When you decide when you would prefer to move, use Zillow.com to keep an eye on currently available properties when you plan to make your move. Zillow has great search options to simplify your search and is very easy to navigate.

I know all this because I have moved a ton. My old attorney was also my landlord and we still keep in touch so please feel free to ask any questions and I will ask him what I do not know.

Hope this helps!

Great day and good night to everyone!
