Confrontations everywhere, as some Salemites face truths. Sami is angry at Belle for returning the stolen DiMera money she gave her. They get into a rip roaring argument, as Belle reminds Sami the money was stolen, while Sami claims it belonged to EJ, and the DiMeras had hurt everyone in Sami’s family. Belle isn’t buying it, brings up what Sami did to Will, and Sami again is making her excuses, she loves her son, wanted to help him, hired professionals to make sure it all did not go too far, blah, blah. Belle doesn’t buy that either, but Sami asks what was she supposed to do. Belle says to let MOM handle it, a trained psychiatrist…..but Sami protests all Mom says is to be patient. She cannot let Will have his memory loss forever. Belle knows Sami loves her kids, but, says she did not do it for Will, but for herself. Sami gets even madder, but Belle brings up things Sami has done all her life, that were what SHE wanted, not anyone else. Sold a baby on the black market, tried to convince Will that Austin was his father, pretended to be Stan, plus a couple more. Sami is furious, that is enough, opens the door, Belle says …so…you are throwing me out? She grabs her things, leaves.

Hope is in the park, going on and on about really loving Rafe, he keeps trying to tell her something, she won’t let him. The past is the past, she doesn’t care about it, after losing Bo, then what Aiden did, she realized she was afraid of losing Rafe, loves him dearly. She had already asked him where he was last night, why he did not answer her calls, but answers herself, that after their argument, he just did not want to talk. She talks about being afraid to set the wedding date, he again tries to tell her about Sami, but she knows they are good friends, have been thru a lot together. He talks of their history, then of his own, his great mom, his dad who left them, figures Hope deserves a better man than he is, deserves to be happy. Oh, she is having none of that, Rafe is the man for her, they talk a bit about the commissioner job, Theo being shot, and in the end, she is just wanting to be with him, marry him. She goes down on one knee, would consider it an honor to be his wife, would he marry her. Of course, kisses, happy, she is saying let’s set a date, he doesn’t care, they can marry, or not marry, just so they are together.

Eric is at the Pub, getting out some old Christmas decorations, ones both he & Sami made as kids. Sami’s is a Christmas devil, she always made trouble didn’t she? This leads to Roman telling Eric of Sami’s latest, what she did to Will. Eric is appalled, both men now afraid of what she might do next. Roman convinces a reluctant Eric to go talk to Sami, he & Marlena have tried, maybe her twin brother can do the trick.

Replay of the towel clad Paul opening the door to the staring Will. What are you doing here. Will has a few questions about when they slept together. Paul is taken aback, come in, I’ll get some clothes on. What’s the rush, says Will. (The actor is back to smirking a bit during these scenes, which makes them lose some of their impact, in my opinion). Paul goes to get dressed, Will is sorry for staring, etc. When Paul returns, Will is asking questions about being married to Sonny, the supposedly very happy marriage, so why did he cheat. How did he & Paul meet, get together etc. Paul eventually gets it out about reporter Will wanting a story, not telling he was married, etc. Will actually asks how was it, the sex. Paul says fine. Or good.

He is surprised and a bit put off by Will’s questions. Will thinks he is a good guy, has not lied to him, but Paul admits he did lie once, to Sonny, about Will. When Will asks how long, and learns just a day, he doesn’t think it was all that bad. Paul talks of him & Sonny being engaged, in love, etc. But Will says he doesn’t really remember anything, only what people can tell him. He says he doesn’t care for that Will Horton, lots of baggage, things that don’t seem right. He doesn’t remember any of it, is not that person now, says Paul seems really nice.

Chad comes into a room where Sonny is lost in thought. Chad mentions wanting to know what the low bid was on something, Sonny doesn’t seem to hear him. He snaps out of it, he & Chad have a conversation about Will, Paul, and all that is going on. Chad more or less asks questions, Sonny admitting he & Paul are in a holding pattern, that though he meant every word of those vows, something changed when Ben said Will was alive. Chad reminds him they were separated at the time, but Sonny doesn’t care about that. He talks of perhaps getting another chance, Chad says Will doesn’t remember anything, what if he doesn’t want that. He makes Sonny realize he cannot keep Paul dangling forever. Not fair to him.

Belle arrives at DiMansion, Chad glad to see her. She mentions having a little set to with her sister, Chad is glad she is back, needs her help. Seems someone is trying to undermine the DiMera Corp. and he wants her to find out who it is.

An angry Sami starts trashing her room, sweeping things off the dresser, pulling blanket off the bed, grabs a pillow, screams into it, throws it, tosses the other pillow, still sobbing, pulls the bedding off the bed. Later, a soft knock at the door. Sami is sitting on the floor, side of the bed. Ignores it. Eric comes in, looks around at the debris. Sami doesn’t even turn her head to see who it is. He spots her, goes over, sits down on the floor beside her, arms around her, she sobs on his shoulder as he strokes her hair.

Will thanks Paul, says it is time for him to go. He opens the door, suddenly, shuts it behind him, kisses a startled Paul. Outside the door, Sonny arrives, is about to knock, but seems to hear something that makes his appear to be trying to listen.

As Sonny opted for a man who might not want him, Will planted a big wet one on Paul, and Hope regained Rafe (at least for the moment), it was the Belle and Sami show at the Salem Inn (pity the guests in nearby rooms.)

:clap:Belle: She wins a big gold star for telling Sami some inconvenient truths, such as that she has a lot in common with batty Susan Banks and with the worst of the DiMeras, even Stefano and Andre.

:eek::eek: Sami: The afterglow of her tryst with Rafe certainly didn't last long as she angrily ripped into Belle and then tore her Salem Inn room apart. (Pity the poor maid who has to clean the place up.) As usual, she got off more than a few absurd statements.
  • Ripping into Belle for returning stolen money. Apparently, in Sami's world doing the right thing is a major no no.
  • Dumping all over the DiMeras after recently bragging that she was a member of the family.
  • Claiming that she had a right to have Ben strangle Will. This is a novel take on parental responsibility.
  • She hired professionals to supervise Will's strangling. Really? Those guys looked like they came straight from Salem Rent-a-Thug.

Sami keeps saying that about those professionals.......they were in another room, and Will could have been deader than a stepped upon ant before they would have gotten into the room. Same for Sami & her gun. She hides in a closet, peeking out, watching her son struggle for air. Ben could have snapped Will's neck before she could swing that door open and fire.

Thanks, Poirot.

A lot of interesting stuff on today's show.

Rafe had his chance to tell Hope what happened with Sami when she said told

him she understand he and Sami were good friends. He could have added with benefits.

I loved what Belle told Sami, especially the part that Sami Brady only cares
about Sami Brady.

I feel sorry for the hotel maid that has to clean Sami's room.

I laughed when Chad you can't change history to Sonny. A lot of history
has been changed over the years in Salem.

Darn, it got interrupted here, and the NBC app has yesterday's.

I got a few minutes, then interrupted for about 30 but doesn't seem like I missed much. I liked that Belle was strong and told off Sami.

Ugh Hope!! I agree about not letting the other person speak when they say I have to tell you something. This can't end well. At least I hope not because I do not like them as a couple. Please be over!!

Not sure why Sonny looked so confused at the door. Did he hear lips smacking?

What was even odder was he just did not get to the door and knock. Why would he even stop to perhaps listen. Of course, Days loves red herrings, so when next we see that scene, he probably will just knock, lol.

I loved Belle calling Sami out on her misdeeds including her marrying a Dimera. When's the last time a member of Sami's family has done that? They used to prop EJ left and right. Now that being said, I still don't understand what Sami was angry about. She can't be that angry over the money. Is she just lashing out at Belle because of what Will said to her? The set up was weird. And please DO NOT put Sami in solo scenes like that again. They don't work.

I liked Eric coming in at the end but wish he had come while Belle was still there. Is it so hard to get a scene with more than 2 siblings?

Hope/Rafe: Definitely soapy and I agree that the trope of not letting the other person speak will come back to bite Rafe later on. I thought they had good writing for those scenes but I still don't care about them as a couple. It actually would have been better had Sami flashed back to the night before when they cut to her in the hotel room crying. That would have added another layer to this. I guess pregnancy is still an option.

Will and Paul were cute. Lol at the awkwardness with Paul being shirtless.

Chad and Sonny were forgettable. I don't even remember what they talked about.

I had forgotten about Chad and Belle's friendship/working relationship but I wish he'd leave her out of this mess. Where is Shawn?

So, is that whole pub scene going to herald the coming of a Very Special Brady Christmas Ornament Hanging Session, much like the Very Special Horton Christmas Ornament Hanging Sessions of years past?

It would actually be nice if the Brady family did something similar with personalized ornaments.

Back in the 80's, Roman made tree a decoration with stars and their names on them.

The pictures aren't very clear, but you get the idea.

Loved Belle calling out Sami. Such great scenes.

Will's awkwardness and curiosity is being played well. Chandler Massey (Will) is knocking it out of the park in his range of emotions. I had tears with him and Lucas, as well as when he was screaming at Sami, the other day.

I also like the idea of Will and Paul. I still wouldn't mind if either one ended up with Sonny, but Sonny's acted like a jerk lately. He probably needs time alone to sort things out.

Hope & Rafe= :sick::sick:

I can't understand why on Earth these writers keep thinking that Sami's tantrums are in any way entertaining. I'm ready for her to leave. I loved how Belle told her off. And kudos to the writers for bringing Chad and Belle's friendship back to the forefront.
