It's no secret I can't stand the Rafe and Hope pairing. When Hope got all ticked off at Rafe for going to try and help with the Will situation, she came off as petty. It's not like Rafe got a private plane for himself and Sami. He was one of several people who went. Will was his stepson. Rafe knows that whether or not she deserves it, her family is less than supportive of her. They have been downright dismissive of the fact that Sami has had to go through the death and not-so-dead-after-all of both of her parents.

Hope was being petty and then admitting she was jealous made me crack up hard. She should be glad Rafe was there helping with her great nephew/cousin.

Probably not. So Hope could have punished him for that but she wanted him on the Theo case. So she didn't. But it was delicious to see her green with envy for once instead of being put on a pedestal.

In Salem, good deeds rarely go unpunished. Hope should be pleased that Rafe would help out in a situation like the reported resurrection of Will. Instead, she acted in the same irrational, petty way that's so typical of Salem's largely unbearable teen set.
Did Rafe have permission to go out of town, or did he just take off?
He almost surely just took off. It's standard procedure in the Salem P.D. for officers to take care of personal business while on duty. At least Rafe wasn't committing any major felonies here the way that Hope's beloved Bo so often did. Bo might just have gotten into Susan's house by picking the lock and then tied her to a chair until she fessed up about Will.

Oh and I've got to "Ha Ha Hope" again. I am so glad that it was Rafe who figured out that him not being Bo was a huge issue in Hope's reluctance to getting married. I am even more glad that it was him who clearly broke off the engagement. So when it comes out that he and Sami spent the night together, there will be no way Hope can claim he cheated.

I thought Hope realized that what she actually fears is losing her love again. Bo died, Aiden died......she said she could not handle it if anything happened to Rafe.

(And yes, I know when they had their argument she did make the statement about him not being Bo. )

Hope always seems so dull & dreary as of late. I did not like her as commissioner. She was so serious all the time and I don't even recall her smiling at all when she had the position. I use to love Bo & Hope together, but don't care for her now.

Her newest revelation makes no sense. As long as they are together she could lose him whether they are married or not. The fact remains that Rafe figured out that since it was about not being Bo and she admitted it, that was enough for Rafe to end it.

Many years ago, during one of their many separations. Hope and Alice were talking about Bo and Hope's current problems. Hope told her grandmother that she knew she could never trust Bo again. Yet, she kept taking him back. This may come back to bite Rafe in the butt even though he didn't technically cheat on her. Although not as much as Bo, Rafe has a history of cheating on his current squeeze, and bedded his ex-wife while his zipper was still warm. I think the roll in the hay with Sami was written solely to cause angst with Rafe and Hope. Hope let her guard down when she fell in love with Aiden. When she finds out what Rafe did, she may not want him. Then, again, she does love cheating men. :)

Trying to remember when Rafe has cheated. Did he boink Kate while he was with Jordan? I can't remember since Jordan was so insignificant. But he most certainly did not cheat on Hope when he spent the night with Sami.

I didn't say Rafe cheated on Hope, but I feel she will see it that way. Rafe cheated on Jordan with Kate, and on Sami (in the Biblical sense of "adultery in the heart") with Carrie.

He had that "thing" with Carrie while they were working together, although they never had sex.

Hmm. Were Rafe and Jordan on the outs or broken up when he nailed Kate? I will agree that Rafe did have an emotional affair with Carrie. Weren't they about to get it on at the cabin that they were supposed to have been blown up in. Did Austin show up at the last moment putting the brakes on them.

Yes, they were going to have sex in the safehouse, but stopped for some reason (can't remember why; I think someone called upstairs to them). Austin wasn't there, though. It was just John, Marlena, Bo, Hope, Rafe and Carrie.
