Sunny2188 is coming down in January and we were talking about meeting at KK in Palm Harbor. I have already talked to kpatch and she is in. It will be a weekend. Hope you could join us. I live by Buckhorn Elementary at Miller and Durant. So not that far away. Love the Strawberry Festival. Had a friend that is now deceased that lived off of 92. I think someday I will live in Plant City too. Just a feeling. Love reading your posts.:smile:

I have been so busy talking to you about other things. I forgot to add. Congrats on your engagement. What a nice way to start the new year.

We had 12 babies on New Years Eve. We average about 8 to 10 births a day. It was fun working, but we did not get the first baby of the new year. St. Marys had one a 01:15. We had our first at 13:15. So sad the hospital with the first baby gets 5000 to buy needed equipement for the unit. Oh well maybe next year.
As for seeing the ball go down I was in my car on the way home as that happened. I listened to the countdown on the radio. We had chinesse food on New Years Eve.
I really don't know about in the States, but here in Quebec you have two ways of becoming a nurse. One is a 3 year program at CECP (a college between high school and university.) Or you can take two years at CECP and they 3 years at university. Depends on if you want a university degree, or just a deploma.
People think that working with babies is all fun, but we do have some bad things happen as well.

I had a great Christmas. Boxing Day my Brother had a heart attack, but is doing fine now. Has a follow up appt today so waiting to hear from him. On New Years Eve I was working. We all ordered in supper. Then on New Years Day we all brought in food. That meal was so good. We had lots of babies on New Year's, but St Mary's got the first baby of 2009 at 01:15. Our first was born at 13:15.

I am so happy that everything worked out so well for you. I was hoping that was why you were not on. So happy that your Dad likes his future Son in Law.
