One way to add more drama to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills? Throw in a couple of former soap opera stars.

Just a week after PEOPLE learned that Days of Our Lives alum Lisa Rinna (Billie) will appear in the Bravo series, a source says that Eileen Davidson (Kristen) is now set to join her soap opera star pal next season on the reality show.

The new additions will take the place of former housewives Carlton Gebbia and Joyce Giraud.

While Davidson, 55, and Rinna, 51, might be newbies when it comes to the Housewives franchise, this won't be the first time they've appeared together on television.

Davidson first got her start on the daytime soap Days of Our Lives in 1993 when she starred as the villainous Kristen DiMera alongside Lisa Rinna, who played Billie Reed from 1992 to 1995. Both actresses later returned to reprise their roles on the NBC series.

Bravo has yet to officially confirm whether Davidson is joining the cast.
 
I mean.. I've watched various Real Housewives versions for years because they're super entertaining, but the women on those shows do it because they need exposure, money, etc. But she just won an Emmy and has a new Y&R contract...... why on earth would she need this... :confused:

haha yes, Days, true. Deidre Hall (Marlena) was briefly on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills earlier this year and they showed some behind the scenes stuff of Days of our Lives, so there might be that if Eileen Davidson (Kristen) is doing it..

There is an interview with Eileen Davidson(Kristen) in this week's SOD talking about how her recent stint on Days was very difficult as both her sister and her niece died during that time. They actually had to rewrite some dialogue for her.

Anyway, she also mentioned that she only worked 2 days a week but for as long as they wanted her to work within those 2 days. So, I guess it's possible she could have been working on other shows during that time.
 
Whoaaa wow, I didn't know that. That's incredibly sad. :( Yea who even knows if she would have had the time. That's a lot to deal with.
 
Kirsten Storms (Belle) had a lot of health issues during the filming of Dirty Soap and prior to doing the show had some sort of falling out with Farah Fath (Mimi), which may or may not have been solely for the show. However, Kirsten was barely on the last half of the season, and ended up being hospitalized which led to Jen Lilley (Theresa) taking over her role on General Hospital for awhile.
 
This news was confirmed in the US Weekly I got in the mail today:

"Days of Our Lives alumnae Lisa Rinna, 51, and Eileen Davidson, 55, have joined the cast of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, sources confirm."

I really may try to watch now...
 
Eileen Davidson (Kristen) just seems genuinely nice. And so does Lisa Rinna (Billie). Everything I've ever seen of Real Housewives (which is just snippets on other shows), those ladies are mean and nasty with each other, so I'm curious to see what happens.
 
I'm gonna tune in more regularly. Seems both ladies are nice, as the above post mentioned. Maybe they can be the "voices of reason" on the show and stop all the fighting.
