Seems Victor was in on it with Kate in her plan to distroy the DiMera family, lock stock and barrel from the start, that fake "you're fired" was bogus...

So now Victor owns some important businesses of Stefano and EJ......seems this storyline is hollow without a hint of interest of Stefano anywhere anytime soon,..and not a peep about what Kate did with Victor....nope we will not see or hear from Stefano.

So Victor will start a war and Stefano, thanks to poor writing, will be out of the picture. I think by now, either find away to have the audience at least think Stefano is remotely interested in his family destruction, or all this is moot.

But as for Stefano (the actor Joe Mascolo) what ever the reason. I believe health reasons and he cannot do the role at this time...... that is okay, but it is the way they writing this entire destruction of the DiMeras and you have not heard a peep, a phone call, nothing. It's like Stefano went away and retired.

I said it in another thread you don't have to show Stefano to make us believe he has returned and plotting; a hand with the DiMera ring just hanging up the phone, someone following the women around, hints like that can tell us Stefano is interested.

Right now he is hiding from Salem's finest. Poor unimagitive writing. Back in the day, Stefano was the puppet master and you never saw him do it, but you knew someone was. Where have all the good writers gone??? They are probably with Stefano.
 
As much as some admire Stefano, his day is done. We saw him talking to Kate. No, I don't think Victor was in from the beginning......Kate noted that. Victor admired how she made him angry enough to fire her, and he had no idea what her end game was.
I love she offered him those companies at a pittance, and that Victor is just going to sit back now and watch the fireworks.
As to Stefano......Joe Mascolo has made known quite a bit he wants to retire, and if no mention is made of him, (who would be arrested if stepping foot in Salem) fine! When next, if ever, Stefano shows up, however he might, you can be assured he knows all that has been going on. EJ HAS been shown talking to him, but no, not since Ej was arrested.
 
P.S. I appreciate that this is in Crystal Ball, and understand why you put it here, in case someone comes up with a real spoiler in re: Stefano. However, there is no spoiler so far, and thus should not be in this forum.
 
Stefano certainly isn't the threat he used to be and has been watered down the past few years. However, it was just a year ago he sent Bernardi to cut off Rafe's manhood, so there's that. I do tend to agree with stefeno-rises regarding Stefano's current MIA status in this storyline. No phone calls to Kate or EJ? Threats to Kate and Sami that they will pay for this? It's a little odd. I get that the actor wants limited time in the role but it does seem weird that they have this huge story where he's involved and yet....he's not involved.
 
I posted yesterday that this story loses all credibility for me without Stefano in it. I'd almost rather see a recast as he is pivotal to this storyline and I believe it's eventual resolution. If they can recast Mickey Horton, why not Stefano Dimera?

By that reasoning, every post should be in the Crystal Ball forum just in case, somewhere down the line, someone posts a spoiler. By putting mere speculation threads in the spoiler forum, posters who don't want to be "spoiled" can't participate. That's my only point and no offense was meant, stefeno rises.
 
I think Stefano will come back with a bang to close this story out. It may be the last time, but it will happen. If this show lasts another five years I think we will see the end of most of the older vets. Several are in their 80's (God bless them). Recasting older vets is tough.

GH did it with Edward Quartemain but it just made Anna Lee (Lila Quartermain), who played his wife, look older. Trying to make us believe that a 90 something Alice was baking donuts when she was really getting meals on wheels just isn't realistic. All things must come to an end.:cry:
 
We know by now that Stefano knows all, sees all. I think that he's letting the ladies think they're really getting away with something for now, waiting to drop that other shoe on them. And then, maybe after that, he will just retire to Italy or something.
 
I too think that Stefano is up to something. He would be livid if someone pulled something over him like this. If Joseph Mascolo(Stefano) retires really soon, would like to see a really good closing storyline for him. After Stefano, I think they should have one of his brothers come to town, maybe Andre's father, to continue where Stefano left off as the DiMera Patriarch.
