SPECULATION ONLY, PLEASE!

Things finally seem to be heating up between Aiden and Hope, and I think it's about time; however, as soaps are wont to do, something has to come along to rock their love boat. I think one, or both, spouses will return in the not-too-distant future. The question is: Who will return to Salem first?

I am really torn here, because both Aiden and his little son, Chase, have referred to her as having died. I will grant that we don't know "how".
Wonder if it was something like Julia Roberts in Sleeping With the Enemy. Out for a sailboat ride, falls overboard, presumed dead, but is not. In the movie, Julia was escaping from a controlling, nasty husband.
We have also heard Aiden say he won't go back to "Mom's beach house" ever again. She could have gone swimming, the rip tide grabbed her, carried her out too far, etc. etc.
However, it does seem, that like Tom Hanks in Sleepless in Seattle, Aiden took his son and moved to a whole new town far from where sad memories abounded. ????

I thought yesterday's conversation between Aiden and Chase was kind of interesting, when Chase said something like, "I thought you weren't going to date ANYMORE, after mom died". Does that mean that he was dating women before his wife died, or am I looking into the statement too much?!

I think you're taking the statement the wrong way. I think Aiden probably told Chase (after his mother died) that he wouldn't date anyone (as not to upset Chase with the idea that his mother might be "replaced").
