I too liked the Rafe Sami scenes but didnt like the continued reference to EJ. The lack of flashbacks in my opinion was because if they did show flashbacks then all the rewrites of history to make the "golden couple" work would have been an lie and tptb just couldn't show how they changed the connection and love that Rafe and Sami had.

That being said, since they were discussing EJ they could have flashed-back to when he kidnapped Sydney and told Sami she was dead, could have shown the Rafe2 mistreating her children, shown Rafe in the jail under the mansion with Jr. laughing at him, oh wait I forgot that never happened.

Saw the episode yesterday. I couldn't stand Daniel & Jennifer acting like petulant little children (especially Jennifer ripping up that picture of her and Daniel). HOWEVER, I'm glad Daniel brought up how Jennifer treated him with the Theresa debacle months ago, and that this farce of a pairing is done. Still, Daniel & Kristen is repulsive.

Even though this time Brady was wrong about Kristen's tape, he has the right intentions and I love that he's maturing. The way he said she was the "ultimate addiction" and everything was splendid. It's moments like this that I love Brady, and I think those scenes were acted wonderfully. I also can't wait to see what he tells Theresa after her and John's scenes.

The Sami scenes were also good and well-acted. Really touching between her and Caroline. And of course, her and Rafe, though I would've loved some flashbacks of them.

Was it really necessary for her to recount to Rafe the proposal/vow renewal? Yeah, I'm sure he really cares. Gimme a break. Dead or not, Rafe hated EJ and while he cares for Sami he's not going to want to listen to the sappy details of her relationship with the man Rafe hated most. I was insulted as a viewer these scenes were written like that. The dialogue and lack of flashbacks tells me all I need to know about the agenda TPTB have had the past few years.

You took the words right out of my mouth Sparkster! And let me guess, the "great" Melissa Salmons wrote this episode too (I forgot to check). What an insult to Sami's longest and best marriage to not even show a flashback of them with the kids or during the safe house scenes. Instead the dialogue was wasted on EJ. How come Lucas' dialogue wasn't spent talking about EJ? I am furious about this.

I FF the Jen and Dan scenes again.

I think we all know where the Brady/Kristen/Jeannie T/John/Daniel scenes are going. No further comment needed.

Yup, I agree. I detested how a lot of Rafe and Sami's conversation revolved around EJ. Why would Rafe care? As JJ said, just because EJ is dead (and Rafe cares about Sami) doesn't mean he stopped hating the dude.

Sami and Rafe flashbacks would ruin the idiots in charge rewrite of history, in which they made EJ a saint and the love of Sami's life.
