The Walking Dead

I. Am. So. EXCITED! There's a zombie walk downtown on Saturday. Everyone dresses up, does the Thriller dance in town square, and then walks the downtown area as a horde. I'm so excited.

sooooo thoughts on the premier last night????

My thoughts:
* Daryl and Carol back together was an awesome scene! So sweet for her to be accepted back into the group.
* CAROL!!!! Carol was also awesome. She owned that episode.
* WHERE IS BETH?! UGH... they hinted at where she was on The Talking Dead and said we will know more next week... ack! Geez Louise, this show is good!!!

We did see Beth in a trailer over the summer. Looks like she's in a prison, clinic type place maybe. She doesn't look happy but does look healthy.

I was more happy to see Rick and Carol hug. And that was BEFORE she showed him she had Judith. Loved everything about yesterday's episode.

Did you all realize the first person they killed with ballbat was the kid Rick gave his watch to last season when he and Carol met him. Gruesome scene, hard to watch.

o.k. how dumb or unbelievable after what they had just been through was it for Bob to be wandering around alone in the dark! Seems pretty lame for that to happen.

I think either Bob was bitten or felt bad that his girlfriend had to save him. He acted so guilty, certainly didn't feel like celebrating. So I believe it. I mean, Carol and Daryl took off too.

spoiler alert: the "hunters" (termites) eat "tainted" meat in the comics, it really messes them up.

So... yes, Bob was most likely bitten or scratched. He said "one more" to get a kiss from Sasha and went outside, you could tell by the way he was limping something was wrong. I believe he was going to commit suicide so that he doesn't hurt his friends.
Also- spoiler from the comics - Bob knew where he was. Bob's old group was the "termites". He knows that Gabriel is a collector of human meat for their food. He also could have been crying because he knew his friends were in danger there with Pastor Gabriel. Notice - the termites knew him by name and talked to him like an old friend at the end of the show.

Can't wait until next show... it's going to be very good I think (hope).

The van scene was good. A little warped humor after they landed and it rained walkers. And previous to that episode, I kinda figured Eugene wasn't a real scientist. So what's Abraham gonna do now? Still go to DC hoping there's shelter there or turn back to join the group again. I loved the Carol and Daryl scenes. Carol rocks though! One tough lady.

after last week, i felt so sorry for Abraham... :( but apparently he had a violent temper or past for his wife and kids to be so afraid of him. I kind of wonder how he was before the apocalypse. but I really felt for him- he was going to kill himself, then Eugene came along and gave him purpose again- only to find out it was a lie. Doesn't sound like a good place to be.
I do hope he returns to help Rick and the others. I am excited for Daryl to get back to Rick and for them to get the girls out of Grady... I also find it so funny they are in Grady, I've been in that hospital many times (to visit family). so cool!

I really hope Carol pulls through... though, her going out this way would be better than the way she went out in the comics (she committed suicide because her lover Tyrese left her for another woman). (and yes, THAT Tyrese...lol...funny how different the show is straying from the comics, yet how much other stuff is staying close to the same.)

I love love love Carol and Daryl (my dog is named Dixon, after Daryl Dixon). eeek... the mid season finale is only 2 episodes away I think... yikes! then there's the FOREVER wait for the second half of the season. I hate that wait... lol... but it's because the show is so good!

I have yet to read the comics, although I've been quite tempted. I love hearing how the storylines for characters ended in the comics. I've read rumors that Glenn is supposed to die this season according to comics.

yes, Glenn is supposed to die...but the show seems to be straying away from the comics.
The Dixon boys aren't even in any of the comics lol, they are just for the show.
So it's hard to say what will become of Glenn, I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Judith has also been dead a long time in the comics... Lori was supposed to fall on her and kill her. well, Lori died giving birth so that didn't work out. haha.

That van definitely hit her on purpose. That's how they get people! Also, I found it ironic the guy Beth saved stole from Carol and Darrel. He was so happy to get that cigarette though.

Read an article where Norman Reedus says the upcoming mid-season finale was so emotional for him, he cried a lot just to get it out before he shot the scenes. Rumors, of course.. there will be a major fatality that affects him in this episode. Since he has become close to Carol and Beth, it's highly likely that one of these will die.

Personally, I think it'll be Beth since we've seen more and more of her development as a fighter and survivor on her own. I think Carol will be around for awhile due to fan base. I hate mid-season finale's, they make you wait a few weeks and leave you hanging. arrgh!

I might start reading the comics. Since the series deviates from them, it'll be interesting to see the other storylines evolve.

And, Happy Thanksgiving to all ahead of time!

Maybe Father Gabriel is killed while out on his little excursion. I have all the episodes taped this season and am going to watch them over to see if that big hole was there all along by the church that he crawled out of. Seems like there is not much continuity to the episodes this year, what happened to the scene where Daryl was telling someone to come on out of the woods, we guess it was Noah but why not show it. Almost like the writers are not watching the episodes.
