LOL, Heck, sure it is real. I have been there....or rather drove through it some years back.
I just found it amazing that the writers actually chose a town that WAS in Arkansas.
Ever since they had Salemites board a ship in Toronto and end up in the middle of the Pacific 3 days later, it is a wonder they even considered it. I just love how they talk of driving to St. Louis, as if it is so close.
Well, come to think of it, it is not far from REAL Salem, IL.......but is quite the drive from Poplar Bluff. LOL

LOL, that is too funny. My sister lived several different places in Missouri, which is why I was familiar with it (going to visit). But one of our posters who lives in Arkansas mentioned (months ago) when we first heard about the casting call for a "mountain man" and then the fact that Jeremiah had been cast....anyway, she mentioned hoping they were not going to be showing backwoodsy hillbilly (think Deliverance!) types because that is not how the people were there.

Well then it seems that Poplar Bluff is a popular name. SO.... watch my daughter march in the McDonald's Thanksgiving Day Parade on WGN. I've got my dvr set.:)

Where does that parade take place? Usually the Macy's parade in NY fills the airwaves Thanksgiving morning.........but I know the original McDonald's restaurant in Chicago, and WGN is a Chicago station. Is that where.

Their pants are black and their jackets are white with a purple stripes on the front and the sleeves. But for some reason on the jumbotron at Cowboys Stadium the purple looks almost royal blue.
