I have too get this out of my system. I really tried to be open for Melanie's return. I hoped she had grown up a bit when she was gone. We got to know there was a secret, and it turned out to be soo boring, and again everyone saves baby Melanie. What normal parent will say: ''it's okay honey. You just go and take peoples money as long as you're okay''???? I don't like Theresa, but when she was pulling Melanie's hair, I just thought: you go girl!

And Eric... talk about doom and gloom. He looks like he woke up on the wrong side of the bed everyday. Why doesn't he ever stop treating Nicole bad? He accused her of rape, and she forgave him. Why does he put himself on a pedestal? And even if many people like Serena, I think she will turn out to be just like everybody else who puts Nicole down.

Abigail walks around talking to people in a very condescending way. Who made her the judge and jury? The only thing she is doing is having sex and talk down to others.

Eve and Paige, why can't you stay where you are? Away from Salem. I don't want to see small boys and old women having sex. And Paige just makes me want to go to sleep.

I want romance, friendship, happiness, fun, mystery (not Jordan) and some interesting drama. Not disgusting sex, unhappy, sad, people getting together and breaking it off again. After almost 20 years as a loyal fan, I will say I'm disappointed, irritated, a bit sad and boerd out of my mind by bad storylines..

Agree that some of the characters are a waste of time (especially Eric, Paige and Jordan), but I'm hoping things will get turned up with Theresa now that Melanie is back. Also, you know her pregnancy/non-pregnancy drama will heat up in a few months. There are still just enough characters who are written with some interest (Nicole, Theresa, Brady, now Serena) that I'll keep tuning in even though the sight of Eric makes me fast forward.

julia, I'm feeling everything you're saying. I'll only add that every couple gets destroyed and quickly, as well. Even EJ/Sami (whom I despised but whom the writers adored) couldn't just be.

I think the fact that there are multiple threads on this Board right now that are similar to this one speaks volumes.

These writers have destroyed everyone for me. I can't stand Eric, I fast forward him, so therefore I can't stand Serena and that is sad because I was the one who was always open for a new face.

Melanie walks on water as far as Salem is concerned and last but not least, how dare anyone say anything about the Junior Archduchess of Haggery (Abby). It's sad; I have been watching most of my life, started watching with my Nana, and now I fast forward a lot of the show.
