According to SOD, the Daytime Emmy's will be broadcast on POPTV, formerly the TV Guide Network.

Here’s some great news for the the upcoming 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, set to take place on April 26. The ceremony will return to TV and air on the POP channel, formally known as the TV Guide Network. The venue? A soundstage on the Warner Brothers lot. "We’re briging back the Hollywood glamour,” David Michaels, senior executive director of the Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards, tells Digest. "We want to give fans the kind of show that they will love."

I'm excited it's moving back to television, but disappointed because AT&T Uverse doesn't carry this channel. I want to watch along with everyone else.

I hope they get better red carpet hosts this year! Although, they couldn't do worse than last year if they tried.

Direct TV carries it.......Used to be the TVG channel. TV Guide owns it/or sponsors it. POP is what it is called now. And that new show Drama Queens, with ex-soap actresses, will be debuting there in april.

The Talk just read the Daytime Emmy nominees.

I missed the leading actor category, but Peggy McCay (Caroline) and Alison Sweeney (Sami) were nominated in the lead actress category. Camila Banus (Gabi) was nominated in the younger actress category. Freddie Smith (Sonny) was nominated in the younger actor category. Days was nominated for daytime drama (all 4 soaps were nominated).

I mean no harm at all but I don't see how Peggy McCay (Caroline) continues to get Lead Actress nominations. We see Caroline probably once a month.

Happy about Camila Banus. Gabi's goodbye scenes were without a doubt her best work during her run on DAYS.

Absolutely heart broken that Blake Berris didn't get a nomination for Supporting Actor. I thought he was wonderful in 2013 & 2014.

Not surprised at all that Eric Martsolf (Brady) didn't get a nomination in the category. Another relapse story and his drunken sex with Theresa were hardly award-winning material. They need to get him out of the 20-something bucket and put him where he belongs - with Nicole, Serena, Eric.

DAYS got a nomination for Outstanding Art Direction/Set Decoration/Scenic Design for a Drama Series :rotfl:I guess the committee appreciates how many ways they can put that one office set to use, or how much action the park can handle, or how many different locations that one hotel room can be passed off for.

DAYS is left out of the Lead Actor category AGAIN. Is this a writing issue, a talent issue, or both? Look at how YR and GH dominate the acting categories. If nothing else, I hope the new writers uses ALL of their talent to at least give others a chance at being worthy contenders next year.

Yeah, I didn't get how Peggy McCay (Caroline) got nominated in the lead actress category, either. I can't even remember the last time I saw her. And all of her appearances last year seem like they added up to about 20 minutes of air-time. I wonder if she submitted the scene from Will and Sonny's wedding?

That has to be the scene she submitted JS. Other than that she popped up every now and then to offer words of wisdom and that's it! The only other scenes I remember from last year are her talking to Sami about how Shawn forgave her for cheating and some scenes with Eric after it was revealed Nicole shredded the evidence. That's it!

It won't be seen at my house either since my cable network doesn't carry this channel.

I agree about Peggy McCay (Caroline). Arianne Zucker (Nicole) should have been nominated instead.

Also agree that Days doesn't really have a lead actor right now. They want you to believe that Daniel Jonas is the leading male character but the character doesn't really carry the show.

The only technical Emmy I'd like to see the show win is the one for Outstanding Casting.

Edited to add: I'm disappointed that Kate Mansi (Abigail) was not nominated. She really came into her own during the EJ/Abigail affair.
