Stefano's interest in Abby

Clyde and Xander would be good villains, but the writing for them isn't good at all. Same thing with Kristen--wasted potential. I would like it if Kate went evil again, and if she reunited with Stefano. Plus, it would keep Stefano from being so occupied with his kids' lives, just as Eve, Kate, Victor, and Maggie are.

Kate has always been evil, and still is. She managed to get Lucas fired from his job, (by telling Victor about Lucas & Adrienne, when she promised to stay mum), and just Friday pretended Justin had come to work for her, (to Lucas & Adrienne) which really ticked off Justin. Look how she tried so hard to get something on Jordan, in order to get Rafe to herself. And Rafe did not "love" her at all, and she knew it.

Yeah but that doesn't compare to the things she did in the past, or what any other past villains have done. I think that she and Eve have great potential to actually be plotting evil things, not just inconvenience and annoy people.

I would not call causing gigantic problems for your son, time after time, and "inconvenience" or "annoyance". She tried hard to murder Chloe, and then arranged thru Quin to force her into prostitution. She framed Sami onto death row, tried to kill Victor with a poker, then set his house afire, which injured her son, Lucas badly. She had an affair with mobster Moroni because she wanted Victor dead, and figured Moroni would do it. (This was at Greta's coronation).

And while Kate loves to call other women in Salem terrible names insinuating they sleep around, sometimes getting paid for it, she herself was a big time hooker in NY, and since she came to Salem, has slept with practically every available male, regardless of age. Victor, Moroni, Stefano, EJ, Rafe, Nicky Alamain, Ian MacAllister, Daniel, Clyde.......am sure I missed a few.

Now see I am agreeing with you. Kate needs to be "evil" like when she used the poisoned apples, tried to kill Victor, used Quinn, etc etc. What I'm trying to say is that her scheme against Jordan, or stealing Lucas' job, while obviously wrong, was just poor writing. Those particular things don't strike me as evil. I'm trying to say that if they are going to make Kate a villain, she needs to do things that are actually despicable. The stuff with Jordan...many viewers, including myself, felt that while she was in the wrong, there wasn't much reason to care. Her wanting to "protect" Rafe or have him for herself and then finding IDs and then taking Rafe from Jordan was a weak storyline. Similar to Eve. Yes, she's bad for sleeping with her daughter's boyfriend, and I don't know of anyone who likes the character. But if she's to be an actual villain on the soap, pair her up with Clyde and have her do something that's actually evil, instead of just poorly-written storylines in the kiddie pool.

Ah, but see, Kate has sabotaged one way or another, every single one of Lucas's relationships. There he was romancing Sheryl, and there was Kate, sending the gal off to Houston. She steals Stefano's company, and when he retaliated, she stole her beloved's son's job, all the while denying it is what she intended. THAT was evil in my opinion. A poisoned apple by another name.

And Eve did the same to her own daughter, both women claiming to love their children so much, and wanting what EACH WOMAN thinks is best for them. Supposedly.
I don't like or want Kate rubbing her hands in glee, as she stirs the cauldron and cackles her witch's laugh.
I guess that I really hate how those who do the evil always blame others, make excuses for themselves. Sure it is fun for them, for us to watch, I suppose, but it is not enjoyable to constantly see evil win.
Stefano wants Chad to have Abby for a reason, and while I like Chad & Abby together, I truly do not want it to happen if Stefano has ANYTHING up his sleeve.

I think both Kate and Eve both need a long hiatus from Salem. Especially Kate.

Stefano is a fantastic villain if written correctly but the show needs to really have a solid plan for an heir apparent at this point. It should have been Kristen but they screwed that up too. Perhaps a darker recast EJ in a year or so.

I'd love it if Stefano came back and was involved for a bit with Eve. Kate would get jealous, become enemies with Eve, break it off with Clyde (who'd blame Stefano and go to war with him). Then, Stefano would ultimately choose Kate over Eve. In revenge, Eve can join forces with Clyde, eventually they fall in love and get married, and we have 2 strong villain super couples going at it.

Since it's only make believe and a soap opera, I do like the evil folks/couples. A constant love story would get as boring as constant evil.:)

Right about now, I'd so rather be bored by a love story than a hate filled "love story". But I do agree with your point. I'm just so tired of evil always winning.

I wonder if in that file what Stefano has is related to Abby's father Jack? If it does then maybe Stefano knows for a fact that Jack is alive or he knows who has Jack. Or he may even, in fact, be working with that person to keep Jack prisoner. I think Jack is being held prisoner somewhere while everyone, including his loved ones, think that he's dead when he isn't.

Or next best option, the file has to do with Abby and EJ somehow.

I don't think EJ or Stefano kidnapped Jack once upon a time. EJ and Stefano, however, did kidnap Abby's uncle Steve. They tortured him because they had programmed him back in the day.
