WOW Missid! Really good!! Almost changed my mind about my version..... but here goes... Time has passed much faster for Sami and the kids.... Sydney is a high school senior and Johnny and Allie are freshmen.
Horton Plaza: Sami and the younger three children: Sydney: Mom can we go see Grandma Caroline?
Sami: Yes, in just a minute, we'll all go.
Sydney: O.K. Mom....(slight eye roll) Sami looks around... it's early and no one is around. So they walk over to the Brady Pub.
Sami holds the door open, the kids go in and Sami follows... lots of hugs, kisses and excitement as they all greet Caroline.
Sami gets coffee, sits at a table; the three join her and order breakfast
Caroline: Sami, why didn't you tell us you were coming?
Sami: I wasn't sure which flight we could get and didn't want to disappoint anyone.
Caroline looks at her granddaughter: Sami you've changed. Grown up!
Sami: 'Bout time, don't you think? Way long overdue. I've learned a lot in California, including how to stand on my own two feet, by myself. I'm still mourning what might have been with EJ; but I know that's over.
Caroline: Good for you!
Sami : I couldn't have done it here, had to get completely away from Salem, and also get therapy. That will continue. I no longer feel like a victim. I've caused most of my own problems.
Kate walks in, gets coffee, and joins the group, (meanwhile the kids are eating breakfast; they're well mannered and well behaved!) Well, Sami, what brings you to Salem?
Sami: It's school vacation and we wanted to see family.
