Days of Our Lives - Fri., July 31, 2015

Bless your heart, Jason.

KatieR.....was just coming to say exactly the same thing. You pick up your baby, at night, late, no car, and walk thru the park where you, yourself were nearly killed ??(thank you, Jason). O.K. I am going to give a pass on the guys "hangin' out" together. First....they all probably ate dinner at home first. Next, they went out to have a good time, have a couple drinks.....too bad there was not a bowl of pretzels, popcorn, Chex Snax or something on the table. (Anything but fruit)

I was starting to wonder if the only thing Salemites actually eat is fruit. Everything else seems to go untouched. Except maybe Wanchai Ferry entrees (that reference from DaysD the other day really cracked me up and I forgot to mention it) :rotfl:

Jason, a big thank you for helping with the summaries. Tell your hubby
we really appreciated it.

I thought it was interesting when the "man" said Tinkerbell John
was close by. John calls Belle Tink.

Does Clyde need to take a shower? It was mentioned a couple
of times he smells like trouble :)

Will Kate and Justin become more than friends? I hope not.

Would Clyde lie to Ben about the ring? Probably. Will Ben
find out later? Probably. I'm sure Ben will learn a lot what
his father has done.
I enjoyed the dancing on today's show. Is romance back in Salem

I hope we they won't keep showing the flyer of the bicentennial every
show. November is far away

We will probably be confused with the lack of continuity with the scenes, till Sept. It had to be difficult to revise and revamp and work in a lot different people.

I know a lot of you like Aiden and Hope, but to me, it always seems forced; uncomfortable.

That Wanchai Ferry clip is priceless!!!:rotfl::rotfl:That little smile thing Rafe does at the end looks like he's about to burst into laughter from how bad that was!!
And thanks for the summary JasonD. As always, a great job. And this was a good episode! Lots of romance; yes, I agree with others than you can tell it's been tweaked (and thank goodness for that!).

Anyways, I'm hoping that Justin/Kate turns out to be a red herring, a la Maxine/Abe or Abe/Kayla before that. I really don't want to see her cheating on her drug-dealing boyfriend with a man who's married to her son's mistress.

I'm enjoying Hope & Aiden and even John & Marlena .THESE are the better DAYS that we fans want to see!!! Dancing, romantic talk, gazing at the stars!! Love it! I'm not loving how Rafe is pining away for Hope all of a sudden, in what will most likely turn out to be another dead-end crush. This poor guy has bad luck almost as bad as Roman in the love department!

I liked how the Chad and Abigail scenes were done. Beautiful and fantastic acting! Of course, the storyline will probably drag until around Thanksgiving, but whatever. As for Ben, the creepy Weston youngster had better go to Jordan really quickly, for his world will probably turn upside down in a few months.

The scenes in the nightclub were well done, and I just loved the interactions with John & Paul. We need to see more of this! Also, Derrick and Paul warms my heart, but Sonny being jealous most certainly does not.

Also, I'm getting tired of that damn flyer showing up everywhere. I bet Ciara will snag one and put it in her backpack to sell on Ebay in a few decades when it's worth increases.

I was thinking about the fight, and some people over at Days Central think that Will might have staged the whole thing in order to push Derrick into Paul's arms and he told Derrick to lie to Paul about his family disowning him for being gay. That would be the final nail in the Will/Sonny coffin. What do you guys think?

We don't know that it was a fictional setup. It could have been embellished, or it could even be 100% true, and Will told Derrick to tell it in order to advance his relationship with Paul. They didn't say "lie" or "fib."

Frankly Will putting that much effort into this whole scenario is ridiculous. If he put that much effort into his job, he wouldn't be such a hack writer. LOL

Isn't it funny how Sonny's been one of my favourite characters, and I can't stand him, just as I'm starting to like Paul? It's like the writers can only make 3-4 characters likable at one time.

I just had a thought about Sonny's "sudden" change to being jealous. This stuff would have been written right around the time Paul first started to air (December)...and at that time, there were a lot of people who were excited about Paul/Sonny. Now we have Sonny acting sad when Paul's with someone else, when there was no indication prior to (maybe) two weeks ago that Sonny had any feelings for Paul.

So I guess I shouldn't blame "crummy" writing...I should blame the terrible shooting schedule.
