Lucas wakes up, Adrienne is calling to him. He dreamt that she dumped him and he got plastered. Oops, that was just a dream; he's actually in Chloe's room. "Oh god no, it really is a nightmare." Chloe thought he'd never get up. He has no recollection of last night, but it comes back to him. Adrienne DID dump him and he DID get plastered. Later, he thanks Chloe for saving him from a mistake last night. She asks about whether or not he was really drinking with Brady. Lucas has a flashback to doing so, but denies it to Chloe using doubletalk and half-truths.

In prison, a thug swipes Adrienne's Intruder. She pleads that she's not Bonnie Lockhart. A guard comes in, the warden has refused "Bonnie"'s request for a meeting, doesn't want any more tall tales from Lockhart. The guard entertains her notion for a minute, allowing her to recall meeting Anjelica. She has lost phone privileges, can't prove she was drugged, but is desperate to call Sonny & Lucas. She'll get her phone privileges in a week. Later, she is pleading with the guard to call someone for her, the thug returns her magasine & swats her butt with it, Adrienne grabs the guard and begs for help. He throws her in solitary.

In Adrienne's hotel room, Bonnie orders room service to cure a hangover, glances at her tablet Intruder which announces Abe's arrest. Hattie arrives, not hungover at all, has worked out and is ready to start their dreams. Later they look at photos of Roman, and Hattie recalls meeting Roman at the diner and trying to kill herself, to be saved by Roman. She was hoping for romance then, now has a second chance. Anjelica arrives, dislikes the smell of french fries. Hattie scoots, Anjie wants details on the dumping of Lucas, reminds Bonnie that her anatomy is different than Adrienne's, and Lucas would know it in a second.

At the Kmansion, Victor is gloating about Abe's arrest, Brady enters. Victor secreted him off to rehab for an overnight stay and has kept mum about it to everyone, even Maggie. Brady vows to stay on the wagon and reveal Eric as Deimos's murderer. Brady thinks that what happened in Greece provides motive for Eric to have killed Deimos, and although Brady laments turning his brother in, he is still mad about Eric's betrayal with Nicole. Brady is about to storm off, but Victor has more words about his drinking. Brady promises to go to a meeting today. Victor laments that Chloe started his addiction.

At the Horton Center, Eric is looking at his Nicole pictures from their ill-advised photo shoot in his room (the pictures for Holly). They discuss how thankful they are for each other's participation in the photo shoot, and how Brady thinks they're having an affair. Eric wonders if Brady trashed his room "last night." It was sacked but nothing, not even his valuables, was stolen. He will file a report after work. This concerns Nicole, who asks to finish her hours tomorrow so she can find Brady.

At the Pub, Hattie goes to see Roman. Roman rails into "Marlena" for dumping John, orders her to go back to John and work things out. Hattie tries to make a case, talks about how her relationship with John is not a priority from John's point of view, and their relationship was doomed because it started when "[John] took over [Roman's] life." Roman walks this back a bit, and they reminisce about their kids, Carrie, Sami, and then, Eric (Hattie makes a misstep, didn't know that Sami/Eric were twins). She goes on and on, and Roman is talking about how they took turns feeding the twins. Roman realizes he's looking for real love again, thanks to this talk, but Marlena has it with John. Hattie takes this as an opening, and appears to be attempting to devour his face.

In the Square, Chloe and Lucas are enjoying fresh air as he explains how Adrienne was his everything (Allie is on the run with Sami, Will died, his marriage to Chloe broke up), which is what caused him to backslide. He vows to quit drinking. She offers her support and ear if he needs anything, despite their screwed-up past.

At Adrienne's room, Anjelica gives Bonnie notes on how to win Justin over, then dump him, so she can swoop in. She goes into detail, really seems into the idea, as Bonnie takes notes.

Chloe arrives at the Kmansion, wants to talk to Brady, Victor refuses, but they are all going to talk together. She asks about Brady falling off the wagon last night. Victor blusters, denies, blah blah.

Bonnie tries to avoid Lucas in the square, but he sees her, and does not abide "Adrienne's" lecturing him. He goes on about how he misses Adrienne's love and kisses, begs her to tell him it's not too late. (Bonnie fantasises about being in bed with him, too - fun little miniscene.) Back to reality, Bonnie drops Lucas after a moment's hesitation, zips off. Lucas orders a Bloody Mary.

At the Horton Center, Eric is looking wistfully at Nicole's pictures. He muses he can't get her out of his head. Chloe enters, wonders aloud of whom he speaks.

Nicole arrives at the Kmansion, wants to talk to Brady about where he was last night. Ask Eric, Brady snaps.

Thanks for the summary. I'm disappointed in Lucas, Victor, and most of all, Brady. I am so sick and tired of his little tantrums---you'd think he was 13 by the way he's acting! I also am not enjoying Victor. I always liked his snark and one-liners before, but he keeps making excuses for his family's bad behavior and being unnecessarily cruel as of late. And Chloe had a good point yesterday: Lucas shouldn't be drinking now when he didn't even after Will died. Stupid! Still, I can totally feel for him given the situation. He needs to go to a meeting. I hope Chloe gives him another good talking to.

Also, finally Roman got a kiss!! I know Katmouse will be happy about that!

Victor actually reading the trashy tabloid, the Intruder, brought to mind the old "What Sort of Man Reads Playboy" ad campaign of the early 1970s.

What sort of man reads the Intruder? At
the backgammon table as in life, Victor
Kiriakis plays to win. He considers all the
odds, weighs all the moves, and makes his
ruthless decisions accordingly. Naturally,
when it comes to reading pleasure, the
Intruder is his choice.

I wonder if Roman was really swallowing what Hattie was saying, or if he was playing her and suspicious about what was going on?
I think he's suspicious. We'll need JS or someone to weigh in on this, but it didn't sound like what really happened when the twins were babies. Ron C's paying too much attention to history to let something like that NOT be a major plot point. Weren't they kidnapped by Stefano for many, many months?

Thanks, Jason.

Did Roman actually get a kiss? We only saw the back of Hattie's head. Maybe we'll
see it again tomorrow. I'm disappointed it was filmed that way.

Hopefully, Hattie told enough things to Roman so he would question what she said
like not knowing Sami and Eric are twins.

I enjoyed Lucas' line to Bonnie about "not having any time to freshen up because
he was going with the I just got dumped look"

Poor Adrienne she's going to be in solitary. I was hoping she would pull up her shirt
and show the guard she had surgery.

I hope the one night stay at rehab will help Brady. I keep wondering what's going to
happen to him since he's carrying around the cursed amulet.

I'm thinking he and John are playing Hattie. I find it really odd though that John seems to be a supporting character in his own story.

The twin comment was hysterical but I think if Roman really thought this was Marlena, he would have been angrier.

I don't like where Lucas and Bonnie are headed.

Brady needs a rest. Too bad because he and Chloe look fantastic together.

I'm not clear on why Chloe was making the rounds today but I like how she helped Lucas.

Great job by Judi Evans (Adrienne/Bonnie)

Hear, hear. She did a fabulous job. Kudos also to Bryan Datillo (Lucas). If it really happens, it'll be gross, but Bonnie's low-class fantasy about being in bed with Lucas was funny. I like how Anjelica called her sex-starved.

I don't remember a lot of Roman and Marlena shown taking care of two crying newborns. And you are correct that Stefano kidnapped them when they were really small. Here's a picture of Marlena and the twins, with Stefano and nurse Kate Honeycutt watching. He'd allow Marlena to see them every so often. Bo eventually rescued them.

When Drake Hogestyn (John) first returned to work, it was not "full time". The show had to use him sparingly, thus he was away on missions, etc. Thus stories were written without him being physically present, in order to give him the recovery time he needed, and may still need.

I know he has said that Deidre Hall (Marlena) helped him a lot, as he could not always remember his lines. Inasmuch as all those tales were written without him being around much, guessing that in order to wind them up, same they are being very careful with the actor.

Only saw some bits and pieces of the show, so grateful for the summary and comments.

Had the Phoenix had known how these infants would turn out, he wouldn't have gone anywhere near them. If Celeste had looked into a crystal ball and seen the future, Stefano might have said something like this: "These babies will turn out to be a pair of stinkers, no? I think that I'll punish my Queen of the Night by letting her keep her awful children. They will bring her nothing but misery."

OMG, yes. During the scene with the dopey guard, I kept thinking, "flash the idiot." Adrienne might also have asked that her fingerprints be compared to those of Bonnie. Finally, kudos to the writers for showing actual copies of the Intruder on screen. With all the dysfunction and sordid behavior that happens in Salem, this is the kind of paper the city needs -- not Jenny's insipid Spectator (which Anne Milbauer now seems to be running all by herself).

Adrienne might also have asked that her fingerprints be compared to those of Bonnie.
Or at the very least, said she was sick, gone to the infirmary and shown her surgical scars to the doctor/nurse.

Thanks for the summary Jason!

I hope Roman caught on. Many of his facial expressions looked like he was questioning some of the things. The fact she didn't know Eric and Sami are twins was obvious AND to not mention the kidnapping should have been absolutely a reason to suspect something was drastically wrong with "Marlena." Maybe he already suspects. Maybe Hope has mentioned to someone that Hattie has been released from prison?

I SO agree with those folks who were "screaming" at Adrienne to mention surgery or fingerprints or SOMETHING to get the guard to at least question, rather than just dismissing, her story.

Still having trouble with the Hattie & gang story and the drinking! (glad for FF button) Trying to keep positive and hopeful for Ron Carlivati's abilities!

I really laughed at the guard's snarky "is this like a Beyoncé/Sasha Fierce thing?" line. If they don't make our heroes suffer too much, and deliver a line like that at least every other doppelgänger episode, I'll allow it for another week. *wink*

However, they've ruined both Bonnie and Hattie, formerly light grey but likable characters, forever.
