Shenanigans

Alice and Maggie bought it sometime in the early 90's and called it Alice's Restaurant. The profits went to the hospital charity program. It hasn't been mentioned since the mid-90's, so one would guess it's been closed for years.

Salemites are fickle in their "favorite" of the moment. Shenanigans seems to have gone the way of Hudson St. Diner, Penthouse Grill, Tuscany & Chez Rouge, Java Cafe, Blue Note, Wings, Cheatin' Heart...........

I think, on occasion, we see parts of these places elsewhere.

And if Salemites are fickle in naming a re-opened a place: back to Doug's Place for less than a minute and then on to Chloe's Place.

I believe that Sonny obtained the Cheatin' Heart and turned into Common Grounds, which is now called Club TBD.

That is correct. Adrienne owned the Cheatin' Heart, which is how Sonny got it.

Let's not leave out Dot.com........lol I thought that was what became Common Grounds....but I am not gonna dispute JS......she will always get the last word. :)

There sure have been a lot of places. Guess, though that Days MAY have thought Shenanigans was a bit "low class" for their now well off citizens of Salem.

I think they have a dart board at the Pub, maybe even a pool table......but don't quote me on anything......my mind these days is in too much of a tizzy with all I have going on.

Only if I can research the question and find the correct answer. :)

  • Club TBD: Club owned by Eduardo Hernandez and managed by Dario Hernandez; previously co-owned by Chad DiMera and Sonny Kiriakis then managed by Adrienne Johnson and Justin Kiriakis. It was "Common Grounds Café" until it was renamed "Club TBD" in 2013 and before that it was the Cheatin' Heart. Sonny would leave Adrienne and Justin in charge of the club when he left Salem in October 2015. Chad would sell his share of Club TBD to Justin and Adrienne in February 2016. In June 2016, Adrienne would mention that Sonny sold Club TBD and later on Eduardo Hernandez would buy it. Dario Hernandez begin to manage in July 2016.

Here's the summary from January 4, 2012:

Sonny knows something is bothering Will, tries to get him to open up. But first says he is thinking of perhaps taking over the Cheatin Heart from his parents, turning it into a hip, edgy coffee shop, welcoming everyone, gay, straight, whatever. Those tired of the corporate coffee shops. He figures to have music, WiFi, games…is very enthusiastic. Will thinks that is great, count him in.

LOL, oh my gosh, I really wrote that, huh? :rotfl: Don't know how you found that in the summaries, when I go looking in there, I just go bonkers, skimming thru day after day. It always helps if I know the day & year, but heck, it would be enough for me to remember the year. Ha.

I was surprised it was over 5 years ago already.

The original coffee place was Common Grounds Cafe. Then I had forgotten it was briefly called Caffeinated, before they remodeled it into Club TBD.
