Good Morning Everyone,

Cloudy and gloomy this morning, but not super cold yet. We're supposed to get a mix of snow and freezing rain tonight, so I may end up working from home again tomorrow if it's bad enough.

I had choir practice last night. I forgot how late practices get when we don't start until after the Wednesday Lent church service. I didn't get home until 8:30, which I'm sure for most people is no big deal, but that's usually when I'm going to bed.

I figured out the best parts of my new desk at work. The boss sits all the way on the opposite side of the office so she almost never stops by to check on us. And the heating/cooling system works better over here, so I don't need to run my fan all the time. :)

Happy Thursday!

Well that was a really short night. The pain meds finally kicked in after 1 am last night and the beast settled. He is still not himself this morning so I'll be calling his regular vet to see if we can get him in later today.

Manda - the only good thing about moving desks, to me anyway, is I finally get to throw stuff out. Now why do I have this paper cup from a well known coffee house??? Why did I keep it??? Into the recycle can it goes. I manage to toss all the pens and pencils that don't work. But I'm not sure my cleaning is really worth the rest of the hassle. Good to know the heating and air works better on that side.

Have a good Thursday. It is Thursday, isn't it??

Good morning all. Just a quick pop in to say hi and to say congratulations to the American Women's Hockey team in their gold medal win against Canada in last night's game. Was a nail biter, I guess and Canada lost 3-2 in a shootout.

Great game!!

Have a great day.

Happy Thursday everyone!

It is a lovely cold morning! My house is 59F inside and it feels like Christmas as we near St. Pat's Day. I will take it as long as this low pressure sits in our valley! It cheers me up no matter what is going on at work, home, or the world. Since Directv changed music channels, I now have a 24/7 Christmas channel which I listen to when exhausted or just needing a little cheer. My sister says I am a "Christmas nut".

A very busy day planned for us after work hours. We have a softball team prep meeting and a fund raiser for an orphanage in Mexico at our church. We are splitting duties so I will accompany my daughter to the fund raiser. When home we will watch taped Olympic skating before going to bed, unless too late for the kiddos. Somehow we often start our Fridays sleep-deprived, but that is a small inconvenience.

Manda: great news your desk is situated where you would like away from frequent over sight and a much better temperature area. I always look for the coldest seat as I am easily too warm nowadays. Hope tonight you have no other obligations and can get in some extra sleep.

Robin: oh, so worried about you & Mr. Gus!! He's too cute to be in pain and you don't need the extra stress. Please keep us posted on what your 'regular vet' says & does for the little guy.

Muzza: Thanks for the gracious USA team compliment! I am so proud of all the athletes that give it their very best, win or lose. To beat a Canadian team is a real accomplishment because usually they are always the very best team.

Wishing everyone a great day!

Good morning. It looks pretty here, as though there were a covering of snow. But it is frozen sleet. I very carefully went out and fed the hungry birds. We may get to 34* later. I had 4 deer in the yard yesterday, trying to stretch their necks to eat mistletoe out of a hackberrry tree. It was good to see living creatures other than the wasps that have made their way past the ice on the windows to get inside.

Wishing everyone a good day, and special good wishes for Mr. Gus.

Good morning.........Am hearing of rains & flooding in midwest, and yes, Texas, Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia. Melting snows plus rain. We are under winter advisory, as we are to get snow, (probably heavy, wet stuff) after 4 p.m. til tomorrow noon???? Will know when it comes. :) But weather site is saying wide spread wet weather over U.S.

My niece landed in the hospital yesterday after falling on the ice, doing something to her shoulder. This happened to her once before a few years ago, but she is in a sling currently, waiting for MRI results. Stay inside, anyone with snow, ice, wet slush, etc.

Quick update on Mr. Gus. He is sleeping, curled up in his bed by my desk. Seems Hunny Bunny had things to do, so his lap wasn't available!! Can you believe it???? I know.

They have a replacement vet in today so his appointment will be tomorrow. The good thing about him last night was I did get to see the 2nd and 3rd periods of hockey and then HAD to stay up till the shoot-out finished. It was a good game both teams played well.

Noel - I'm glad someone is happy with this icky weather. At least the sun is shining, if not offering heat. Which we will have plenty of in a month or two.

Manda - sounds like a great move. No micro managing and temperature is better.

Robin - so sorry Mr. Gus is having problems. They become our children and it's hard to go through their pain when they can't tell us what's wrong and what's working.

Muzz - it was a great game. Nail bitter and it could have gone either way. Thank you.

Noel - I listen to Christmas music all year long (I have never told anyone though-LOL) I have been staying up all week much later than I should watching the Olympics. It's made a very fast week.

OC - I bet your view this morning was priceless. I could sit all day and watch deer or any animals really. Be careful going out though.

Poirot - your post looks exactly like our weather report. Hopefully this is the last weekend for the bitter cold and snow and ice. Wishful thinking.

So happy it's Thursday as my staying up late and getting up at 4:30 is starting to work a number on me. I love the Olympics. However, I did notice late last night that Comcast has the Olympics On Demand.

Be safe and have a great day.

Hi everyone. Another long day at kindergarten registration. One more day to go. I just wish I didn't have to work on my day off. That just means nothing else will be accomplished.

One nice thing was the principal coming to look for me. Said she was very very happy with my screenings, and asked me to schedule for next year already.

I hope Mr Gus gets relief from the pain. It is hard to watch your pet or child suffer.

Another rainy afternoon here. The water in ditch isn't as high as it was
the other day. R
ain rest of week. I was disappointed no winter weather
last night.

robin, I hope the vet will help Mr Gus.

manda, I'm glad your desk move is working out for you.

Noel, Christmas music is the best part of Christmas.

OC, I hope your day went well.

I hope everyone will have a good evening and restful sleep later.

Hi everyone!

Robin, I hope Mr. Gus feels better soon.

Manda, glad you like your new desk.

Noel, glad you're enjoying your cooler weather.

Kat, sorry you didn't get your snow.

Rs, it's great that the principal was impressed with your work.

Shan, hope you get some sleep soon. Glad you're enjoying the Olympics.

OC, be careful with all that ice.

Poirot, hope your niece is okay.

Muzza, hope you are having a good day.

I went to work at 7:30 this morning but left at 11:30 because I had a migraine and the store being warm because of the weather was making me miserable. We were slated for a visit from the Board of Pharmacy and apparently they temporarily closed the store to test the fire alarm system. One of the pharmacy techs posted a picture on Facebook of my store manager sitting in lane 1 of our drive thru.:rotfl:

Hope everyone has a wonderful night!

Red: I love your sense of humor is stronger than a migraine! Your attitude rocks! Hope your night is peaceful.
