Real question here.

On twitter, people are saying "Rafe blackmailed Ciara" and "Rafe made Ciara keep the secret."

That's not how I remember it. Can someone with a better memory help me? Or are those people just bonkers? (Lots of Rafe hate and nobody but Bo is good enough for Hope people on my twitter all of a sudden.)

I'm asking this board because there's usually more measured, articulate responses than one can get on twitter.
 
Well, in addition, I live in a large touristy "summer home" area, tons of lakes, forests, vacation homes, islands, fishing, skiing, and more. Was amazed at how much goes on in the tiny nearby towns, but mostly rural living. Lots of the proverbial "snowbirds", been in the position of having to help shut down cabins, the problems faced by those snowbirds returning who did not do it properly.

I just have a huge problem with the wardrobe and sets in winter in Salem. I know they are in CA, and are filming midwest winters in CA summers, but I don't care.They have established Salem to being in the midwest, close to Chicago, so the weather and clothing should be appropriate, and it isn't. Oh, they have someone mention it is cold, tho they sure are not dressed for it. And Hope & Rafe arriving at the cabin, in the pouring rain, with no coats??? Jackets? Hats, gloves, ear muffs, nothing! And Hope should take a hot shower? Where? LOL, I remember when those at the cabin had to take a shower OUTSIDE...twas a lot of fun for them at the time, years ago. LOL

But that island does NOT have city plumbing, etc.
 
I also thought the episode was boring. And frankly, I think the best part of the show was Eric and Roman. I'm bored with the Abigail stuff because it's on way too often. I just hope this doesn't drag out for months to come.

State laws on witnesses to weddings vary. A few require two, some one, and many none at all. Illinois where Salem is usually presumed to be does't require them. So assuming the poor sap who was induced to come to chilly Smith Island in mid-winter is authorized to marry people, Rafe and Hope can charge back to Salem and announce to one and all: "We're married!!" Of course, their wedding might have been witnessed from the cabin's dark corners or holes in the ceiling by the resident raccoons who are probably planning an armed attack unless Rafe and Hope vacate the premises quicklyl

I hope they aren't going to get married at the cabin, where would the drama be?? Especially now with Claire also knowing Rafe's secret.

I'm assuming the one who was surprised with the priest (I already forgot who arranged it) will say no.

Yes, an overall boring Friday sweeps show.
