So glad it's Friday, and I can wear jeans to work! I'm busy trying to get ready for Jake's birthday party. (His birthday was a couple of weeks ago).

Cleaned closets yesterday... boy do I have "treasures " in there... we have a pick up next week..

Good morning everyone. I still feel like poo, but must go to the grocery store. I'm almost out of bread for toast, and finished the juice. Other staples are almost gone too since this is my scheduled big shopping weekend. I do my big shopping once or twice a month with just picking up milk/bread on the weeks in between. I had hoped to feel well enough by Sunday to go, but mother nature has a different agenda. We're to have 6 inches of snow this afternoon / evening, with 6 more by morning. (Note to Lake Erie......I hate your lake effect snow!!!!) RATS.....all of the "Susie Storm" people will be out, too. This is what we call people who fill their shopping carts with bread and milk when they hear that even 1 snowflake is coming.

Well, TGIF! Today has been quite a busy, crazy week. Can't wait for 5 pm today to come.

I think I may try to get a mani/pedi appt for tomorrow (waiting until the last minute is never a good idea, but...)

Squirrely, hope you feel better soon. People here are so bad about that. Last year, I took a pic of the grocery store before a storm.

Squirrel, shopping is bad enough when you feel well. Hope you don't get a setback from getting out too soon. Funny about "Susie Storm" people. I never heard that. Wonder if the idea came from the ditty about Susie Snowflake.

Barb, all our vehicles are caked with mud too, but not from snow, thank goodness. I hope you get a break from winter weather soon.

Ooops, sorry. I came to SS specifically to start a birthday thread for Lovogrif and didn't see that the donuts thread was already wishing her a happy birthday. Sorry about that! I just thought that since she doesn't get SS it might be easier to put all her birthday wishes in one place and send her that.

Hope all are having a good day and looking forward to a fun weekend. I've got a meeting to get to at church this morning, so must get ready for that.

Good Morning Everyone and Lois. Just got back from picking up hubby's meds and from shopping. We are going to get a little snow about 1inch or 2 here and its going to be cold this weekend in the low 20's during the day. Crazy weather this winter from in the 60's a week ago to the 20's and Teens this week.. When I was in town you would have thought from all the people running around picking up food
staples that we were going to have 12 inches of snow. I am glad we are going to get some snow finely even if it is a small amount. Well must run and start some home made chedder potato soup and some Irish Soda Bread for tonights dinner.

Good morning all and a very happy birthday to Lois. It's not the same without her here. Seems like this stomach bug that Annabelle had is on the move. I'm not feeling 100% today, but it hasn't hit me hard and I'm hoping it won't. Today is the Valentine's party at school, so it should be a great time. The kids are going to decorate their own cupcakes and exchange Valentines. We're expecting some "wintry mix" Sunday night/Monday morning, as of the forecast right now, but it probably won't amount to much other than slick roads. Ava was fussy this morning so she went down for an early nap. I hope that means she's been in a great mood when it's time to go to school for the party. Everyone have a great day.
