For those of you who are feeling ill I truly hope that you'll get better soon. It's awful being sick for weeks on end...especially when the weather isn't cooperative. You feel like you just want to hunker down until you feel the warmth coming through the windows....
Spring is coming soon....isn't it? :)

    Best to all.....

Good morning, Rew & all of you yet to wake up this morning! Guess what? I found out yesterday that I am expecting baby #2!!!! We are very excited, but cautiously so, of course because it is still very early. We weren't going to tell anyone yet, but then we get to church & my husband tells his mom right away. So then I had to tell my parents. I haven't been to the doctor yet, but I think I'll be due around October 17. All prayers for a healthy pregnancy would be much appreciated! Hope everyone has an awesome day!

Good morning all, boy, doesn't make much difference when I go to bed, still wake up at 5..lol. Only saw for a second the weather map with a huge blanket of snow mid country, still have to see/hear forecast. Here we are definitely C O L D. It is 2 above right now, will probably drop down some more before dawn, it usually does

Congrats NCRPh...how exciting for you all. Rew, hope classes go well today.

Still have cinnamon toast for you all, plus whoever wants either hot oatmeal or cream of wheat, brrrr, that is the comfort food for a cooollllddddd morning. Take care.

Good morning. We have a blanket of fluffy snow on the ground this morning. Looks pretty but won't last long, as we are to get up to 56* today. Our colder weather came over the weekend, along with wind that felt icy, even though there was no precip at that time. I guess being in and out of that cold wind and having company really wore me out. I conked out on the couch after the kids left and slept so hard for two hours, it took me half an hour to move a muscle after I woke up. Oh, and I had been so chilled all weekend, I fell asleep with my electric heated throw over me but was so out of it I couldn't even wake up to turn it off. Was all set for a slumber party last night but surprised myself and slept from 11-7.

Barb, my sleeping pattern is usually more like yours. That is so tiring. I hope your tummy is getting all better by now. Wishing you some warm weather soon.
Debbie, get yourself a little nap. You sure work hard enough most of the time to have earned all the naps you want!
NCR, what exciting news! Your husband was just too thrilled to keep it inside, it seems. We'll be counting the months, weeks and days with you.
Rew, cute cat picture! Can't help but smile at that. I hope the weekend refreshed you for another week of kids and snow.

Guess I'll go sprinkle some bird seed on the snow. Those rascals are out there frantically looking around. They're not used to having their remnants from the previous day covered up with snow.

Hey everyone. Morning Rew, love the pic, cute!
    Congrats, NCR!!!
Barb, good cold morning to you. It's cold here too, but not as bad as you.
    OC, enjoy your snow.

Well, I arrived at work this morning to the fire alarm going off NON-STOP. It's a loud squealing with strobe lights. Everyone is walking around with plugs in their ears. Doesn't help a lot. It's been over an hour now! When they said they would be testing intermittently from 8 am - 3 pm, we didn't realize they meant the ENTIRE TIME! Make it stop!!!!

Good morning. It's a SNOW DAY today! School is cancelled and Annabelle woke up super excited about the snow. Gotta get a breakfast going and start the bundling up to get outside before it melts too much.

NCRPh, congrats and hope all goes smoothly. :)

Good morning. The sun is finally shining, but the temp is only 12*. That sounds like a heat wave compared to what Poirot has. Still feeling crumby, and stayed home again. I guess I over did it yesterday. Guess I'll make my circle from couch to bed to couch to bed......

I have blueberries to add to breakfast. Also grits with maple syrup.

@ rew - The kitty pic made me smile. Too cute.
@ NCRPh- CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! Yep, your hubby is really excited.
@ Poirot - I feel for you. I go through bouts of not sleeping well. Hope you feel better in the other department.
@ tropical breeze - I'll join you in another snooze. Looks like most, but not all of the old smiles appear when you click on the little arrow next to the one smile in the reply box. The hug isn't there, though.
@ OC - I know you loved seeing the grandkids even though they wore you out.
@ Oliviaunt - :rotfl: Sorry for your discomfort...... but that system probably cost big bucks, and somebody wants to get their money's worth.
@ Rocky - Have fun with the girls in the snow.

Kids usually love snow days. The radio this a.m. is talking a great deal about the lack of any "normal" amount of snow up in Duluth, over in Minneapolis, and what a very weird winter this has been. Frankly, it scares me, cuz I wonder if we will be overly hot this summer???

gotta say to have a fire alarm going non stop is cruel. And in fact, the workers should be allowed to leave the building, because.....truly, it is damaging to the ears.

Bless your heart, Oliviaunt. A fire alarm all day? That would me like Chinese water torture magnified by a million. I'd have to take a personal day to keep my sanity!

Thanks for all the congrats & well-wishes! You're all wonderful encouragers!

I have to agree with Barb that people ought to be allowed to leave the building. And like NCR, I might have to take a personal day. That really would be too,too much!
Rocky, your roads must have been worse than they were here. I don't think we had any ice, and the dirt road in front of our house was clear, even though the rest of the ground had snow. It's just about all gone now though. But I bet the kids loved having a snow day!
Golly, Squirrel, I was sure hoping you'd be feeling better, not worse, by today. Good thing you decided to take the day off.
I hope your concerns about a hot summer don't come true, Barb. It can go either way. Sometimes we have severe winters followed by severe summers or mild followed by mild. But you just can never tell. I think another summer like last summer in our area might do us in. Last summer was the worse ever on record, I believe.

Egads, I listened to that abominal fire alarm going off for poor Oliviaunt.....The entire staff should get hazard pay for today. or every single one call in sick tomorrow as they can no longer hear.

OMG. Best. Day. Ever. Despite still having shingles. :p But yeah, I am so excited. I can't even describe why I'm so excited... because it has to do with Star-Kidz's upcoming giveaway. Wooooo! (in case you were wondering, I am a staff member of the Star Kidz website.)
