Good morning everyone. I'm EXTREMELY nervous this morning. Didn't sleep at all last night. If you recall, I told you about my cousin who was estranged from the rest of the family due to the way she acted / treated her elderly parents when they each were incapable of caring for themselves. I first mentioned here about a year ago that she wanted to be friends on facebook. ( I called a big family powwow with a huge conference call to decide what should be done since it would open other family members to having their names seen. ) All went well with that because of little or no posts. Then we started playing a game as "friends". After all this time, she had an epiphany and wants to make up with the family. She's coming to my house around ten this morning to "apologize and ask forgiveness" since I'm the one that had the major dealings with her plus we were closer than I am with one of my sisters.

RS, I hope everything goes smoothly.

I've got blueberry muffins just out of the oven this morning. I was up until midnight cleaning and decorating for Annabelle's party. And now Ava's awake so I must go. Have a great weekend everyone. :)

Good luck Shirley! Remember...you can except her apology but you don't have to except her with open arms.

Good morning folks. Sunshine bright this a.m. which is blinding on the snow. Today is THE big international ski race, so far the radio is not covering it, thank goodness. But I know in an hour or two they will be cutting in with the news that some European biggie is coming down the finish line. LOL
Shirley....I understand your trepidation. You CAN "unfriend" anyone, you know. If it came to that.
Meanwhile, I guess I have some bill paying to tackle today, and other "catch up" stuff to work on.
Hope you all have a great day, and lots of fun, whatever it is. Even cleaning. LOLOL

Well, cousin just left. I felt like I wanted to be sick the whole time she was here. I went to the bakery early this morning so I could offer her something while she was here. I couldn't even take a bite.

She did a lot of talking about when we were kids, health problems, her grand kids, etc., but never once apologized / explained about her actions. In fact she acted like the last 20 years never happened. (It was so bad back then that she was being investigated for abusing / neglecting her dad who had alzheimer's, then took him out of the state and hid him........yep, I set the investigatiion in motion).

I better make a family conference call, and clue them in. I know I'll get yelled at because I didn't tell anyone that she asked to see me. Then I'll try to take a short nap. Tonight is the game dinner put on to benefit the fallen fire fighters in our area.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend.

Oh, Shirley, I'm so sorry. How stressful for you. And after saying she wanted to apologize, she never even mentioned it??? Sounds like she was hoping a nice friendly chat would just make it all go away. Too sad.

    Shirley,
Oh MY....I'm so sorry that she didn't apologize to you and the family. Sounds like a write off relative.and I have had a couple of those in the past. She sounds like she's been a horrid person and has nothing in her mind but excuses for her behavior. Unfriend her quickly if you haven't already.
Just put her out of your mind and have a good time tonight.:)

Good afternoon/evening. Our internet was down for most of the day. First time that's happened in awhile.

Shirley, I'm so sorry about your bad experience today. Sounds like this cousin is incapable of relating to anyone's feelings and needs other than her own.
HI, Newt. Oh to answer your question from the other day.....1300 a.
Hello, Myst. Lol about the cuss word. Your days off sure did pass by fast!
Barb, don't you wish bill paying could be something you could get done and it wouldn't need doing again? Ha ha.
Rew and Sunny, I hope you are having a great weekend.
Rocky, hope the party is/was great! I can't remember what time it was to happen.
Samigb, good to see you. I bet your planting season isn't too far away, at least for a few things.
    Lil0, hi there!

We had drizzling rain for most of the day. Only got just under half an inch but water is standing everywhere. It was cold today but we're to be in the 60s* all this coming week. These are wonderful conditions for growing grass!

I'm watching American Songbook on PBS. It's fun hearing about the old songs, learning their history and seeing clips of the original performances.

@O.C. That was on last night on PBS here. Watched it for a while, it was near the end when I caught it.
Ditzy me.......that stupid Cross country ski race is NEXT weekend. So I could have gone into town and done my stuff. Oh, well, I go tomorrow anyway to church. But a couple places are not open then.
Shirley, I truly hope you are enjoying the evening, and you have not yet done the conference call. You already had enough stress for the day. If I lived nearby, I would have grabbed my red hat, and trotted over, dragged you out for afternoon tea...even if I had to bring my own crumpets & scones. LOL
