Good morning everyone! Rachael & I slept in until 7....well, I got up at 5 & took a shower before Luke left for work at 6, then I laid back down until she got up at 7. Have a Dr's appt this afternoon at 4:15 for 1st prenatal visit. They should be able to tell me my due date. I think it's gonna be October 18, we'll see.

Rew & Noel--you should both definitely go back to bed....sWeEt DrEaMs!

Good morning everyone. I've been awake since around 4:30. Lots of errands to catch up with since I ended up not going out to do any of them yesterday. One more load of laundry to do yet.

    Good Morning Everyone!

Supervisor is back so now I'm back to just doing my stuff instead of both. Needless to say my desk need a little TLC, haha. Quarterly department meeting at 10 so I'm trying to get through basic e-mail and other things before then. Just started a baby blanket for my best friend who is expecting. She and her husband found out on Valentine's Day they are having a little boy!

@Rew: Enjoy your extra rest and day off today.
@Noel: I hope you can get some sleep before returning to work.
@NCRPh: Congratulations on the news of baby #2!
@Red: You snuck in! Have a good day!

Off I go to work! Happy Monday/President's Day Everyone!

I slept until 9 with the kitties. :) Heading to the gym and the shower, and then either shopping or yard work. Hmmm ... :D

This is one holiday when I don't miss my days as a newspaper reporter -- with 6 whole holidays a year -- one bit!

Good morning everybody. Boy am I late getting around! I woke up at 5:00 and thought I'd get up but then kept drifting back off to sleep until 8:00. Looks like a great variety of sleeping experiences this morning, some good, others frustrating. I hope all of you end up with a nice day though. We've got a warm and windy weather menu for this week.

    Gladrags, are you retired?
NCR, hope the appt. goes well.
JenLe, will the blanket be quilted or embroidered or what?
Squirrel, I hope you are feeling better after last week's illness and your stressful weekend.
Noel, maybe you are snoozing even now.
Rew, I bet you are off and running by now.

I guess washing up a few dishes would be a good place to begin so here I go.

@OC: It will be crocheted, I'm using light blue, green and yellow with some white to accent it.

Ooh, JenLe, that sounds so pretty. Someone crocheted one with those very same colors for my youngest son, when he was born. I love the homemade items. Not so many of them to be seen these days. Your friend is blessed to get a gift like this, and to have a friend like you who will put the time into it in today's busy world.

Good afternoon. No school today, but had a parent/teacher conference that I totally forgot about. Luckily the teacher sent me a text message and we were able to get dressed and get there during an open slot. Annabelle has cleared all the things they need to learn to be ready for kindergarten. :) I've got some laundry to fold, dishes to do and random cleaning now that Ava's napping. I hope everyone has a great day.

Good mornining and Happy Presidents Day everyone. Looks like most of you are having a fairly quiet day. Our day will be quiet too.
Visited with friends Saturday afternoon and went for Breakfast Sunday with some other friends, Mike, our Son and a friend were here when we got home. His friend is his Forman and he's getting Married in 3 wks. THey came to pick up some of the iron that Harry keeps for his Forge and Blacksmithing projects. Now that he's limited with what he can do he gave the Pile of large Iron and Steele to Mike and his friend and kept a small pile of the smaller pieces. Harry can now do small projects only and is lucky to be able to do those. I feel so bad for him as he's been the most active man I've ever known! He's finally willingly letting a few people help him with a few things. Thank Goodness..
It should be a nice slow day today and I;m looking forward to it!!
    hugs to all... Joanie

    I wish! LOL I'll be working until I'm 90.

Just not today. :) I'm a nonprofit fundraiser. My agency gives us 12 paid vacations a year, as opposed to 6 when I was a newspaper reporter. The news knows no holiday, LOL.

Gladrags, I wish everyone who wants to could retire when the age is right. But if you have to work, 12 vacation days sure sounds better than 6. I think any kind of news reporter work would also be very demanding and stressful.

Rocky, even if you had missed the conference, it's not as though Annabelle had big problems that needed discussing. Somehow I am not surprised that she has already aced the material.

Newt, I didn't know your husband was/is a blacksmith. That is so cool. (Well, actually not cool, since it is very HOT work, but I really admire anyone who has that kind of skill. My favorite poem in elementary school was "The Village Blacksmith." And I loved watching the blacksmith in our little community work when I was a kid. Too bad he didn't have a spreading chestnut tree though, just a tin (corrugated sheet metal) workshop.

Good afternoon everyone. Had a appt. at the clinic this a.m. for the finger blood check, and had arranged with my red hat group (tho not in red hats) for breakfast after. So it was a lovely "catching up" for us all, as it is hard to get together during the winter up here ....I mean, making plans in advance. So this was very, very last minute. Thought of this sat. evening....and called one gal, and the rest on Sunday. Worked out. Got up to 39 today, but they are talking snow tonite and tomorrw. We will see. I woke up around quarter to 5 and refused to get out of bed. Take that back, did go to bathroom, lol. But crawled back in. Did not sleep, but when I realized it was already nearly 6:30 and I was going to have to leave fairly early, got myself in gear. Glad some here got to sleep in.

I'm glad you got to have a little recreation break with your friends, Barb. I bet you'll be ready for sleep tonight!

Evening, everyone. Day off - did laundry, dishes, a little shopping, put gas in the car and. . . . . oh, yeah. I got another cat. I had been seeing her in PetSmart for a while and the last time I was there I decided that if she was still there when I went back that I would get her. Well, she was there and now she is mine. Her name is "Chloe" (it's what she came with) she is 3 and is black as night with big GREEN eyes. Azura is curious about her but Pandora is not happy. She's prowling around growling. I have Chloe closed up in the spare bedroom with her necessities for now and they can "conversate" through/under the door and decide, without hurting each other, if they can reach an agreement.
Now to tell the husband. Hmmm . . . . . our schedules are opposite this week. . . . . Do you think he'd notice a closed door? LOL

Hope you all had a wonderful day.
