Am surprised Sunny or Rew have not already been here, lol. Got to sleep almost an hour longer this a.m. Just might have turned the corner with my tummy problem, tho it is still here. Took advice and had some frozen yogurt last night. It seems to have helped a bit...we will see. Have to run into town today, so am gonna try and get some ....oh, shoot, forget the name of the pills, but I know you are advised to perhaps take them when you are on certain antibiotics.

    Morning all.
Day 3 of medication for shingles. My back really hurts this morning and my rash is starting to appear in other places on my shoulder blade. :( I was so tired last night but I wasn't able to go to bed until I was done with my discussion board stuff. I'm about to get a shower and today is a 9:30 class day. Unfortunately, we have a video assignment to do. Time to partner up with Kirsty the girl from Britain and she can carry the camera. She knows I have shingles so maybe she'll have pity on me.
I also have a counseling session today at 1pm (I love going to the counselor....I get to vent and rant and just TALK.) I also have to write my critique for my night class and study for the quiz today.

OH and I got my haircut yesterday. Whoohoo!!!

Good morning Poirot & everyone yet to check in. I'm home from work today with the flu. I came home a little early yesterday with chills, sweats, and dizziness. It went downhill from there. I'm sure glad I got my flu shot, because I wouldn't want to feel worse than I already do.

@ Poirot - My doc always has me eat yogurt (not the frozen stuff) since I'm on antibiotics so often. The one that works the best for me is Dannon's with fruit on the bottom.

@ tropical breeze - I got the shivers as I was reading about your broken ice maker. I hope the guy gets it fixed for you.

@ lily - Hope you feel better, and that the shingles meds start to work.

I've never gotten the flu and I've only ever gotten a flu shot once in my life. When I was about 9.

When you work with preschoolers and senior citizens in nursing homes/personal care homes, the flu is inevitable no matter what precautions you take. At least it doesn't seem as bad when I get the shot.

OMG! I was looking at my back and I suddenly had a flashback to a time a few years ago when my dad had this rash on his back and he had me put cortisone on it for him....I think that was shingles! Lol...I just texted him with this revelation because he never ever goes to the doctor. And since I know he didn't go to the doctor then, maybe it's why he's having so many back problems now. Nerve damage. Duh. Ugh, I know I didn't catch it from him (b/c I had chickenpox as a child) but ugh...ewww...gah! I'm so traumatized by that day! Lol...I haven't even put any kind of lotion on my OWN back because of how the rash feels.

lily, besides the oral meds, you need to use something topical to help soothe the rash part of shingles. If your doctor didn't give you an Rx, I'm sure that NCRPh can recommend one if she has time to check in today.

Morning all. Our "big" snow storm moved north of us and we only got a little rain. It did make things much colder sooner than they expected. Today it's sunny, but in the lower 30s. This weekend it's supposed to be in the 20s with wind chill. Well it is winter I suppose!

Barb, glad you are starting to feel better. Hope it continues.
TB, good luck with the ice maker.
Lily, hope the Shingles goes away soon. Hang in there.
Squirrely, feel better. The flu is miserable. BTW, got your message about Flat Stanley. I'll ask my SIL. Thanks.
Fran, good that your Dad is getting good care. Must be hard. Prayers.

I heard that Star Wars pt. 1 is playing this weekend in 3D, I may try to go see it. I would prefer pt. 4 (the original Star Wars), but beggers can't be choosers.

I should get to work. Have a good day all.

Good morning, Wow, some folks finally got in here. I was up from 3:00 to 6:30, then went back to sleep until 8:30. It was too early for everybody when I was up then. I don't have time to read right now. We're off to finish up some business we started yesterday. Will check in later. Everyone have a good day. It's overcast and in the 30s* here. Brrr. Chance of rain tonight.

Good morning everyone. I was grocery shopping and got a call to pick up Annabelle from school. She had gotten sick as they were leaving P.E. and going to Music class. I don't think scheduling P.E. right after breakfast is a good idea, but what do I know? So, she's home, most likely won't be sick again today. And now I have to unload the groceries from the car and get my chores done. At least Annabelle is well enough to play with Ava some so that will help me get some stuff done today. I hope everyone has a great day.
