Hi all!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Spent the weekend in Ohio, but it was strangely productive. As I may have mentioned, Lisa had her SUV totaled on January 2nd. The insurance companies are STILL futzing her around, but we went out Saturday and picked out a 2014 Honda Accord LX with only 28k miles on it.. Good price, so at least maybe we can go back to splitting the drive every two weeks rather than me driving to Ohio twice a month. :)

In other news, Boo, aka "Trouble", the aforementioned black kitten, doesn't have a sleep function and gets bored easily. Last night on arriving home, I filled her dish with kitten food. This morning, I woke up to discover that she is apparently a Socialist and decided to distribute the entire bowl of kitten food across the entire kitchen floor. About a hundred small, hard pieces of kitty kibble.

While kibble is not as bad as say "stepping on a Lego barefoot", it's still rather annoying. :)

Enjoy your day ladies and gents.

Good morning, all.

It is a sunny morning here. Yesterday we had muted sun, aka partly cloudy. But not today.

Walking to the office in a couple minutes. Yes, Monday is a work-at-home day.

Muzz - if you did the Falls walk, please post pictures. The website had great pictures. Was it that wonderful?

Hope all of you with real weather are doing okay.

Now off to another Monday.

Wayne we started at the same timeish.

Boo sounds like a "delightful" kitty. Mr. Gus likes to take a mouthful of kibble from the bowl in the tiled kitchen floor and then walk into the carpeted living room to dine. Provided he doesn't get distracted, this works out okay. Otherwise, it's wet dog kibble on your feet. Blech. Not sure if it is worse than hard kibble to have squishy kibble.

Good morning everyone,

Yesterday and today are both clear and sunny. When I woke up to go to work yesterday morning, it was only 15F, and only reached 40F for a high. Today is cold still but not as bad as yesterday. My sister is sick, so I'm babysitting her today while also doing homework. This geology class is a pain in the butt. I submitted an assignment after scanning it, only for the teacher to message me and say that Jpegs aren't accepted and it has to be converted.

I'm not sure how to do that---will wait for my parents to come home and help me with that later. In addition, I just haven't had the time (due to other coursework and my job) to even get a lot of that done. Will really have to buckle down in the coming weeks, I guess. Senior year is the year from hell, for sure! Nothing will ever top my first year of college.

Hope all of you have a nice day.

Good morning everyone!

Wayne, Boo sounds like a mischievous kitty.

JS, welcome to my world of weather. 75 one day and 35 the next. Typical winter, spring, and fall weather for here. Summer is the only consistent season with it being consistently hot and humid.

OC, you have a very wonderful niece to help you out so much.

robin, enjoy your work at home day.

Daysd, good luck with your last semester of school. Weirdly enough for me my last semester was my best semester.

I need to really get myself going. I have to start on laundry and then at 1 I have to meet my fiance at the apartment complex so we can get some paper work to get the water, sewage, and trash in our names. Also never get Charter cable internet because they treat you like a criminal just because the losers that lived somewhere before you can't pay their bills. Dominion Power was the easiest of the 3 to deal with. I set up everything with them in like 10 minutes. I just have to get them to change the start of service date to March 8th instead of the 10th but that's no big deal.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Good morning all, and the strange weather patterns continue, everywhere, I guess. We never got close to 50 yesterday, were lucky it got to 40, yet this a.m. it was already 44 at 7 a.m. and is now nearly 48. It rained during the night, is very overcast, the lake has nothing but water over the ice, making it look as though the ice melted, it hasn't yet. Misty & foggy, more rain tonight, so they say.

I really don't know how I get done with bookwork, only to find I am really NOT done, as more piled up. Ugh. Always 2 steps forward, 3 steps back. Ha.

Sorry about that ins. company, Wayne, I never had a problem with mine. Lisa must be so frustrated. Glad you guys were able to get her back on the road again! :)

Weddings sure do present more work than just picking a dress, and a church. LOL

Back to the salt mines......take care folks.

Peeking in for a short minute to catch up with all my friends.

Today is warm but tomorrow warmer. By the end of the week we are to reach 89 or 90F!

Quite a busy day in the nursery. These babes can really keep you on your 'tippy toes'. Wishing each of you a great Monday. I hope to check in again later and read all your posts.

Good morning. I was to pick up my mother for her hearing aid appointment this morning. When I got to her house, the stairway door was locked (again) even though she was expecting me. That scared me and I don't have keys to the main part of the house. My mother doesn't even have keys to the house so I can make copies.

Well, she hadn't even gotten out of bed yet, said she didn't feel well, later said she didn't hear the alarm clock she had set. She couldn't find the phone number to the office where her appointment was (to cancel) and seemed quite confused. We got it all straightened out, but I'm worried. I swear, I'm going to have to take that door off the hinges. If I could afford it, I would have a locksmith fix all the door locks to use one key. I can't get this through to her. The neighbor has keys to her front door, yet she has not asked for copies. I honestly don't know what she is thinking.

Frustrated to say the least.

Robin, I gave up watering kibble years ago, after tiring of cleaning gag-worthy bowls. Ever after, I just kept the bowl full of dry product. None of the dogs got fat, nor had ribs showing. I reckon things would be different if an animal was having dental issues, though.

Wayne, Boo sounds a mischievous kitty.

I like your grammar usage. :)

I had the usual cereal/fruit breakfast today. The blueberries were probably the best I've ever had; they were well-traveled (from Chile.) I should make muffins, but probably won't.

A. Guy, thanks I fixed it but I think I like the original better:rotfl:

JS, my grandmother had one of those phones at her house. I remember playing with that thing for hours.

Poirot, turkeys are just really strange birds sometimes. Like that time one decided to chase my car.

Wayne, Lisa isn't dealing with Nationwide is she? Those jerks jerked my fiance around after he hit a deer.

Noel, those babies are lucky to have you helping them.

Hope everyone is enjoying their day!

A cloudy, warm day here. A good day to finish my mowing, but I'm not doing
that today.

JS, interesting story about you trying to get a phone.

Poirot, thanks for posting the video with the turkeys.

Wayne, my cat is messy with his dry food too. I keep that food in the garage
because of my dog. There's dry food all around his bowl. I need to sweep it.
Boo probably likes the smooth floor to bat her food around.

I hope everyone enjoys the rest of the day.

My area under tornado watch again along with parts of Oklahoma and Kansas.

OC, how's the weather where you are?

I hope every one stays safe tonight.

Sorry for the late reply. Mondays always get hectic.

Sorry about that ins. company, Wayne, I never had a problem with mine.
She has State Farm, which has been a total nightmare. Every time she calls them, she gets put in the pool and has to deal with a random stranger who has to research everything, every single time. I wouldn't put up with it.

The guy who hit her has Erie Insurance. So far they haven't really paid out a dime (2+ months) because the lady who slid into the back of him (after he hit Lisa) and Erie are still arguing over who's at fault. NOBODY seems to be in a hurry to accept that there is negligence at play here and Erie OWES Lisa big time for everything from the hospital visit to 2 months of nightmarish hell of being sans transportation. She has gotten by SOLELY on the fact that her mother has a spare car. Otherwise her insurance would have stopped paying their 80% (what the heck?) of the rental car after about 20 days.

Sorry, the whole situation flusters me because I would be on the phone all day, every day until they sent me enough to have at least put a sizable down payment on a replacement car. I don't expect them to buy her a new car, but she should AT LEAST come out even in my book and maybe a little something for the two months of BS and being without a car. So far, that hasn't happened.
