    Good Morning,

Wow, I feel blessed to start this thread 2 days in a row.

It's still raining, but I'm back at work. I guess huge storms blew through the area overnight, but I didn't hear the thunder or hail. I must have been really tired to miss all that.

Hope you all have a fabulous day!

We had storms throughout the night too, but I also slept through them. I'm surprised Queen Bee wasn't under the covers with me. Normally, the big bad storms are coming to kill her and the only safe place in the house is smooshed up against me. Apparently my mother isn't able to provide the same level of protection from her bedroom.

Another thankful Thursday for a new week end being one day closer!

As always it will be hot here today. This weekend we're predicted to reach 101F so I should be grateful for mid-90 temperatures today. I should be, but I am definitely not! My electric bill soared due to A/C use so early in the year. Tomorrow they install a new meter to "more accurately charge you for complete electrical usage". Oh, joy, more money to a company who throws it away on advertising to set your A/C unit on 94 to save money.

Manda: glad Gena is healthy again and you slept peacefully all night.

JS: good the storm was not destructive so as to wake Queen Bee's sleep.

    Take care everyone.

Hi all.......busy day for me, my daughters will be here today......3 trips to town this week, got a med I just do not want to take, as in order to take it, I have to stay away from all kinds of foods, and even my other meds are a problem, so the time spacing then becomes a problem as well.

Raining here, rained all night, will be doing so off and off all day. My girls who live in southern climes are not going to be happy with the 39° it is right now. LOL

    Talk later.

Poirot: enjoy your daughters' visit despite the gloomy weather! Hope your medication adjusts so as not to interfere with their visit.

Well, since I am not going to take it, won't be a problem! I tried to put a call in to my dr. office......twice yesterday, to no avail. So......will just wait.

Noel, I've been wondering why the power company, which is a for-profit business, has been sending me literature designed to shame me into using less electricity. I do have a hunch why.   I think that the stockholders should see to it that company managers are "made available, so that they can pursue other opportunities."

My mother had an appointment this morning and Queen Bee came into my office, which is unusual. She paced back and forth, giving me a death glare. I happened to look at the clock and realized she had missed her regular lunch time, so I fed her. Someone should probably call the proper animal authorities on me. My dog was literally close to death due to starvation, as she was 23 minutes beyond her regular lunch time.

And I swear, if dogs could talk, the first thing she'd do is tattle on me as soon as my mum gets home.

Good afternoon everyone. Yep, pouring her since last night, too. (My basement was still dry when I left home this morning!) Very warm and muggy today with the temps taking a nosedive tonight. Geez, thanks bunches, Poirot and Amanda. You really don't need to send your weather over to me. :)

School up north thhis morning was short due to so many kids being sick. I ended up back in the office early. I just finished a delicious Mexican lunch from the new restaurant across the street. Now, I'm ready for a pillow and blankey so I can take a nap.

Amanda - The dang thunder kept waking me up last night.

JS - I bet Queen Bee still pulls a poor pitiful me act with your Mom.

Noel - Sounds like your electric company wants to squeeze every penny out of you that they can.

Poirot - Have a wonderful visit with your daughters. Good luck finding a medicine that doesn't cause a problem.

    A. Guy - The federal government mandates those "save power" leaflets be sent out since the previous President tried to shut down all of the coal fed power plants. Yep, cut down more trees instead to print the leaflets.

This is soooo weird!! I'm seeing little "marks" that at first I thought were bugs or dirt on my screen. Nope. They're actually on the Spectator.

There are two in the space between post #2 (JS) and post #3 (Noel).
Then two more in the space between post #7 (A Guy) and post #8 (JS).

Just adding to say that there is now one of those marks in the space where the thread date and title are. Weird, weird, weird.

RS good news your basement is dry in the rain. Poirot and Manda are much too generous with their weather aren't they? Enjoy naptime after your great lunch. Sounds like a plan to me.:)

Darn. I don't think my bosses would actually like me taking a nap. Especially since my desk is so out in the open.

She totally did, to the point that mum didn't think I fed her. I came downstairs just as she was about to feed the Queen, again. Busted!

The easiest one to spot is in the space between the post "squares" above the A in Another in your post #3, Noel.

Two are in the space above JS's post #8 and below A. Guy's post #7. One mark is above the M in My, and the other is above the e in office (the first sentence of JS' post.)

Very strange. I see them when looking at Donuts on my work laptop, my cell phone, and my Kindle Fire. They're still there even when I refresh or leave the Spectator altogether. I don't see them on any other Spectators forum or thread.

Still nothing on my computer and I closed my browser, re-opened it and bought up the Spectator site.

I even switched laptops and still don't see any marks.
