7/14/17 - Donuts and Birthday Cake

Good Morning,

Happy Birthday Mtnmom!!

The weather has definitely cooled off today. I think Poirot's 50's swung south to my area. It's very refreshing after the heat and humidity. Sadly (for me anyway) the heat wave will return tomorrow. Gena was super excited last night as hubby took her out into our pool to swim, while I made dinner. I didn't get much Vacation Bible School planning done yesterday, but I did manage to put in some more applications for hubby, and took care of some other things I'd been neglecting.

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning. I tried to comment on everybody's doings late yesterday, after a long day, but I kept getting interrupted and finally gave up. I went to the city (65 mi.) to a specialist about a nagging concern I've had for over six months. His diagnosis was reassuring and it was a relief he didn't recommend further tests.

A. Guy, here's hoping all goes smoothly for you today. Please update us when you are able.

Noel, wishing good and rapid healing for you.

Happy birthday to mtnmom.

Manda, enjoy your one day of nicer temperatures while you can.

J.S., seems like pets are not so different from small children. They behave better when someone else does things with them than they do with their parents. A wise lady once told me about kids--the ones who are a lot of trouble at home are usually well behaved when away from home, while the ones who are easy at home are the trouble makers elsewhere. I don't know how true that is in generalities but it was true of my two at that time.

Another typical summer day here. It will get to 97*, sunny and not much wind. I have to deal with the husband's tv/hearing aid device. The box that streams sound through to his hearing aid has quit working and I have no idea why. I'll start with a call to the hearing aid place. When his system doesn't work, he has to watch my tv so I'm motivated to get it going.

Morning all.

Quiet night last night. 20% chance of storms tonight, which will happen because I'm flying out to Sacramento for a 30 hour visit. So OF COURSE it will be storming tonight, right?? We are to drop temps next week, which I will believe when I see it. It should be in the low 100's. But really, anything below 108 would be nice for a day or two about now.

Mr. Gus is a pain at home and maintains that standard when out visiting. But since he is a senior, I guess it's too late now to change him...

It's Friday, onward.

Good morning, folks. Happy Birthday to MtnMom......Nice day today, yesterday never reached 60......but is already 68, nice breeze, sunshine....to get to 75. warmer weather is always lovely, but not the bugs that come along with it, whether flying or crawling, seems they all make you itch or just annoy by flying close to face/head.

Trying to get things done, not seeming to make much headway.......ugh.

Good morning everyone. Happy Birthday Mtnmom!

It's a rainy day here in the upper 70sF. A nice break from the heat, for sure, but I'm dreading the coming increase in humidity and bugs that will appear after the rain stops.

I tried doing the next lab last night, stayed up late and did some of it. But I couldn't finish---a lot of math in there that I just don't understand, especially with my math learning disability. Making things more frustrating was the fact that there was nothing in the textbook for the class that explained how to do that lab, and one of the diagrams that was supposed to come with the lab packet was missing, so I had to look extra hard--mostly unsuccessfully--to find a similar diagram to answer certain questions for it. I may just wing it today, and if I fail just one (out of a total of 11), I won't be too upset.

My legs are very sore from the other day at the gym. I also ran last night, which maybe wasn't such a good decision given that I'd done a ton of squats the day before, but I wanted to burn off some carbs I'd gained from eating a pita. Tonight I'm going to the Ab Blast workout class at the gym.

Hope all of you have a nice day.

Another hot one here but our humidity is only 18%! I'm sure most of you are laughing at that one!

Thank goodness it's Friday. I'm so done with this week!

Happy Birthday Mtnmom!

I hope Noel is recovering pain free.

Have a great day.

Happy Birthday, Mtnmom.

It's been cloudy all day and only in the 80s. I'll be going out later to water my
flowerbed since today's rain is coming tonight.

A Guy and Noel, I hope both of your are recovering from your procedures.

OC, I'm glad the doctor doesn't need you to do further testing. I hope you got
your hubby's hearing devices working.

I hope everyone has a good rest of the day.

Just another update/prayer request. At 2am I collapsed, fell into bathroom tub. A huge arm hematoma and two head ones. Thank God it was my right side so eye cup protected cataract surgery. Blood pressure over 217/175 all day and meds not lowering. Please pray for my family as this is so hard on them. This is absolutely not how my recovery period was to begin. Life!

Noel, girl you need to be more careful.

Remember what I said about weather??? My flight is delayed 90 minutes I'm trying stand by on an earlier flight.

I have several small jars of dad that I am taking to his final resting places. That set off the alarms. When asked what the powder was, I replied, "my dad." TSA almost dropped him All jars were checked and all verified to be safe to travel.

Have a good weekend.
