So far, there's no news on how they are going to end Kate Mansi's (Abby) run and what will be the future of Abby. We just have to wait and see.
 
I'm just going to add that there was a casting call not too long ago that sounded like Abby but there has been no confirmation of this. I'm not sure where I saw that on the board here but it's somewhere. But again, as of right now we just do not know what the plans are and until we get word from the show, everything else is just speculation.
