SPOILER !! Actor out

I never did understand the point of this character. I guess they tried with the connections to Daniel and Summer (sort of) and it's always nice to have another doctor around but he really had no meaningful place in Salem. And this stuff lately with Kayla has just been awful. I wish him the best but not a good fit at Days.

Bye, Fynn. Don't let the door hit you on the way out. No offense, but this character was just as pointless as Lani and Summer were.

If University Hospital needs more doctors, I can think of others to come on to fill that role. Paging Drs. Mike Horton, Craig Wesley, and Neil Curtis.

The problem with Fynn was he really had no purpose, none whatsoever. If Days was promising a role on Days to those contest promoters, they should have had something definite in mind. But he came on...no story, no real connection to anyone, no involvement. So he was a doctor...heck, could have been any one of the ones who are background and have occasional lines. We see them all the time at the hospital.

No one needed a particular operation or treatment in which he perhaps could have been a specialist. heck, he could easily have been the bartender to the club and had more interaction with Salemites.

I do give the show credit for keeping him on, trying to find a place for him (am thinking that because they killed off Daniel, they needed at least one other doc at the hospital who was master of all things. ) But, to me, it just has not worked out.

All I can say is thank goodness. This definitely is a pointless shoved down our throats character. It might've been different if Days had given more thought to his role before bringing him on screen. Five months filming lead time wasn't enough time to make this an interesting and well liked character.

Since he got onto Days as a contest-winner, it's not surprising that he'll soon leave Salem. If memory serves, a young woman who also got a part as the result of a contest was gone in a flash. As for the Fynn character, as others have said, it left a lot to be desired. He never interacted with the other characters in a meaningful way and mainly served as a prop when leading Salemites were injured or stricken with a deadly disease. The only downside to his departure is that there won't be any opportunity for "Dr. Dingo" jokes. And if TPTB are looking for a replacement doctor, in addition to Jen67's suggestions, how about Dr. Baker? His interactions with Hope and Nicole might prove to be interesting.

I didn't mind him but I agree that he served no purpose whatsoever. I'm thinking he was originally brought on with the intent of being a cheap replacement for Shawn Christian (Daniel) but that didn't seem to pan out either. It would have been interesting to see him tested with Jeannie Theresa. Oh well. Best of luck to him.

Hmmm, and does he get talked into coming into Salem Hospital? If he begins taping in August, that means being seen in January/February. Long way off, for sure.

If he hides the fact he is a Dr., wonder what is it that gets him to admit or show that he actually is one. ???

Fynn has decided to stay in L.A. for a bit, gave Kayla the keys to his car. Does this mean he decides to stay in L.A.& not return to Salem.......thus Fynn is NOW already gone???? Or????
