It's never okay to kiss your brother in law. But Carrie is no hag in my book. She is a woman who made a big mistake and let an attraction (that in itself not a crime) go too far! I don't know if the writers are planning to revisit/explore Carrie and Rafe when everything comes about about Sami and EJ so I can't say for certain if Carrie has actual feelings for Rafe. She seemd pretty over the moon happy that Austin forgave her (regardless of his reasons). Everyone in this foursome has cheated, reactionary, grief stricken or otherwise.

While i agree with you my problem is that she is ALWAYS written as the goody goody while Sami is always the flawed bad one who gets lambasted while what Carrie does ie lusting after others who are not Austin, but later cheats on gets excused ie Marlena saying her "feelings for Rafe are normal". While she can't help the attraction, Rafe is hot she knows that Sami loves him but relentlessly set her sights on him since they met even trying to bad mouth Sami to him which didn't work in her favour. So I am pretty sure that Carrie's feelings for Rafe are stronger than his for her because that IMO was the purpose of the kiss flashback where she denied liking Rafe to Sami but the flashback to me showed that she lied and does have feelings after all she admited as much to Marlena. I also realize all the bad stuff Sami did to her in the past but that does not make her actions excusable because not only is she hurting her sister who she claims to love but her husband who has been nothing but attentive to her until he found out about the kiss where he retaliated by kissing Abby. So I agree they are all in the wrong but the powers that be are favouring Carrie more than Sami here. Granted she did engage in disgusting notsodeadbaby sex but Carrie doesn't kmow that yet. Again though it does not lessen what Carrie did beyond the kissing but the office flirting and parading half naked around. All of this is being done for another endless sister feud and I am dreading it. All of them need to grow up and start acting like the 30 somethings they are. Also because they are predictable the writers will go there with Carrie and Rafe just look at the newest Rafe spoiler after he learns the truth and that will only be amplified once Carrie believes Abby's lie about Austin sleeping with her. So everything will be one huge geometric mess.

If you mean 'go out to dinner', she never has time lately no but if you mean 'do dinner' as in MAKE dinner they don't even have a kitchen. Not excusing her for having no time to go out to dinner with Austin but I think she wants Rafe frankly and feels ashamed of herself for wanting him. Carrie does have more morals than Sami (though this being Salem 90% of the residents don't have any).

Kissing your brother in law is not a "big mistake" it's a "major F-up". Carrie has proven herself a serial cheater. She's cheated at least 3 times. That is hag material right there.

Carrie HAS FEELINGS for a man that is not her husband and she acted on those feelings. If she is sorry, it's only because she got caught.
If Austin weren't so flummoxed about the Abby situation, he'd be as mad as Sami, and Carrie keeping him at arm's length would have more meaning to him.
