KathyLu: your poem just brought great big tears to my eyes! My father is in heaven, and I appreciate all the dads in my family. But most of all, I wish my heart understood how hard he worked, how giving and selfless he was, even when he said a no to my requests. Oh, my gosh, Sweet Violets......I swear I have never heard anyone mention that song outside my extensive family.....and not one played an instrument, but they all sure loved to sing when together, even if they had a tin ear, as they say. LOL
