Danger Will Robinson!!!

    I think that this information would be of mild to moderate importance to many of the people on this forum.

    I just found out that Dick Tufeld, the voice of the Robot from Lost in Space (also the narrator from LIS and other Irwin Allen shows) died at age 85 on January 22. I know that many of us grew up with that great/awful show, and that amazing voice and that Robot were unforgettable parts of our childhood.

    RIP Mr Tufeld.

    There is a second regret on my part. When I lived in Las Vegas in 2005-2006 (playing Avenue Q at the Wynn Hotel) I met a voice actor who knew Mr. Tufeld. He gave me the e mail address of Mr Tufeld's agent. I had considered contacting him and having Mr T do my cell phone and home phone voicemails. He charged $250 for 5 sentences--which--for the voice alone--was fine with me, but I never got around to calling him.
    Now I never will.

    That is the trouble, Dana. Many times we are like Scarlett O'Hara, who always was going to "think about it tomorrow"....and sadly, by then it is too late. I love that the guy actually would DO the voice over for someone's cell phone. Shows a great sense of humor. :)
