A powerhouse performance today between Will & Sami, definitely don’t miss scenes. First, tho, let’s get the “you can skip these” scenes out of the way. Mrs. Carlisle has come to employ Carrie & Rafe, as she feels the husband she dearly loves for so many years is cheating on her. She gives the duo a phone number she wrote down of a woman named Julia, who had called when her husband was out of the room. She did not want to answer his cell phone so just wrote the number. As the woman leaves, she notices Carrie’s wedding ring, and assumes Rafe is her husband. Nope, just partners. Carrie apologizes to Rafe after the woman is gone, Rafe thinks nothing of it. Now both whine a bit about their spouses, with Carrie wishing Austin was more like Rafe. He gets to work on the computer, finds the woman’s name, address & is about to take off to check. Oh, but Carrie has to tag along. Later they return, all giddy cuz Julia is a party planner, and the hubby was surprising his wife with a 30th anniversary party. They are joyful, cuz guess what, they are actually going to be paid. Yippee! Big Hug. Stares. And now BIG KISS, and I do mean big!

Nicole is questioning EJ about why he is fawning over Will, lavishing sports cars and apartments on him. EJ thinks Will would be useful, with all his family connections, who won’t even suspect that Will is doing stuff under EJ’s plan. Nicole still thinks Will has something on EJ, who denies it. She asks him to look her in the eye, and swear there is nothing. He swears, does so a few times, finally taking her face in his hands, voice dripping with sincerity, as he quietly says, I swear, then kisses her. O.K. replies Nicole.

And let’s hop over to Horton Town Square, the perfect venue for a political debate. Don’t they all occur in malls? LOL. Nicole & EJ arrive, all super confident, knowing they will reign supreme. Earlier, Abe was wishing he did not have the questions, hates sinking to EJ’s level, but agrees with Jennifer that EJ already began this, by stealing his jobs program ideas. Lexie arrives (Horton house) and they all troop over to the Square. All decorated with red, white and blue balloons. EJ & Nicole know they will emerge victorious, and are grinning from ear to ear. They meet up with the moderator, the candidates take their places,…..and the fun begins. LOL
First question is to EJ about expanding the university, and he is clearly unprepared, stammers, hesitates, finally managing to get out a few words about having a commission to look into it all. Abe now smoothly talks of getting things done immediately, not via a commission, constructing new buildings, enlarging the campus, attracting more students, teachers, etc. and then encouraging them to remain here in Salem, thus creating the businesses, jobs & houses of the future. EJ is giving Nicole looks, she is not a happy camper. There is a break, they confer, wonder what the heck happened. The debate has resumed is now at the end, and EJ begins talking of moral issues with the present mayor, talks of indiscretions….Lexie is furious. But Abe calmly, and using EJ’s same words, talks of demeaning this race by getting personal, but his opposition has “indiscretions” in his life as well, both personal and in business. And if he wants to pursue this any further, Abe will be glad to give details. LOLOL. When the debate ends, EJ & Nicole confer again, EJ knows he did not do well, despite Nicole’s encouraging words. They figure Abe got the real questions, and gave them fake ones, especially when they see the Carvers and Jen embracing, laughing, etc. The lst internet poll results are in, and 67% think Abe won this debate. Nicole & EJ come over to congratulate, while Nicole, purring like a cat, says if she did not know better, she would think Abe had questions in advance. Jen asks if Nicole is hinting Abe was cheating. Not hinting. Accusing. And EJ chimes in asking Abe directly if he had the questions in advance.

And now over to the loft apartment where Sami & Will are facing off. These scenes are fantastic, everything you want them to be. The dialogue is spot on (thank you, Roger Schroeder). Sami keeps asking Will why he is so mad at her, what has she done. Will skirts around, not wanting to tell her why, just accusing her of ruining everything, thinking only of herself. She persists, both are several times on verge on tears, lips quivering. Sami tells him how much she loves him, he says she only loves herself, never cared about him. She talks of all the things they have gotten thru, worked thru, she knows she has made mistakes. Not mistakes, messes, ones I am always cleaning up, and I am tired of it. I have had to be the adult here while you went chasing after all your men.
Sami keeps pressuring Will, he keeps asking her why she doesn’t know, doesn’t suspect why he is angry….. until he finally cracks, yelling at her that she slept with EJ, he saw her. She starts to deny, “I don’t know what you think you saw”…and Will is right back at her. Don’t…..don’t lie. While everyone was out searching for Johnny, you had to go have sex with EJ. I SAW YOU. That is why we could not find you. \
Uh, oh, the jig is up, and Sami knows it. She tries making excuses about her grief, but Will isn’t having any of it. He tells her what she did with EJ was disgusting, it was filthy, and she is nothing but a whore. She was destroying the only family he has ever had. (I don’t think there is anything on a Days board anywhere that Will doesn’t say, plus more)
Sami is still trying to make excuses, but now the raging Will tells her she should know how he feels, being she talks of going thru this herself. Oh, Sami now claims that was different, it was not the same…..and Will interrupts, yes…because Gramma LOVED John. You don’t love anyone but yourself, I want you out of my life.
Now Sami wonders why Will is working for EJ, he must hate him, too. Oh, he does. In fact he went to EJ, told him he knew what had happened, and he wanted to leave town, so he would never have to see his mother again. But EJ gave him a way to stay in Salem, but still not see her. He talks of how she betrayed the family, betrayed Rafe. She asks if he is going to tell Rafe, he says no, but not for her. But because he loves his brother and sisters, and doesn’t want them to miss out on the family life that he did. Will picks up his bags, starts to leave, Sami tries to grab him to “wait a minute”, and Will angrily PUSHES her away, onto the sofa, saying, “don’t touch me”, as he goes out the door.

Will is wandering in the Square, just outside the Pub, spots Sonny’s 2 friends inside, decides to go in and join them. They are glad to see him, he hasn’t been around. Will claims his intern job has kept him busy, asks if they are just hanging out. They say yeah, and in fact, are going to a party, and he should come. Will grins, sure, he is free now.

Sami tearfully hugsa picture of her & Will, puts it down, suddenly looking determined, grabs her keys and purse, and out the door. Next, she is outside the door of Reed-Hernandez, pausing for a couple of seconds. She gathers herself together, opens the door, and …there is her husband and her sister, in a VERY passionate kiss.
