Ahhh, interesting show, with only few moments where I would have wanted to perhaps skip thru a bit. Will arrives at DiMansion, per EJ’s bidding, to be told he was to bring Sydney over for a little birthday party. Seems Sami is still ticked at EJ for hiring Will, so did not invite him to the party. Will thinks that is just perhaps one reason, there being something else. EJ avoids replying, insists. Will declines, his mom would be wayyy too upset. Ah, but that is the idea, purrs EJ.

Jen & Abe are going over debate questions, with Abe being uneasy about this switching they are going to do, as it seems like cheating. Jen assures him EJ has already cheated, they are just evening the playing field. Abe agrees EJ just cannot get control of the city, given what he has already shown to be capable of doing. In comes Lexie (they are at the Horton house) with news of being invited to DiMansion for the birthday party. She is upset, but we can see Jen’s brain working feverishly at the news. She suggests they go, Lexie talks of not wanting to harm the relationship between Theo & Sydney, and Abe then agrees the cousins’ matter most. So, all 3 will be going.
Back at DiMansion, the study has balloons all over, EJ & Nicole come in with wrapped gifts, and a tray of food. Nicole hopes Sydney still likes peanut butter & banana sandwiches. (LOLOL, Elvis Presley’s fav food, hahaha). She is all excited, still loves Sydney like her own, she is growing so fast. In comes Will with Sydney, who calls out, “Daddy”. He picks her up, Nicole does a few high fives with her, and let the party begin. Lexie, Abe & Jen arrive, with Lexie muttering to EJ she is only there for Theo & Sydney.
Jen & Abe are surprised to see Will, who claims he is the gobetween for the two families, but finally admits he works for EJ. Abe & Jen are appalled, why did he not come to them. Will claims they were already fully staffed, but Abe insists they would have made room, and it is not too late. Will refuses. EJ remembers he forgot his camera, goes to get it, doorbell rings. Jen knows it is the advance questions for EJ from the debate moderator. Nicole answers the door, slips the envelope into a side table in the foyer, Jen watched. (Had to laugh at Jen & Abe doing their best NCIS impressions with looks, slight nods, etc. )Nicole returns, as does EJ with the camera. Abe slips out , opens the drawer of the table, takes out the envelope, exchanges the papers. With the envelope still in his hand, EJ comes out behind him, asking what he is doing. Abe freezes.

And now for the idiocy part. Carrie comes into the office, finding Rafe with a desk crammed with feathers, fake diamonds, glue, and tiara bases. He is not having much success making these for Sydney’s party, which will be held later at the Pub. Seems Sami had a last minute meeting in Chicago with Kate, and will be back later. Carrie offers to help, and makes a pretty decent tiara, pink boa material, shiny silver, etc. They have to make several, and finally finish. Rafe gets a call, which upsets him. We don’t know what it is…but next we see Kayla greeting Rafe & Carrie, all dressed up a fairy tale prince & princess. Seems the actors hired could not make it. Carrie asks Kayla to adjust her snood, a sort of knitted fabric which hold her hair in place. Seems Sydney’s fav. TV show is some fairy tale with Prince Carson & Princess Melinda (Think Disney here, Snow White & Prince Charming). Seems Kayla’s Joey watches that show, so Kayla insists they have to do the dance done at the end of every show. Ballroom waltz. Rafe & Carrie deny knowing how, Kayla shows them, then takes pic, etc. The music plays, the couple dances. Kayla gets a text from the sitter (you mean Joey is not upstairs???) and has to leave, he is sick. Rafe & Carrie decide to practice more. (folks they are not too bad, but honestly, would be rejected by Dancing With the Stars, lol). They waltz a bit, including a dip, and then Carrie stumbles, he catches her….a “look” is exchanged.

More FF material. Abby walks into Austin’s office, declares her love for him, even tho he is older and married. She wants to know if there is a slight chance for her. Austin is silent, comes out from behind his desk, listening. He lifts her chin, bends down and kisses her. She stands up, passionate kissing….and suddenly, Austin’s voice snaps Abby out of her daydream. (this is getting toooo old, already). She came to tell him about working for Madison as a model, no she is not quitting her job with him. Talks of going to Europe, and how she used to live there, has friends. Austin asks if her mom approves. She doesn’t need her parent’s permission. Ooops, Austin is sorry. He still think of her as Jack & Jen’s little girl, and should realize she is in college and all grown up now. She assures him she is more mature than he thinks.

And can the day be complete without some time in Horton Town Square, where Bo & Hope are meeting with Stefano once again. Hope is determined to open that box, and will ignore Stefano’s little mind games. They play cat and mouse a bit, with Stefano continually referring to secrets Alice did not want her to know. Hope doesn’t fall for it this time, Stefano calls her his little art thief, and Hope’s blood boils. Don’t you ever call me that or refer to that time. You are not going to play mind games or control me ever again. Stefano then says something about perhaps not wanting to know the secrets that box contains, and Hope realizes there is more than one. After a lot of back & forth, Stefano style, he tells the tale. When Alice helped save EJ’s life, he felt indebted to her, went to thank her, wanted to do something. Alice wanted nothing to do with him. Thus he gave her the card, his IOU per se. She never redeemed it, but did keep it.
Several years later he went to see her again. She did not have much use for him, but he had come across some info that he knew Alice would not want to get out about the Horton family. He figured he could cancel his debt by promising not to reveal it. However, Alice had learned something about him (or his family) and thus came up with the solution for them both. Each would keep their knowledge to themselves, their info would be in separate envelopes, put into the safety deposit box, with the instructions that it could not be opened unless both were there. When she died, he thought that was the end of it. Til now. Hope insists they get on with it.
Stefano asks if she is sure she doesn’t want the secrets to stay asleep, or does she really want to waken the beast.

Carrie continually is looking too self-satisfield. And if the actors could not make it, and Carrie agreed to fill in, why not call Austin, and at least ask him??? (I understand Sami is out of town, and it would be too late by the time she returns to get costume, etc.) But no reason Austin could not have at least been asked!

Actually, those two are the ones I imagined doing it, too.

That is what I think.....that it was the "proof". Stefano did say he did not know what info Alice had and she did not know what he had.
