Days of our Lives
Friday, March 27, 2015

Jennifer claims not to know what Daniel is talking about, he knows she certainly does, tells her he knows all about JJ & Eve, and so does she. He goes on about Paige thinking the jacket belonged to him, yada, yada. We can tell Daniel though, is under the impression it was just that one time. Jennifer refuses to talk, tells him he is wrong, goes to leave, opens the door, and....yes, Days' favorite ploy is used once again. Nicole is standing there. Jen ushers her in, she was just leaving. Dan says no, tells Nicole to leave, ushers her out. But, she eavesdrops as Daniel tells Jen he still cares about her and her family a great deal, only wants to help. Jen tells him more to less to leave them all alone, and out she goes. Nicole has moved away from the door, but rushes in, wanting to talk to Daniel, who gets a call, has to rush out, ignoring her.

Meanwhile, JJ is with Paige in the park, they decide to go to his house, she tells him all about her conversation with Daniel (in re: thinking he had slept with her mother). JJ is visibly affected, Paige has to go scrub up for the Dr. Crowly endoscopy observing, and dashes off. JJ looks sad, pensive, actually seemed he almost was going to tell Paige the truth. Jen returns, JJ tells her that Daniel knows everything, Jen says not to worry about it, he won't say a thing.

Eve has met up with Cole, drags him back to her apt., insults him a bit, but indicates she wants to help him with Paige, will call him when she comes up with a plan. He leaves, Theresa arrives, babbles all about Melanie being jealous, Eve is indifferent, Theresa takes off. Paige arrives, Eve gushes, Paige tells her that she & JJ are definitely back together, in fact have a date tonight. Eve pretends to be happy for her, but you can see the wheels beginning to turn in that sick brain. (sorry, but this was so snoozeville)

Melanie is at work, remembering seeing Theresa's puncture wounds, wondering why Clint wants blood from both Theresa & Brady. Maxine comes by, Mel wants advice, takes her to a lounge, and in a round about way, stammers about learning something, it could hurt someone, who really is not a fan of hers. Maxine guesses she means Theresa, advises her to tell Brady, since Mel mentioned it all could be dragging Brady into the mess.
Brady has run into Theresa, who looks exactly like she is recovering from a hangover, but she snarks about Melanie coming over to rant at her about Brady, probably that text, but she won't say what it said, figures Mel deleted it. He leaves (this is the square) she grins, runs over to Eve's...see above. Brady goes home, Mel arrives, wants to tell him something, but he jumps on her about going to see Theresa, especially after he told her to stay away. The usual, don't let the other one speak conversation, while Melanie does her usual stammer, not talk, etc. Yawwnnnnn. Brady talks of having used Theresa to bypass Kristen, Mel thinks Theresa is still in love with him, Brady is still talking, mentions how Theresa thought she was pregnant, even had a positive pregnancy test. Mel flashes back to being with Nicole, learning Mandrake was a fertility specialist. She gasps, drops her glass which breaks. She blurts out... Oh, my God! Brady asks if she is o.k.?
Oh, yes, as Daniel comes rushing into the hospital, Nicole is already there, wanting again to talk, but Maxine comes rushing, needing him now, and they go off.

Will sits with friend Tad, who realizes something is off with Will & Sonny, finally figures Sonny cheated, Will denies that, and Tad realizes that when Will said it was all his fault, he was the one. Will doesn't want to talk about it, Tad gets a call from the club, Brenda is swamped, coffee machine broke down, Sonny isn't there. Tad will be right there, wonders about Sonny, she says well, if Paul Narita came in, I'd follow him out, too, not that it would do me much good. Tad is repeating, Will hears, gets upset and is taking off if Sonny is with Paul. Tad realizes Will's cheat was with Paul, asks about Ari, Will says she is with sitter, and off they go.

Theresa goes back to her apartment, calls Clint, leaves a message. She finally spots his note to her, awww, he left me a love note. She reads it aloud, "have to split, been fun". She gets very upset..what??? not again, he cannot do this to me again. She crumples up the note, is near tears.

Sonny & Paul are talking, Paul taking blame for seducing Will. Sonny doesn't believe him, makes Paul tell him what Will said. Paul repeats Will's assertion that why should Sonny marry him, if he could have Paul. Now the two guys talk about when they were together. Paul is going on and on how people fawned over him, got good tables in restaurants, free meals, women tossing their room keys on the table for him. Everyone telling him how good he was, yada, yada. One gets used to the hype, getting whatever they want, people being attracted by his celebrity. Even you, the first time we met, in 1/2 hour we were making out on the roof.
Sonny denies this, had no idea he was a well known ball player, and never cared how much money he had, or what he did for a living. Paul seems rather surprised. Sonny is saying he asked him to marry him because he loved him, could not imagine his life without him. Around the corner comes Will, sees the men....."You S.O.B.".

Nope, not a good show today. Between the annoying trio of Jennifer, Eve and Daniel, the endless filler of Clint, Melanie, Brady and Theresa, and the bratty William, nothing much to see here. I wish they would've shown the Kate/Victor/Stefano/Clyde/Chad stuff today, and Rafe as well.

Holy cow, I'm in a Salem time warp. My local NBC station is re-running LAST Friday's show! Nicole just finished up shaving Daniel; Paige & JJ are in the park babbling; Maggie, Jennifer and Parker are on a bench in HTS while Eve comes by and jabbers about Paige and her new beau, Cole.

Update: OK, after some commercials they're now showing the correct episode. That was weird.

He leaves (this is the square) she grins, runs over to Eve's...see above
That quote is from the first post but I am not sure what it refers to.

Today was pretty boring for a Friday.

The Jen - Dan thing is annoying because at first she begged him to be there for JJ and now she is pushing him away but he cares and does want to help. Jen needs to get a restraining order because he is not respecting her decision as a parent. Mind your own business Dan. No matter what you know, it is not your family so not your business.

Theresa and Brady were talking in the square, then Brady leaves and Theresa runs over to Eve's. Her interaction with Eve is described in the first part of the summary, which stated:

Theresa arrives, babbles all about Melanie being jealous, Eve is indifferent, Theresa takes off.

Sonny is not helping things by running off from Will and the club to be with Paul. Paul is playing both Will and Sonny trying to get the upper hand and be with Sonny. We all have seen the way Paul was flirting with both men and women. I may be in the minority by continuing to stand with Will and Sonny because Paul is up to something.

Dan has every right to be concerned about JJ since Jennifer asked for his help. This is no other father figure in JJ's life at the moment but Dan since Uncle Lucas is too involved with his own issues and family.

So Daniel can still care about Jen and her family and want to help them but heaven forbid Nicole feel the same way for Eric. And gosh, no better way to finally break me and make me completely swoon over Daniel than to have him completely dismissing Nicole.

I'm so weary of Sonny/Paul/Will and Brady/Melanie/Theresa. Although the plot progression sounds good today, I'm just so weary of it all.

Did Jennifer tell Daniel once again today to mind his own business? Will he listen? Will he for once live up to the same standards he expects of other people?

LOL, if it wasn't already apparent, I watch DAYS wearing my special "Daniel Jonas hate goggles"

LOL, had to dash off after posting the summary, so thank you to all who weighed in here. I do think Daniel was rude to Nicole, even if she did show up without calling. But then, she did text, call & leave messages. Although he said he has to talk to Jen alone, as he showed her the door, he could easily have said, we will talk later, promise. 5 words doesn/t take long.

By the way, this episode was also directed by Alison Sweeney.

Most of the conversations today were just dragged out entirely too llong, and the worse thing was, they barely said anything. Eve drags Cole to her apt. to talk privately, has a non-conversation. So do JJ & paige at the Horton house. Sonny & Paul kept repeating the same things. And Melanie, who even wants to listen, she stammers, giggles, is silent, and NOTHING happens.

Is it at all possible for Day to stop having characters drop or smash glassware.....and to end the stupid habit of opening a door to find another person there. Ugh.

Oh, yeah, forgot to mention the wonderful March weather in the mid-west. Tulips blooming in the park, lots of them. The women barelegged, short sleeved, and 6" heels. Amazing.

Poor Nicole is not having a good week. Yesterday, it was Marlena rudely barking: "What are you doing?" and today she shows up at all the wrong times and gets the brush-off from Dr. McScruffy. Speaking of the Love Doctor, this man is a glutton for punishment, jumping into the JJ-Eve-Jenny-Paige situation and telling Ms. Priss: "You are wrong about all of this." Anyone talking to Jen Jen like this has a death wish. Finally, once again T was a welcome breath of fresh air. The difference between his calm, mature, measured remarks and the blatherings of the impulsive, insecure brat boy was striking.

Paul said he and Sonny were making out 30 minutes after they first met. Does that mean Sonny is easy or is Paul just that charming lol.

Will to a very confused T: (paraphrasing) "Yeah, I slept with Paul, but Paul's in love with Sonny". :rotfl:

Will nor Sonny is working but Ari is with the sitter! And they've been making a big deal of Sonny losing all of the family's money, and how Will only agreed to the article because they needed the money because how else were they going to buy diapers and milk and pay the bills. But don't worry, they have a special fund set aside for unnecessary babysitting services so the dads can wander around town doing absolutely nothing.

Sonny was working. He just took a break to talk with Paul.
Paul is so putting a wedge between Will and Sonny. There is no way he could believe that telling Sonny how easy Will was and pretty much comparing Will to the groupies is going to help Sonny feel better about Will's cheating. I like that. Paul should try and go after Sonny instead of being passive. He loves him, he sees an opening and doing subtle manipulation.

I also don't think Paul truly believes that Sonny was a gold digger. He might have at the beginning of their relationship. What famous person wouldn't wonder. Paul told Will in their last scene that Sonny is not that kind of guy when Will was questioning Sonny just using him. If Paul truly believed that of Sonny, he wouldn't still be pursuing him now. I think that Paul was trying to get reaffirmation from Sonny about how much he loved him. Paul witnessing Sonny has moved on with another guy, staying devoted to him and seemingly happy until that guy cheated would make Paul question how serious Sonny was about him. If he is going to use this opening to try and get Sonny back, he would want to reaffirm that. It was also a way to make the conversation about them instead of just talking about Will and Sonny's relationship.

Well this was such a humdrum episode that I'm really having trouble coming up my usual witty and profound observations that I know everybody anxiously waits for hopefully Monday will be better.

The thing with Arianna being at the sitter's when a) Will is not working and b) usually does his writing at home when he is working was just dumb. Would it have killed the writers to have Will say "Rafe took her to visit Gabi" or maybe just "she's spending time with Rafe," instead of some nameless sitter that is not needed and doesn't make sense?

I wish they would just acknowledge that there's more family in Arianna's life then Will and Sonny or Grandpa Lucas. Is that too much ask is it?

Ooohhhh boy....so Paul thinks Sonny just wanted him for his fame/money. Yeesh....I guess I can kinda buy Paul's assumption there given his explanation and experience. The one thing that this tells me is that both Will and Paul have some self-esteem issues and perhaps Sonny needs to just run away from both of them as far as he can get.

Speaking of self-esteem issues, Nicole, can you please find your brain? I would much rather have seen her spending the episode chatting with Brady than barging in on Dr. Jerk and Miss Prissypants. Ugh....Wake me when this nonsense is over!

Since Victor wasn't on, I enjoyed Theresa's witty remark about Melanie being
a yipping Chihuahua :)

Yesterday, Daniel had his light bulb moment, today Melanie did.
Tad realized his mistake about Sonny and Will. The Salem brain is
making the rounds in Salem.

JJ had an interesting face when Paige talked to him about the jacket.
Who will be the next one in Salem to know about Eve and JJ?
Will it be Nicole?

Dan has every right to be concerned about JJ since Jennifer asked for his help. This is no other father figure in JJ's life at the moment but Dan since Uncle Lucas is too involved with his own issues and family.

The only reason Uncle Lucas is not the father figure in JJ's life is because these writers have no respect for the show's history and TPTB are obsessed with the character of Daniel Jonas. Heaven forbid Daniel not be involved with a storyline.

Kudos to you Poirot. I watched this on DVR and still have no idea what happened today.

I didn't care for any of today's characters except Sonny and Nicole.

Forgot to mention, I really was not impressed with the camera shots the last 2 days. Yesterday there was an entire scene where we were looking at a close up of Eric's back and today there were way too many close ups of characters' faces.

I know Alison Sweeney (Sami) has directed in the past and quite wonderfully at that but some of these shots were noticeably awkward. And I felt they distracted from the scene.
