Wish I would have had something soft to throw at the TV (I don’t want to break it, after all, but today was annoying, in more ways than one) Entirely too much time spent today with the indecision and waffling by Hope & Bo, then Stefano & Kate as to whether to open the envelopes. Been there, done that. Bo & Hope at the Horton house, (not even at the mall supporting Abe, lol) while over at DiMansion, Austin is visiting his mom, to the delight of Kate, who invites him & Carrie to dinner. Stefano is staring out the window, rather pensively, but finally joins in the conversation, talking of how when Carrie was little she ran around all these big rooms and Anthony just loved to watch her. Austin begs off dinner, Kate suggest lunch, he finally owns up to him & Carrie having problems, being unable to spend time together, yada, yada. Kate urges him, since he has this time off to go see his wife, surprise her with some romantic gesture. Austin leaves, and now Stefano broods about his envelope, Kate offers to open it, no, he has to do that himself. But she manages to get him to tell her what was in HIS envelope (tho we don’t hear). Kate promises to not breathe a word, tho Stefano says when Hope opens that envelope, it will become common knowledge. And she will, she is a detective, after all.

And then, let’s hop over to the Horton Town Square, where EJ is indignantly accusing Abe of cheating, having all the questions ahead of time, and warning Lexie, (who is denying left and right) that she should open her eyes, and see her faith has been misplaced, she is backing the wrong family.Abe is silent, Jen looking guilty, Nicole like the cat that swallowed the canary. Finally EJ & Nik go off, Lexie is furious, and surprised Abe did not say a word. Now she hesitates, DID Abe cheat. He wonders how she could ask him that. Lexie shakes herself, realizing her brother did all this purposely, and she fell for it. Abe assures her he did not cheat. Hugs. Jen still looking guilty. And over at their table, EJ and Nik laugh it up, at how he could sincerely accuse Abe of something they were trying to do themselves. Hahahaha, sez the twosome. Nicole notes Abe made 2 big mistakes. He got his hands dirty, and he lied to his wife. This means they can up their game even more, and Abe will definitely lose. Smiles, laughs, toasts as they happily clink glasses. Nicole tells EJ that if Lecie leaves Abe, it will bring her back into the family, something they all have wanted for a long time. EJ grins, he loves that idea, kisses Nicole.
Lexie has left to go pick up Theo (and if she doesn’t stop continually gushing about what an honest man her husband is, I am truly gonna be sick). Abe now tells Jen how awful he feels. She is sorry, this is her fault. He hates sinking down to EJ’s level. And then makes the grand statement…..how in all the years they have been together, he has never lied to Lexie, not once. And so, if she finds out about this, she will never forgive him. Never. (Bet you all can guess/see what seems to be coming, huh?)

And then, over to the Reed/Hernandez office, where we replay Friday’s scene, the giddy talk of winning their case, and hey, they get paid. Whoopee. And THE KISS. Outside, Sami stops a minute, straightens up, determinedly opens the door, and gets quite an eyeful. She clears her throat, the couple part. Ooops. Sami is throwing daggers, and if looks could kill, Carrie would be deader than a doornail. Sami wants to know what the hell is going on, both Carrie and Rafe are saying it is not what it looks like, but Sami declares she is not stupid. She rants at Carrie, who claims it was nothing, just a little kiss. Oh, yeah, not so little, you had your tongue down my husband’s throat. Rafe is quietly attempting to talk, but Sami really lets Carrie have it. Just because you are having trouble in your marriage, you had to go pick on me and mine. I am happily married, a home, 4 children, but you just cannot stand that. Carrie starts to bring up Austin and the past, but Sami refuses to let her go lthere. This is not about the past. This is about you going after MY husband. You were kissing MY husband. Uh, oh, there is Austin at the open door, and what did he just hear. Now Carrie pleads with him, she is sorry, it was nothing, meant nothing. Rafe suggests he & Sami go home to talk about this, & they leave. Carrie is promising it will never happen again, Austin seems almost on the verge of tears, reminding her of the vows, sacred vows they made. He knows she & Rafe are close, share a bond, getting John free was huge. He understands that. She is trying to explain about Mrs. Carlisle, doing a bad job of it. Austin tells her she crossed the line, she keeps asking him to believe her, he doesn’t know if he can. There is still one question. Doyou have feelings for Rafe?

Back at the Horton house, Hope has decided to open the envelope again. Nope, she once again changes her mind, wants a sign from Gran. Now she looks over at the mantle, sees a book of poetry she has not seen in years. (Is the Horton house haunted, I swear things just appear from no where). She grabs it, Grampa’s book, and out flutters a small piece of paper. Hope excitedly talks of how Alice would clip sayings from newspapers, and put them in that book, driving Tom bonkers, until she finally put them all in one box, all except this one. Oh, she has her sign. Thanks Gran. She shows the clipping to Bo, who reads “if not you, who? If not now, when?”. Yep, truly the sign. Hope opens the envelope, pulls out a single sheet of paper, her face nearly turns white at the shock of what she read. She drops it, sits down, her face bewildered. It can’t be. It just can’t be.

At the loft, Sami && Rafe come hom, she is giving him the silent treatment, he wants to talk of how they can fix this. Sami is staring at the picture of her & Rafe at the vow renewal. She doesn’t think it can be fixed. Rafe is indignant. Just a small mistake, we can get past this. Sami doesn’t think so, it is too late for that. She picks up the photo, staring at it, Rafe is pleading, she throws the photo against the door, telling him she wants him out. The glass shatters, lands on the floor. I want you out NOW. Get out!

If I had been Lexie, after all that EJ has said, done, tried to do....the minute he opened his mouth, he would have gotten perhaps a "don't you wish" and then WALKED AWAY. Why the blazes did she stand there listening to EJ with his lies after lies. She KNOWS what he does, what he has done. The minute she told him he was a sore loser was the perfect moment. Ugh.
