Ben is asleep, dreaming of killing Serena. Yes, we see it. He wakes with a start, is up, walks around, and then has flashbacks of killing Paige. Aloud he says Chad did this. When Abby comes home, he is at the window, where evidently a neon sign blinks below, casting different color lights on his face. He asks where she was, she says at her mom's, she told him she was going there to tell her about moving. Ben lets her know that he decided to stay in Salem, she is happy and grateful. Hugs.
Aiden is telling Hope he made some really bad investments, is deeply in debt, that it went o.k. at first, but then he borrowed money, and eventually from shady people who are impatient. She gets very upset, talks of the trust, honesty issues, but eventually calls her bank, gets money put into her account, writes Aiden a check for $100,000 which he says is all he needs, he can cover the rest. (he has told her of the guy watching and talking to Chase) She pointedly asks if any other secrets, he says no, that is all. Later, Aiden meets the goon, gives him an envelope with the check, the goon says are you kidding? Your debt has already been paid in full. Aiden is shocked, but returns to Hope saying it is all taken care of. He then is sitting alone, saying he still has all this money, gets a text from Stefano. Have another business deal, contact me.
Gotta get this part out of the way. Steve is at the monastery, it is dark, he has a flashlight, has found the cell where Bo was kept. He looks around, sees shackles, etc., then notices the place in the wall where Bo hid the pills. He digs them out, calling someone to ask how fast they can do a DNA test. Meanwhile, Bo is shirtless, on a gurney, wheeled into some room, lots of electric, we see him getting shocks, later 2 guys come in, talking of how this guy is a hard one to crack, so the boss is going to up the pain level. They leave, Bo (still in that Hannibal Lector thing on his face) struggles a bit, he is strapped down, but looking for a way to get loose.
Abby comes to see Chad, wearing the Salem disguise, baseball cap, dark jacket, but bringing food, can opener. He tells her she cannot do this, she has to stay away, and she is going to leave town with Ben tomorrow, so, they say goodbye. He thanks her a lot, will never forget what she has done for him.
Rafe is down at the docks, the cops had a tip Chad was seen, but no dice. He finds a locket, with Jen & JJ's pictures in it, figures it must be Abby's. He goes to see Abby, Ben is there, but leaves to do errands. Instead, outside the door, he listens via the peephole in the door, as Rafe shows Abby the locket he found. She thanks him, says she was on the docks for a walk after an argument with Ben, just to clear her head. No, she has not seen Chad, yes, she knows of the APB on him. Rafe takes his leave, Ben comes in, she only says Rafe had some questions about Chad. She is tired, isn't feeling all that well, going to go lay down, takes off her jacket, slowly walks to the bedroom, laying her locket on a table as she walks past it.
Roman comes to see Jennifer, JJ has not checked in. He is not happy. Jen clams up, only saying JJ is in a bad place, Paige's death, etc. Roman understands, thinks something is going on, Jen is keeping something back. She is tightlipped, Roman persists, JJ comes in. Roman starts in on him, but JJ tells him that Kyle is missing, he is unable to contact him, so he is of no use to the case now, and he is out. Roman asks if he found out Kyle's boss, No, replies JJ. Roman will tell Agent Watts, still thinks there is something JJ & Jen are not telling him, but leaves.
The two now whisper, Jen saying she said nothing, but telling JJ how Clyde came there, pretending to want to help with the wedding, but the conversation was very strange. JJ says Clyde is so paranoid, he has probably planted a bug, begins searching the room, eventually finding the one Eve planted on the mantel. He is babbling, but Jen remembers how they could not figure out Eve knew JJ was undercover, thought she must have overheard them talking, that she probably did this, not Clyde. This causes JJ to stop and reflect a bit. He tells his mom that Clyde won't touch Abby, but he will/would come after Jennifer, and especially JJ. They have to assume he knows it all, and they are not safe.
Chad is writing down what he remembers the night he was drunk. Does remember a fight with someone. He is talking aloud, writing it down, trying to remember why they were fighting. He remembers the guy had a filthy jacket, cannot remember his face. But he suddenly remembers Rafe saying Serena's time of death was 2:45 a.m., then the bum asking him for the time, him looking at his watch, it was 2:35 a.m. The guy tried to take his watch, they fought. So, Chad figures there was no way he could get over to the woods in 10 minutes to kill Serena. He has to find that bum, probably hangs out on the docks. Chad begins looking thru some old clothes that are hanging in the shack.
When Abby goes to bed, Ben takes out his tablet, opens it to the picture of Chad with the news article about the cops looking for him. Damn you Chad, you're going to pay for what you made me do.
