Replays of all the ending scenes from yesterday. And to carry on, Eve & JJ argue about Paige, JJ, Eve,JJ, same ol. JJ though, wants to know what Eve is going to do about Cole, who is a thug and loser. Eve pretends that only JJ is the problem, and he is just jealous that Paige is seeing someone else. JJ takes off, while Eve goes rushing over to the college, spots Paige talking to Cole. (he had thanked her for lending her notes for some class, owes her a favor, she starts talking about wanting to check JJ's texting on his phone, changes her mind - sorry, this is all so ridiculous). Eve starts giving Paige a hard time about Cole, but Paige has had enough of her mother interfering in her life, trying to run her life, tells her to butt out, she is an adult, will make her own decisions and make her own mistakes. Eve does the doting mommy thing, Paige tells her that it is all her fault JJ slept with someone else, jabbers about how Eve lied about grampa being so sick to keep her out there in CA, she told JJ she would not be returning, and he moved on. If Eve had not lied and interfered, never would have happened. She tells her mother to stop coming to the school, parents do not come to the student lounge.

Earlier, Theresa was repeating her advice about getting JJ's phone, Paige was hesitant, Theresa goes on and on about finding out, walks off. And next she runs into JJ, and proceeds to give him a hard time. Hurting Paige, sleeping around, she is on a roll. Cole spots them, watches a bit. Theresa goes on an on about JJ pretending to be such a good guy, making everyone think Theresa is the one who got him down the wrong path. She admits that for someone in high school, he was different, more mature, but now he is just sleazy. He is done with this conversation, leaves, Cole follows.

Anne has come in with some papers for Jordan, mentions how Jordan has a board member in her back pocket, one who got into a brawl with her brother. She goes on about squelching the hospital gossip (did not understand all this) or feeding it.

Meanwhile, Chad is doing his very best to apologize to Ben, and to Abby, since she overheard him repeat what he said to Ben to make him start swinging. He explains how the cops are still going to prosecute. Abby is pretty angry, Ben calls Chad a liar, she wants to talk to Chad alone. More apologies, and he will do all he can to get Ben off. It is his fault entirely, yada, yada, She tells him to leave, Ben comes back in, not happy that Abby seems to have forgiven Chad. She says he is a jerk, as he always has been, but everyone makes mistakes.

Chad goes to see Jordan, bringing flowers, tells how he brought them before, but something happened, and he left....but he thinks she deserves flowers. He tells her about the talk with Ben, and how despite telling the police he wants to absolve Ben, they are going ahead anyway, so he will do everything in his power, won't stop trying, to make it all right again. He leaves, she fingers the flowers.

Hope has rushed back into the beach cottage, all upset, she doesn't have her passport. She is looking around the living room, is in a panic. Aiden keeps eyeing the place where he put the shovel and ax, tells Hope he took her on a tour of the entire house, so she should go check the dining room, he will look in here. She rushes off, he grabs the implements, but she is yelling "success, success", he puts them back, she rushes back. (honestly, I just cannot imagine why the passport would have even been taken out of her purse earlier, dumb ploy!). Now they have tea, she is happy they get some extra time together. They already met Shelley, who was getting the kids on to San Francisco, and she told the taxi driver to come back a bit later to take her to the airport. Ah, there he is at the door. She opens it, will be right out. Don't bother, says the driver, the bridge is out. She checks her phone, won't be fixed til tomorrow. The driver gives her the luggage, leaves. She has to call Shawn D. and the airline, Aiden tells her reception is better outside, so she goes out to see if she can get a signal. He goes for the shovel & ax again.

Sonny is still with Paul, who is making a long speech, proclaiming his love. Yes, he still loves Sonny, hasn't really been able to move on, no one comes close to measuring up to him. He knows it is too late, regrets losing Sonny, knew he would miss him, did not know how much. Sonny mostly just listens, admits he cared a lot about Paul back then, but he is very happy, very much in love, and insists Paul will find someone, too. Just be patient. He leaves. Meanwhile, Will is working on the last page of the article, doesn't like the way he worded the last sentence (about Paul coming out), too cliche'.

Paul gets a call from Will, who has finished the article, wants Paul to read it now, he is past due, Zoe called 3 times today already. He comes to Paul's room, gives Paul the article. Derrick brings in a tray with green tea. Paul is pouring, but Will is anxious. Paul takes the folder, begins to read.

Will goes to bathroom, Paul's phone rings, it is his mother returning his call. Paul tries to put her off, since Will is probably going to be coming out of the bathroom soon, but his mom worries. She knows he can't pitch any more, he can worry about a career later. Is he o.k. ? Finally, Paul tells her that this is something about him, something he wanted to tell her for a long, long time. Something he has known for years. He has a hard time getting it out. Behind him, Will has come out, but just stands there. Paul is nearly in tears, stammers, but finally manages to say it. "Mom, I'm gay".

Sonny is behind the bar at the club, Derrick comes in, first time there, did not know Sonny worked there. Sonny lets him know he owns the place, gives him a menu, Derrick introduces himself, orders green tea, asks Sonny if his visit with Paul went well. Sonny tells him they will not be having a conversation about Paul Narita, and will fix his tea. Derrick looks around, spots a Sonix magazine, with Will's picture on the cover. He picks it up, looks at the picture, smiles, and murmurs...bet YOUR visit with Paul is going really well. Sonny turns around...What did you say?

Thanks for the summary, Poirot. A better show today than yesterday. It looks like Sonny's about to learn all about Will's indiscretions. WHOO, I can't WAIT!!!! Also, while the JJ/Paige stuff is boring, everything Paige said to her mother today was true! I was cheering her on! But where does Theresa get off judging other people after everything she's done to Brady and John? Ridiculous.

I'm glad Paul finally came out. I also laughed when Will said his article is past due; we all joked about that yesterday, with how long he's taking.

I' so over the Jordan/Chad/Ben/Abby stuff. Dull filler. And frankly, so were Hope & Aiden today.

This episode was okay. I really hate that they're regressing Theresa back to what she was before. A couple of weeks ago I thought I was seeing some real growth in her and now it's like she has never had any, especially with what she said to J.J. I think the writers are trying to have us hate her on purpose just so we can root for Brady and Melanie to gain custody of the baby when Kristen comes back to town and they end up rescuing it. Heck, they already have Melanie investigating Dr. Mandrake anyway and she's going to be the hero of the hour. This whole thing makes me sick. Theresa will be lucky to have supervised visits with her baby because with her record the judge will probably end up deciding to have a social worker stay with Theresa while she spends time with the baby.

The sad part of this whole thing is that I was really looking forward to the Theresa/Brady baby storyline and I was hoping that Theresa would get her baby back if it's even alive and now Melanie's going to ruin it.

Actually the one thing I liked today was Paul coming out to his mom. I think Tori would be devastated at her son's announcement and this is what finally convinces her to come to Salem. I am looking forward to see if John being Paul's son does end up being true.

I'm getting nervous about Aiden. I don't know if he's really done anything bad but it doesn't look good. I really hope this story gets the treatment it deserves because other than the embryo baby-napping storyline and the Paul and Sonny saga, this is one of the few stories I'm interested in.

edited to write out Paul and Sonny's names...combo names ARE NOT used on this board....JS

Paul could be John's son? Is that just speculation or an actual spoiler?

Who exactly is Derrick? I thought he was just a neighbor of Paul's, but now he's entering Paul's apartment with tea? (Maybe it's not important.)

The Hope-stuck-at-the-beach-house story sounds lame, but axes and shovels sound interesting.

Total speculation on the part of many.

Derrick is a bellhop at the hotel Paul is staying in. (Paul does not have an apartment; although, they are re-using the set for Marlena's townhouse as Paul's hotel room)

There was nothing today at all about Melanie investigating Mandrake, and so far, all she has done in the past was ask her dad if he knew him. So, we really don't know, so far, what Melanie will do with what she overheard. Nor do we know anything at all about Theresa, the baby that was supposedly taken from her, or what Brady and/or Melanie MIGHT do if it turns out there is a baby. And NONE of that was in this episode. Just Theresa, yes, acting asinine, toward Paige, towards JJ, but then, Eve was doing the same.As was Chad, Ben, Anne.......really hate how slow moving and time wasting the dialogue is. Am glad Paul told his mother, and also, that Paige told off hers.

Yeah, I didn't like Theresa's attitude towards J.J., but to be fair, Paige should've taken her advice. I rolled my eyes when Paige basically decided not to do what her aunt suggested. Can this girl be any more stupid? God!

I have a feeling that Tori is not going to like Paul's news, considering what Paul has told Will about his family and I don't believe his fears are unfounded.

moved comments regarding possible stolen embryo to the thread about it in Daily days....Poirot

It could be his mother may not be bothered as much as his grandfather. Paul has stated before how the older generation feels/reacts to this kind of news.

If Eve keeps showing up at Salem U. to loudly discuss her daughter's relationships, she's going to get quite a reputation there. As has already been noted by other posters, what parent does this? On this subject, it would have been a nice touch if some of the students walking by gave Eve and Paige funny looks. Speaking of Eve, if she wants to keep her hate boinks with JJ a deep dark secret, she'd better quit having loud discussions with him in the doorway of her apartment. In Salem, the walls have ears, and her busybody neighbors may already be calling friends to say: "OMG, you'll never guess what Ms. Larson said today to her daughter's old boyfriend!" Finally, regarding the ferry to Aiden's apartment going out, this is something that the long-suffering residents of Smith Island (human and animal) could only dare to dream about. Imagine the blessed peace and quiet they'd get if Salem residents suddenly stopped showing up there.

Oh I hope hope hope Derrick tells Sonny about Will seeing Paul so many times over the past number of weeks. I just want a breakthrough in this story already.

So the Hope/Aiden story really went nowhere this week. And since they are only on two days a week and have fulfilled that quota already I'm sure we won't see them again until next week. I just don't get it. We had Melanie on something like 13 out of 15 episodes back in Nov/Dec to tell that ridiculous/worthless story of her stealing money from the casino in Europe and yet they can't commit more time to get this story out about Aiden??

As to the rest of today....I'm going to have to file that in my "I don't give a flying fig" folder.

I guess the bridge went out after the driver came back to get Hope :)

It doesn't make sense Hope lost her passport. Her purse didn't look big
enough to hold it.

I laughed when Will told Paul it wasn't his best work. I hope it's better
than the last article he wrote.

I wonder how long it will be before Derrick realizes who Will is to Sonny.
Maybe tomorrow.

Interesting scene when Paul told his mother he was gay.

I have my decaf green tea when I watch Days.

Dark Horse, Derrick is the bellman at the hotel that Paul & everyone else lives in who doesn't have a permanent home. (and while I'm writing, welcome to this wonderful place.
