Brady lays down the law to Theresa about her only living there temporarily, and keeping her job. She is indignant, wants to be a full time mother to Tate. Oh, but she can't be, ever, and he pulls out their agreement, and again emphasizes she is only in the mansion on a temp basis. She whines that everyone at work hates her. Gee, why is that, do you suppose, he asks, suggesting she then get another job, but not to quit this one til she has a new one. Hayley, the nanny, comes down, time for Tate's bottle. Theresa is about to spring on that one, but this is Brady's time period. She grabs her purse and flounces out.

Eve is waiting at the hospital impatiently, wanting to see Theresa. She spots Anne, who has no idea IF Theresa will b e coming in. Marlena comes along, reminding Eve they had a consultation appointment. Oops, Eve forgot. In her office, Marlena is suggesting therapists for Eve, who doesn't want a male, trusts Marlena so much, and her problem concerns her daughter, and then Jennifer & her family. And Eve knows Marlena knows them, she took care of Jen's mother when she had her troubles. Marlena refuses to discuss anyone else with Eve, starts rattling off female Dr. names. Eve is making excuses, finally gets a text that Theresa is there, so runs out, pretending the call was from her daughter.

She cons Theresa into getting a master key from Anne's office, promising to help Theresa with her problems later. Theresa brings her the key, Eve runs off. Anne has been trying to make Theresa realize that none of her tricks are going to work on Brady, he has made it clear she is only in the house on a temp basis, and he doesn't care what kind of a mother she is going to try and pretend to be, he won't be impressed. And he isn't giving her any money to spend on herself, so forget the designer clothes she piled up in the shopping cart on that website.
Later, Theresa sees a young couple all upset, their son fell off a slide, is getting stitches. They are all loving, and another nurse remarks how last year, same couple brought the boy in with a fever, and were yelling & screaming at each other, what a difference, you never know. You can see Theresa's light bulb moment as she tells herself something about how worry can bring people closer.

Paige sits with Daphne in the square, laptop open to the dating site. Paige has made a date with some older guy, wanted Daphne to be there. When the guy shows up, Paige gets cold feet, tells the man he did not mention his age, don't bother sitting down, this is not going to work. Daphne comes out of hiding, is shocked Paige picked such an older man, then realizes she wants to pay back her mom & JJ. Paige doesn't completely admit it, but when she spots Brady meeting up with John, she comments that might work. Daphne cannot believe she means Brady, but Paige doesn't reveal what her plan might be.

John wants to know when he can come see Tate, Brady tells of how great Tate is, lets John know theresa is there, too. John is not happy about that, asks if Brady hid the fireplace tools. Maggie took care of that already. He says it is just temporary, and is watching out.
Clyde is on the phone, learning Stefano is back in town, is not worried, he took care of Victor, can handle Stefano, too. He goes to see Ben, who is packing some stuff in boxes, making room for Abby, who is moving in. Clyde can see Ben seems a bit upset about something, convinces Ben to tell him about following Abby only to learn she had slept with Chad.
Abby & Ben are walking in the square, he cannot wait until she moves in, they spot Chad. Ben does a big production number, apologizing to Chad for how he acted last time they met, knows they will be bumping into each other, so let's make peace, offers his hand. Chad wonders why he is in such a good mood, Ben brags about Abby moving in, how happy they will be, yada, yada. Chad wishes them well, and leaves.

To DiMansion, Stefano on the phone with someone, telling them to keep doing what they are doing, and that he will take care of Chad....and Abigail, who will come round. When Chad comes in, he figures Stefano has made the rounds of town, so all can see he is back, and now wants to know WHY just now. Stefano claims he already told him he wants to be with his only surviving son. Chad wonders why he then wasn't with him last year, instead of galivanting around the world with his pretty assistants. Why is he really here. Stefano firmly moves a chess piece, and smiles at Chad.

JJ is on the phone with Bev, firming up their plan to spend the day together. Jen comes in the room, knows what JJ is trying to do, to forget Paige, not fair to the other girl, who has liked him for such a long time, to use him this way. JJ just wants to have some fun, so does Bev. He can't spend all his time in the house, feels like he is going insane. Jen warns him not to ever say that to her again, he is sorry, she talks of how hard it was to deal with her mother, such a bright woman. JJ notes she is fine now. Jen wants to continue this conversation on her way to work, nope, JJ is not going to talk about himself any more. He leaves to meet Bev.

They meet in the park, spread a blanket, along comes drug dealer, Kyle, who tells Bev that her friend Marge wants to talk to her, is over there. Bev will be right back, Kyle sits down with JJ, seems to want his list of customers or suppliers or something. JJ declines, he quit all that, is not into it. Bev returns, Marge did not want to see her, Kyle must have misunderstood, he says, and leaves. JJ & Bev leave as well.
And the man in the bushes who was watching, comes out, calls someone on the phone, says that JJ was talking to the drug dealer kid, should he keep watching or what?

Abby comes home, tells understanding Jen she is moving out. Jen is fine with it, Abby is an adult, but doesn't look all that happy, and Ben is such a fine man. Abby claims she just was worried how Jen would react, being all this trouble with JJ, etc. Jen gives her a letter from Ireland. Abby is surprised, we see her reading it aloud. Evidently from the daughter or sister of Bridget who helped Jen when Jen & Abby spent that time in Ireland. Now Bridget is ill, but won't tell anyone, or ask for any help. Abby's face is growing sad as she reads.

Brady is playing with Tate, having fed him his bottle, talking and telling him how he is the most important person in his life, and yet has only been in the house less than a day.

Back at the hospital, Eve comes whining and crying about her daughter, making up a story about calling Paige who says she never wants to talk to her again. Marlena has a staff meeting, Eve is wailing, tells her to go, she will just sit there a minute to compose herself again. (She already knew about the staff meeting from Theresa). Marlena says o.k., leaves, Eve wails a bit, shuts the door, gets out the key & opens the file cabinet of "old files". She finds Laura Horton's, takes it, locks the cabinet, grabs her purse and is rushing to leave, trying to get the file into her purse. The door opens practically in her face, she drops the file, and it is Jennifer, who does not have a happy face as she appears to see the name on the file on the floor.

Thanks for the summary. Boring episode.

Oh my goodness, will this Eve/Jennifer/Ben/Abigail/Clyde/JJ/Paige round robin EVER end? It's just NOT interesting, at all!! Paige is beyond ridiculous with her little revenge "schemes". It's so silly. Do the writers honestly believe that college-aged adults act this way, or that people want to watch this crappola?

I'm glad to see Chad and Stefano. Too bad they're being wasted by this Ben/Clyde story.

Brady and Theresa is yawn-worthy, but it's nice that John made an appearance. Also, it's nice to see Bev.

I waited all week for the "letter from abroad" and it was from the sister of Abigail's nanny? Yeesh!! I'll be interested only if it turns out Abby has an evil twin or something (and she's been in Salem for the past year!).

Why was that guy watching Kyle and JJ? And why did JJ have his shirt off...hadn't they just arrived?

Again...Marlena and John both appear. BUT NOT TOGETHER. The hate the writers feel for them is palpable at this point!!!

Jeannie T is going crazy, and Brady is a sanctimonious tool. I really, really want the new writers to correct this story. (In my mind, I want a Kristen-look-a-like social worker to take the baby from them.)

Ben creeps me out just like his rapist father. I hope he's not long for Salem. And I can't care about Chad, either.

I did enjoy seeing John though. Why the heck did Brady leave the baby as soon as it was his turn? What a loser!!

Eve...no.

Paige's plan is to date an older guy...Brady or John. And she's supposed to be smart?

Hey Paigey - Stanford called. They said, "Nevermind."

And Jennifer, Jennifer, Jennifer...I can't believe I miss the days of you harassing pregnant ladies. GET OUT OF YOUR SON'S BUSINESS!!

One part that caused me some concern- Theresa was at the nurses station and observed a young couple sitting in the waiting area, obviously upset. Theresa asked a nurse why they were so upset, she explained their toddler was getting stitches (which would never be happening to one of my kids without me in the room to console the kid, but anyhow).

When another nurse came out and reassured the parents the child was okay, they tearfully hugged, obviously relieved but loving each other. The nurse at the station with Theresa remarked that "they were in here last year when the kid had a fever and were screaming at each other the whole time, blaming each other for the illness".

You could see the light bulb go on above Theresa's head as she observed how that kind of scare could bring parents closer together. Ugh...please don't let Theresa harm or put Tate in harm's way just to try to get attention from Brady.

How convenient a couple that was on the outs last year is now happily together and bringing their son in for stitches just in time for a nurse to plant another ludicrous idea in Theresa's head. Is this loon about to fake an illness for Tate in an attempt to land herself in Brady's bed? I don't think Sami even stooped to this level with Will in her shenanigans with Austin, did she?

Since when is it standard practice for Human Resources to have master keys to offices? I thought only facilities management/security had access like that. This is dumb!

What the heck is Stefano going to do to Abby in Ireland?

Thanks for watching this. I can't believe these stories are supposed to hold my attention. Abby with a sick Nanny something that we've never heard of before? Paige wanting to sleep with someone older to get back at her mother??? This one is really a head scratcher. It makes NO freaking sense in this world or a number of alternate universes.

Editing seems terrible. Brady kicking Jeannie T out then taking off, then coming back to tell his little Tater Tot he's the most important thing in the world. While Jeannie T is planning to harm her child who just went through a bone marrow transplant to survive. And she's out running around after giving bone marrow.

I'm stopping now as there is no end to the stupidity of these stories. HR having master keys to private file cabinets.

Eve wails a bit, shuts the door, gets out the key & opens the file cabinet of "old files". She finds Laura Horton's, takes it, locks the cabinet, grabs her purse and is rushing to leave, trying to get the file into her purse. The door opens practically in her face, she drops the file, and it is Jennifer, who does not have a happy face as she appears to see the name on the file on the floor.

Jennifer appears to see the name on the file today but tomorrow it will almost certainly turn out she didn't. IF ONLY this latest stupid scheme of Eve's would be thwarted that quickly!

Forgot to mention...Laura's file looked pretty thin. I'm assuming that was just 1 of 6 or so.

One part that caused me some concern- Theresa was at the nurses station and observed a young couple sitting in the waiting area, obviously upset. Theresa asked a nurse why they were so upset, she explained their toddler was getting stitches...

Yes, the HIPAA violation here is pretty glaring. And we thought the writers had learned!! LOL

I really hope Jeannie T tries something, Brady gets blamed, they BOTH lose custody, and someone with a brain gets to care for Tater Tot...at least for awhile. I can't overstate the bilious rage with which this story fills me!!

I don't think HIPAA laws exist in Salem. I would have lost my job a hundred times over if I talked about patient's private information like that. It's really stupid.

I am thinking it's going to go something like this, Jason- Theresa will notice Brady paying attention to the nanny, because she is a pretty female that he's never slept with (that we know of) and he can't be alone in bed for ten minutes...Theresa will have something happen with Tate and frame the nanny...whee.

Methinks you're right KatieR.

Meanwhile the HIPAA thing wouldn't have bothered me...BUT they were using HIPAA as a roadblock and reason for Daniel to berate Nicole less than 2 months ago. I was hoping it was a sea change in the writers' Salem reality, but instead, it was just a plot point.

So now JJ is being tailed? That's the very definition of the word "random" in oh so very humble opinion. My guess is the situation is not going to be as ominous as it appears. My guess is the guy may turn out to be a cop whose been keeping tabs on JJ because of the anonymous tip Cole sent in. I know that was weeks ago but if my theory's right they'll just play it off that's been happening off-screen this whole time.

I think what we're going to get is essentially a repeat of the scenario we had when Melanie returned last fall. We had those two shady types tracking her down who we were led to believe were crooks but they turned out to be casino marshals *although they were still pretty sketchy*. I didn't buy it then and my gut instinct is to not buy it now.

Paige: No, just no.

Theresa: Boy, just when we thought she had already scraped the bottom of the barrel, right? If she does what we think she's going to do then she will no longer be fit to be mentioned in the same sentence as the fine words "scraped," "bottom", or "barrel."

Brady got his job through his genetics. He's bombed out of said job going on benders a bunch of times, and got job back because of genetics. He needs to shut up with the career advice, he's being a hypocrite. Not that I'm saying he's wrong about Theresa having her own income and not being dependent on him, but there's ways to say that without looking like a jerk who has no self-awareness of his own situation.

Meh, the kid got stitches, I'll handwave the privacy laws on that. But I do not want Theresa to go all Munchausen's on poor Tate. Kids get plenty sick on their own, just wait until he has the sniffles or something.

Is it just me, or did Paige's Tinder date look a lot like Doc McStuffins? Then she was making eyes at Brady, the only man on the show who is a hotter mess than JJ. Just no already.

Dear writers, a master key opens DOORS, not filing cabinets. This is stupid.

Was interesting to see the difference between how Jenn spoke to JJ about his problems versus to Abby about hers.

The panpipes and the Oirish is giving me the heebies. If the "Abigail Devereaux Problem" goes anywhere near Santo/Colleen I'll be very, very unhappy.

Amidst today's tedium and nonsense, there were the lucky, the unlucky, and the delusional. Perhaps the luckiest was the guy who wanted to socialize with Paigie. Fortunately, he was too old, so he missed getting involved with an embittered, revenge-minded young woman, and down the road, her bat-crap crazy mother. Less lucky was Anne Milbauer who, OMG, had to listen to ravings of demented Eve and the inane prattling of Jeannie T. on the same day; and the guy who's tailing JJ, who's likely to die of boredom. The unluckiest of all is probably Tater Tot whose parents are the clueless Brady and Jeannie T. the scheming gold digger. Leading the league in delusions was Clyde who actually said: "I'm not going to have any problem with Stefano DiMera." These sound like famous last words -- literally last words. And then there was, who else, that master of helicopter parenting, Jenny, who appears to think than a college guy's idea of fun is vacationing with his mother. Forget, JJ, Jenny, and worry about your pajama-top wearing, perfect daughter who's now the object of a tug-of-war between a creepy Weston and a conniving DiMera.

Brady is an obnoxious, idiot. His baby can't live in a small apartment?!? Didn't he and Chloe live in an apartment?

I hope Jeannie doesn't develop munchausen by proxy. I don't want to see Tate harmed in any way. And if she does pull a stunt like that, I hope she loses custody immediately. Words cannot describe how angry this storyline makes me.

Not a fan of Eve's too tight white dress. And as for Jeannie, since when does HR use computers at the nurse's station? And why would she have access to Marlena's schedule? Isn't that her secretary's job? This show becomes more of a joke by the minute.

Also not a fan of Marlena being used to support other characters.

Interesting reaction Jen had to Abigail's news. I was lost with the whole nanny and letter bit. The only thing that could save this for me is for Stefano to be behind the letter as well as the guy following JJ. Is Jack being held captive in Ireland perhaps? Or maybe Abigail's baby with EJ? Knowing these writers though, this will probably fall flat.

Abigail's letter was interesting.....I slightly remember the storyline from 2000 where Jen and Abby were hiding out in Ireland for Bo to come rescue them and Jack MIA. Perhaps Jack is being held captive in the same place.

The man in the bushes I speculate (deleted spoiler in non-spoiler forum) he is Paige's father spying on JJ?

Is Bridget a nanny Abby had? I guess she could be. Will Abby go there to
see her friend? Wasn't the Colleen and Santo story in Ireland?

I hope Tate is going to be ok since Theresa has a new plan in motion to keep
Brady in her life. We don't need another story about someone losing their baby.

At first, I thought the man watching JJ worked for Stefano, but Stefano was busy
talking to Chad. I wonder if the man might be a Salem police officer since Kyle
deals in drugs.

Nice to see John and Marlena on the show today. Too bad no scenes together.
I laughed when John talked to Brady about the fireplace poker.

Did anyone else notice Brady's face? When he was in the K-mansion his beard
didn't look as thick. When he was Club TBD, it looked thicker. Maybe beards
grow fast in Salem :)
